The Nike Blazer originally made its debut to the footwear industry in 1973. Nike, a company which had been notrious for running sneakers and trainers released the Blazers in ‘73 at their first sneaker geared towards basketball. It took a little time but the Blazers quickly took to the market and proved to be a success to Nikes induction into the basketball sneaker market. More then 35 years after their debut the Nike Blazer still continues to be a popular seller in Nike’s expanding footwear catalog.  The sneakers are adored by both men and women, and are available in kids and infant sizes as well.

In 2005 the Nike SB Blazers were introduced. Nike SB took on the Nike Blazers and added a few minor changes to the sneakers to make them fit right in with their collection of skateboarding sneakers. For starters Nike SB threw in a Zoom Air insole which provided superior comfort and added support. After that some extra padding was added all around the shoe. Besides for that the Nike Blazers remained complete the same. Seeing as how the Nike Blazers were already a popular seller for years before hand its needless to say when the Nike SB Blazer was introduced in 2005 it instantly took off.
