Adidas Superstar 2 ‘Royal Flush’ Customs

adidas-superstar-royal-flush

A short while back Sole Brother held their first Ultimate Sneaker contest which allowed viewers to submit descriptions of their perfect custom sneakers in the hopes of having their ideas turned into reality. When the contest came to an end and all the entries were received, Marc Lee from Malaysia was announced the winner with his idea that Sole Brother dubbed ‘Royal Flush’. Sole Brother did a wonderful job in fulfilling the description Marc had written up about his idea. Below is Marcs actual description of his Ultimate Sneaker.

“My ultimate sneaker would be a white Adidas Superstar 2 shoe with:
a deck of normal bicycle card design (Only the royal cards Ace King Queen Jack). all over the shoe with some face down, showing the back of the card. Since the common decks are blue and red, the left shoe can have the red deck (red 3 stripes) and the right shoe can have the blue deck (blue 3 stripes)”

Needless to say Marc was more then happy to win the contest and get his very own pair of custom sneakers for free. More pictures of the final design created by Sole Brother follows after the jump.

Big Boi – Sir Lucious Leftfoot Air Force Ones

YouTube Preview Image

Big Boi, from the legendary hip hop group Outkast collaborated with Nike on a pair of Air Force Ones made exclusively for him. Known as the Sir Lucious Leftfoot AF1, the sneakers are a 1 of 1 which you will only find in the hands of Big Boi himself. I dont think youll be seeing these on ebay anytime soon, and as of right now i dont believe youll find them mass produced, or even produced in limited numbers for the public. Big Boi says in the video that Nike wanted to sell them but he just wanted his own. The design of the sneakers includes a nice mix of white, green, orange and gold to make up a vibrant pair of Air Force Ones that are sure to snap a few necks during concerts and public apperances. Sort of remind me of the ?uestlove Air Questo a little bit. Check out the video of Big Boi showing off the Sir Lucious Leftfoot Air Force Ones above to get a look at them. As Big Boi says in the video, “You Cant Buy These Sneakers”.

edit 8/20: Yes, they are a pair of Nike IDs. However, Nike IDs are custom designed by the buyer, meaning they order a pair of custom Nikes which they exclusively designed.

Nike Dunk ‘Project C4: Vol II’ Customs

nike_dunk_project_c4

Imag4ever and C2 are back at it again with this crazy pair of Nike Dunks dubbed ‘Project C4: Vol II’. Awhile back Imag4ever and C2 collaborated together on a couple pairs of Nike Dunk Lows which were known as C4. The 2 artists decided to keep the c4 Project going with this newest pair of Nike Dunks. The sneakers have a lot going on with them which all seems to flow together perfectly. The toe box is covered with a vibrant red Croc material while the mid panel is covered in black Croc. Along the frontal and up the lace tab C2 added a nice camo design which came out flawless, as it usually has in the past with his previous camo sneakers hes worked on. On the heel panel of the Nike Dunks C2 also added a newly design ‘C4′ logo which looks pretty cool with the burning wick. Imag4ever finished up the Dunks by replacing the base Nike Swoosh with his own creation known as the “shorty swoosh”. This is part 1 of Project C4: Vol II, there will be another pair of Nike Dunks to follow so stayed tuned to Sneaker Obsession for the follow up on those. Plenty more shots follow after the jump.

Nike Dunk ‘Yellow Star’ Customs

nike_dunk_yellow_stars

These custom Nike Dunks really caught my attention when i saw them on ISS. How wouldnt they though with the use of nothing but stars covering the upper, its more then enough to attract a few eyeballs at first glance. The custom Nike Dunks shown above known as ‘Yellow Star’ are the creation of artist Sandernagel, who was obviously inspried by the stars, or maybe the Supreme Nike Dunks, who knows. The concept behind the design is pretty cool with the way the stars are imperfect, sort of like you would see them in a comic book or in an actual painting/drawing. Among the mostly white and yellow starts, Sandernagel threw in some yellow stars outlined in orange to help break up the stars and match up with the embroderied Nike logo on the back. Personally speaking i feel the toe box could of been left black, but overall these are a fresh pair of customs Nike Dunks. Check out another shot after the jump.

Nike Dunk ‘Dichroic Denim’ Customs

nike_dunk_dichroic

Adam from tM Customs presents to us his newest pair of custom sneakers which are known as ‘Dichroic Denim’. The Nike Dunks use a combo of 2 shades of denim along with Dichroic material. Take notice to the Nike Swoosh and tongue tags, thats the dichroic material. Depending on the light hitting it and the angle you are looking at, the material will seem to change colors right before your eyes. The denim may appear to be a little rough around the edges and frayed up a bit, but thats exactly the route tM Customs was going for with these. Check out some more shots after the jump.
