‘Swamp Thing’ Custom Sneaker Teaser Pic

Our friend Sekure D has a new project in the works which involves a theme based on the comic book character known as Swamp Thing. Until the pictures are officially released of the sneakers we have teaser shot here to show you some of the design scheme Sekure D is going with. The neon green sort of gives me a Toxic Crusader vibe, but at the same time i think Swamp thing as well. Juding by recent work of Sekure D its not likely we will see a Swamp Thing image included in the design but you can guarantee that youll be feeling that sticky, dirty, grimey feeling when you get a full glimpse of these. Stay tuned to Sneaker Obsession for the detailed pics coming soon.

Air Jordan Fusion III ‘Rainbow Glass 2″ Customs

As soon as i saw these custom Fusion III Air Jordan Shoes they immediately caught my attention. Mateo is who the designer of the Rainbow Glass Air Force Ones gave his rainbow glass pattern a section run here on these AJ Fusions IIIs. Mateo does some amazing work with his color fading and you can really take notice to that on these where he blended multiple colors on just about every part of the sneaker. The quality of the multi color fade between the elephant/cement print is superb and the shattered glass pattern of course is no different. Check out the stitching on the midsole too, Mateo also did that up in a multi color design to continue with the vibrant look of the sneakers. The speckle/splatter design on the midsole and up on the panel around the ankle is a nice added feature too which helps wrap up the the multi color Fusion III design. Mateo also felt the sneakers were missing the Nike Swoosh and thought it would help its overall appearance so before putting everything away and breaking out the camera for pictures, he stitched on a nice clean white Nike Swoosh which i have to say does add a pretty nice touch to the look. The sneakers were planned to be laced up with black laces but at the time orange was all that was available. If anybody is interested they are available in a size 7 for $200. Contact Mateo for your questions and check out more shots after the jump.

Custom Nike ‘F14′ Dunks

Here we have a new pair of custom Nike Dunks designed by TheStarscream who is also the artist behind the Soul Glo Air Force Ones and more. These are dubbed ‘F14′ and the design includes a nice red, gray and black colorway. Im not really sure what TheStarscream is officially calling the pattern included on them but it sort of reminds me of Space Invaders for some reason. Like the new and improved Space Invaders with the F14 on the heel that was blended into the pattern instead of some old 1960s spaceship. Thats what i see atleast when i look at these, but ive always been known to interpret things differently then others so take a look for yourself. Besides the pattern being added to the frontal and heel panel TheStarscream also threw in some red and black on the rest of the upper panels. The toe box is sort of interesting as well, where as most of it was painted black TheStarscream added a small section of red to it where it attaches to the tongue to 2 tone look. Couple more pictures follow after the jump, check em out.

MyAirShoes hates on Sneaker Obsession

I received a pretty interesting email today from a viewer by the name of Mark. Below is the actual email copied and pasted from the Sneaker Obsession inbox.
“What’s good Sneaker Obsession. Just want to let you guy’s know that I’m a daily viewer on the site and I love what you guy’s are doing here. I am also a reader on many other sneaker related blog’s as you can imagine any sneaker head would be. A few day’s ago i was on My Air Shoes and noticed abunch of customs which have been posted on your site before. I left a comment, as I have done on many other post’s before with something along the lines of “these are nice, I’ve seen them on sneaker obesession before”. Since I waste countless hours online I tend to follow comment’s and stuff just to see what people are talking about. I noticed that the comment I left which mentioned Sneaker Obsession got deleted, in 2 posts. I thought that was strange, since none of my comment’s were ever deleted before. Then I thought to myself, hey wait, maybe It’s cause of the fact I mentioned another site which they may not like. So I commented again, asking why my comment got deleted and If there was some sort of hate towards SO. Wouldn’t you know it my comment got deleted once again. It seems it My Air Shoes hate’s on Sneaker Obsession for some reason. Maybe you guy’s know of some reason or maybe It’s just a hater before a hater. It’s funny though cause if you look in they’re custom section you can see how the section almost follows your content, same custom’s posted in the same order. I thought that was sort of lame. I believe in giving props were props are due but hey that’s just me. To me it now seems like the people behind My Air Shoes are nothing but a bunch of lames and I can honestly say that’s the last time I will be visiting their site. I dont want to support haters. Keep up the good work with what you guy’s are doing here. Customizers know SO for helping them out so continue going strong and fu** hater ass sites like My Air Shoes and whoever else may follow during your journey. If you happened to read My Air Shoes I would suggest you stop visiting they’re site as well since they show hate towards you. I will forever always be a loyal reader on Sneaker Obsession and the rest of the blogs who aren’t scared to give props. Take care fellas, and females if their are any.”
Pretty interesting email to use here at Sneaker Obsession. Not have we once ever had a problem with My Air Shoes but from the sounds of it they have a problem with us so its pretty surprising to get something like this in the inbox. I dont really have much to say about the matter cause there are plenty of haters out there so you just gotta take things from where they come from. Its no surprise when somebody shows hates cause you know your always bound to across a few haters during your life. Thanks for taking the time to email us Mark and showing your interest in Sneaker Obsession, its people like you who we do this for.
Custom Nike ‘Glow In The Dark’ Dunks

Designer ONE20SEVEN hit me up VIA email with some pictures of these pretty interesting Nike Dunks. Using a glow in the dark pair of Dunks as the base ONE20SEVEN added a neon green light strip around the Nike Swoosh to make em glow even more. The light is powered by 2 AA batteries hidden behind the tongue of the shoe with easy button snap access. They dont just light up a solid green neon though, 2 settings have been added where you can change them from either solid or strobe. They also have a tennis ball fur lining and insole but you cant notice that in the pictures, so just make a note of it. Only 2 pairs have been done, 1 for a customer and another personal pair for ONE20SEVEN himself. If your interested in purchasing these sneakers ONE20SEVEN may be willing to part with them so contact him Via Email or through Myspace. Another shot follows after the jump.

Throwback: Nike Air Force One ‘ATC’ Customs

I was looking at some old pictures of throwback customs by Ghettroand i figured i would put up these custom air force ones for those of you how many not have seen them before. Ghettro did these over 3 years ago for a customer before the Air Tech Challenge theme got somewhat saturated in the custom sneaker industry. At the time there were only a hand full of designers using the theme, C2 Customs being one of them. I think these are fresh as hell, one of my favorites from Ghettro. I wouldnt mind seeing a pack of these in a few colorways coming from Ghettro, just designed a little differently to keep the customers pair original as it was when they purchased it. If you match up the lava design to the original design on a pair of ATCs you will see that the quality is flawless here. These would be a nice fit with something like the Goodfoot ATC Hat or the Leaders1354 ‘Rebel Leaders’ Fitted. Check out more shots after the jump.
