Nike Air More Uptempo – 2010 Release

nike-air-more-uptempo-retro

Before Scottie Pippen’s signature line was born at Nike he was known to wore and endorsed the Air More Uptempo, a sneaker which a lot of people assume is part of Scottie’s signature line due to the fact it wore it quite often, including in ‘96 when he did a stint with the Olympic Dream Team in a pair that had his #8 emboridered on the heel.

Some of you may be to young to remember those days, or maybe you’re from that era but just (sadly) didn’t have an interest in sneakers at the time. I however remember the shoes very clearly and for those who don’t you’ll have a chance to experience them as if we’re back in the 90’s as Nike is preparing to retro the sneakers later this year. Official release dates and all that jazz is still unclear at this time but thanks to TSG we’ve got some catalog scans of the shoes in two colorways. Unfortunately they’re just colored drawings and don’t provide us with a look at the actual detail put into the sneakers but at least now we can confirm that the Nike Air More Uptempo will return.

When we know more you’ll know more. For now click here to check out the other colorway.

Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar – New Colorways

Omar Salazar’s signature shoe with Nike SB not only marks a glorious occasion for him but it does the same for brand as this is the first time Flywire Technology has ever been fused into a pair of Nike SB’s. Not only that but the sneakers, the Zoom Omar Salazar, have been getting great reviews all over the web which is always a good sign when you venture into an entirely new field like this.

To celebrate the launch of the sneakers Nike SB and Omar Salazar had a little get together in San Fransisco where the Nike SB Zoom Omar Salazar was displayed in the two colorways releasing at stores now and in a few upcoming color schemes. Thankfully Hypebeast was on hand and snapped a few shots of the new colorways so we can all get a little preview of what’s to come from the Zoom Omar Salazar.

Shown in the photos is a Brown leather model and Blue, Grey, Purple and Yellow version fabricated from suede. When further details and photos become available we’ll be sure to let you know what the deal is, until then click here to check out the photos.

Nike Blazer High – Black/Metallic Silver

Like the Dunk and Air Force 1 the Blazer sits at the head of Nike’s collection as one of the brands most popular and profitable models. Whether it be outlandish designs like that featured on the Turbo Green/Club Purple version we showed you last week or subtle designs like this Black/Metallic Silver version where simplicity is key, no matter what you throw at the Blazer it just seems fitting. It’s the perfect template.

For this latest offering of the Blazer High Nike constructed the upper from a Black synthetic material which appears to be nylon but may actually not be nylon. I can’t be exact on what it is without the sneaker in hand but I can tell you that it looks to be the same material used on the Nike Blazer High U “Tattoo” we showed you awhile back. To go along with that Nike added in a touch of Metallic Silver on the lace panels and heel tab, stitched up some Black leather on the Swoosh and glued up a White outsole to further accent the upper.

If you’re interested you can get em now through Finish Line for a price of $78 in sizes up to 13.

Supra Vaider “St. Patrick’s Day” Preview

supra-vaider-st-patricks-day

With St. Patrick’s Day only a week away the rush is on for footwear companies to get their St. Patty’s Day releases to the stores and into the hands of consumers.

Nike is usually the #1 contender when it comes to themed holiday releases, releasing some of the most talked about sneakers, but lately Supra Footwear has been giving them some tough competition in the market. Last month Nike provided us with a variety of Valentine’s Day releases for men, women and kids, but nothing could compare to buzz the Supra Skytop “Heartbreaker” got, the one and only Valentine’s Day release from Supra. It took 1 release from Supra to gather more interest then all of Nike’s releases put together.

This month Supra Footwear looks to repeat their success with a St. Patrick’s Day release, on a pair of Vaiders. We aren’t given an entire look at the shoes just yet but from the preview provided you can clearly see Supra went with a Green and Orange color scheme laid out on a patent leather Vaider. For awhile now we’ve been seeing St. Patrick’s Day releases using Green and White, which is defiantly a color scheme to be associated with the holiday and the flag of Ireland, so it’s nice to see that Supra gave us a little something different here other then the norm.

No official release details are available just yet, nor do we know how limited they’ll be. When further details surface we’ll be sure to let you know, until then just enjoy the preview supplied by Factory 413.

DC LIFE Admiral – Violet/Fire

dc-life-admiral-violet-fire

DC LIFE is celebrating the 7th season of their popular silhouette the Admiral, in its Spring ‘10 Collection. In honor of 7years strong DC LIFE has worked up a number of new Admiral’s with one of our personal favorites being this new colorway of Violet/Fire which came about by literally taking a road trip across Western America and experiencing the colors and culture of the West.

The upper consists of full-grain leather and synthetic materials in a combo of Violet/Fire which is very reminiscent of a warm sunset in the Western mountains. The foot bed is molded in a soft latex supported by a EVA insert cup sole construction for extra comfort and the outsole features DC’s Sticky Rubber Outsole technology featuring the engineered design of DC’s Trademarked Pill Pattern for abrasion resistance. An inspirational road trip across the West is not complete without the indigenous prints and patterns infused by the natives, therefore DC LIFE worked closely with NATIONAL FOREST for a custom Indigenous Modern pattern which was worked onto the sublimated satin lining interior.

If you can dig it and you’re interested in getting a pair you can get em now through the DC Webstore for $130 in sizes up to 13.

Jordan Brand Announces the Bin 23 Collection

air-jordan-bin-23-collection

A lot of Jordan fans and collectors have recently been feeling as if Jordan Brand has been cutting them short of premium releases and still sticking em with the premium prices regardless of the fact. Those of us who grew up in the 80’s and were deep in the game in the early 90’s can remember the days when every pair of Jordan’s was pretty much a premium pair due to their high grade materials and the exceptional quality that went into each pair. Those days unfortunately came to an end though, as most good things do, and the quality started to slack and the prices started to rise.

Knowing just what we’re talking about and knowing we’re looking for premium releases Jordan Brand has answered our call and introduced the Bin 23 Collection with the Brown Croc Air Jordan Retro II being the first release from the collection. Think of it as a premium collection, in limited quantities, with each pair individually numbered. Something for the true collectors out there who won’t mind paying a little extra for something truly special.
