Nike SB Dunks

Nike SB debuted the Nike SB Dunks in March 2002 when the company released the ‘Artist Series’ in collaboration with professional skateboarders Gino Iannucci, Richard Mulder, Reese Forbes, and Danny Supa. The Nike Dunks revamped by Nike SB have the same silhouette of your basic Dunks, just altered a bit to take the wear and tear a sneaker goes through during a skate session.

Nike SB designed the Nike SB Dunk with Zoom Air insoles with extra padding added around the ankle and tongue. The extra padding added to the tongue giving them a somewhat “puffy” look became something which many people quickly enjoyed being added to the sneakers. Since a good pair of skate shoes are put through elements while skateboarding Nike SB double and triple stitched the Nike SB Dunks to withstand a little more then regular Nike SB Dunks.

When the Nike SB Dunks started gaining popularity the company started pumping out a ton of different colorways showing you they defiantly knew how to work with the color wheel. Nike SB also took on many collaborations with companies, artists and athletes involving the Nike SB Dunks and designed a slew of designs inspired by popular products on the market or people, such as the PeeWee Herman Nike SB Dunks.

Dont expect to find Nike SB Dunks at just any retailer though. Nike SB sneakers are only sold at select retailers, making the shoes somewhat exclusive compared to sneakers you can get in just any retailer around the world.
