On November 19th 2007, Nike and Foot Locker opened up the very first House of Hoops location in New York City. The shop, which Foot Locker labels as a concept shop, is intended to be the new temple from basketball products. Under the House of Hoops roof you’ll find basketball sneakers and apparel designed by Nike, Jordan Brand and Converse. Along with many of your general release basketball sneakers, the House of Hoops also gets all sorts of exclusive releases from PE models to extremely limited colorways and/or designs of certain models.
After opening up in New York City, Nike and Foot Locker went on to establish House of Hoops locations in Los Angeles at the Beverly Center Mall in October 2008, and at the North Riverside Mall in Chicago in November 2008. Since then, more than 25 House of Hoops locations have been opened around the US with another 3 abroad.
