Ice Cream Board Flip ‘P’ Customs – Made for Pharrell

Skateboard P, otherwise known as Pharrell is shown above holding a pair of custom designed Ice Cream Board Flip IIs which were specially designed for him. Fellow sneakerhead Pharrell reached out to designer JGoods to work on this project and add yet another custom sneaker to his ever growing collection. Working with an Ice Cream Board Flip as a base isnt something JGoods is all that familiar with but being a man of many talents he was pretty confident he could get the job done. Plus, how do you say no to somebody like Pharrell when they reach out to you for a job like this? You dont, you just make it happen and get the job done, which JGoods clearly did here. Besides for the obvious green, black and white checker pattern JGoods added an ice cream design which is shown dripping down all around the top of the sneaker. You take notice to it all the way up the lace tab, around the ankle and out to the back on the heel. The dripping ice cream design also found its way to the top of the tongue too. Im sure Pharrell was more then pleased with the final results as JGoods put in a lot of time and effort to make them truly unique and clean for the hip hop mogul. These puppies cost Pharrell a whopping $1,100, but what do you expect for such a quality job like this. More pictures of all the details follow after the jump, check em out to see that dripping ice cream design up close.

Nike Windrunner “Elephant” Customs

We dont see to many Nike Windrunner TR II custom sneakers being designed so today i figured i would present to you these ‘Elephant Windrunners’ by Ghettro. One of the main things you will notice right off the bat is the signature Air Jordan cement/elephant pattern which was included on one panel that makes up the lace tab. The perforated material which covers the tongue and mid panel is nylon which Ghettro cut from a Suns jersey and stitched up to the sneakers. Theres has also been a nice little feature thrown into the mix to make these custom Windrunner sneakers pop even more but im not gonna ruin the surprise for you by telling you. Your gonna have to check out the rest of the shots after the jump to see what im talking about. I know inquiring minds wanna know so hit that jump link, its not something you are easily gonna be able to look past.

Throwback: Nike Vandal Tear Away ‘NBA All-Star’ Customs

Since he started customizing sneakers EmmanueLabor has put some pretty sick designs together which have had a lot of people talking about his work. I know a lot of you were liking those Vitamin Water Air Force Ones posted awhile ago. You can always expect EmmanueLabor to think outside the box and spend the time designing the image in his head before any paints, fabrics or sewing machines are taken out and put to work. Its always been a pleasure to see what he brings to the custom sneaker industry. Until he drops something new and fresh i figured i would put up a throwback post of these custom Tear Away Nike Vandals which EmmaneLabor did for the NBA All Star Game Weekend in 2005 that took place in Denver. Just looking at these and seeing the craftsmanship and detail that has been put into them is amazing. Loving the way the fabric was cut with various sized holes here and there, specially the nice big opening at the top displaying the NBA All Star logo behind it. Once you tear away the fabric the design of sneaker changes to a ‘picture box’ display showing all the players that played in the NBA All Star Game that year. In my personal opinion these are one of my favorites by EmmaneLabor from back in the day but according to him they didnt come out as good as he personally would have liked them too. Check out more pictures after the jump and stayed tuned to updates on what EmmaneLabor does next.

Supra Skytop ‘Apollo’ Custom Sneakers

Today i bring you the first pair of custom Skytops to ever be featured here on the site. FLD Designz out of St. Louis is responsible for laying out the sick graphics on the Supra Skytops which are dubbed Apollo. The use of teal, black and white usually always tends to be a nice color combo and that matched with the crazy brown, black, gray and white abstract pattern is sure to attract a couple eyes on the streets. It sorts of almost reminds me of an animated wood design you would see in a cartoon but then again you have those 3 random white dots throw into the mix to give it a little something extra. The overlapping ring design in gray is pretty cool too. Overall id have to say i would personally rock these myself, the work is top quality and the designs are pretty smooth with how they are laid out. Im liking the tongue too with the way the middle was painted black and just the thick white outline was left around it, thats a nice look. I love the fact people like FLD Designz are working with different bases besides the usual Air Force Ones or Nike Dunks, its brings a nice variety to the industry. I hope in the future we can feature some more custom Skytops here on the site for you along with anything and everything cuztomizers wanna throw out there. Check out more detailed pictures after the jump.

‘Swamp Thing’ Custom Sneaker Teaser Pic

Our friend Sekure D has a new project in the works which involves a theme based on the comic book character known as Swamp Thing. Until the pictures are officially released of the sneakers we have teaser shot here to show you some of the design scheme Sekure D is going with. The neon green sort of gives me a Toxic Crusader vibe, but at the same time i think Swamp thing as well. Juding by recent work of Sekure D its not likely we will see a Swamp Thing image included in the design but you can guarantee that youll be feeling that sticky, dirty, grimey feeling when you get a full glimpse of these. Stay tuned to Sneaker Obsession for the detailed pics coming soon.

Air Jordan Fusion III ‘Rainbow Glass 2″ Customs

As soon as i saw these custom Fusion III Air Jordan Shoes they immediately caught my attention. Mateo is who the designer of the Rainbow Glass Air Force Ones gave his rainbow glass pattern a section run here on these AJ Fusions IIIs. Mateo does some amazing work with his color fading and you can really take notice to that on these where he blended multiple colors on just about every part of the sneaker. The quality of the multi color fade between the elephant/cement print is superb and the shattered glass pattern of course is no different. Check out the stitching on the midsole too, Mateo also did that up in a multi color design to continue with the vibrant look of the sneakers. The speckle/splatter design on the midsole and up on the panel around the ankle is a nice added feature too which helps wrap up the the multi color Fusion III design. Mateo also felt the sneakers were missing the Nike Swoosh and thought it would help its overall appearance so before putting everything away and breaking out the camera for pictures, he stitched on a nice clean white Nike Swoosh which i have to say does add a pretty nice touch to the look. The sneakers were planned to be laced up with black laces but at the time orange was all that was available. If anybody is interested they are available in a size 7 for $200. Contact Mateo for your questions and check out more shots after the jump.
