Looks like there’s a NIKEiD design contest going on involving Kobe Bryant, a chance to attend a Lakers game at the Staples Center, and some signed shoes. You can enter between now and March 9, but you’ve got some strong competition from Lil’ Dez.

Inside The Sneaker Box: Nike SB Dunk High “Oceanic Airlines”

A few weeks back Nike SB decided to shake the game up a little bit. We’re all familiar with Quickstrikes, well the folks over at Nike SB decided to drop what they’re calling a “Mystery Strike”. The “Mystery Strike” is what we know as the Nike SB “LOST” Pack consisting of a lined colored SB Blazer with the word “SHOE” on the back upper heel and a suede SB Dunk High Premium modeled after the doomed Oceanic Airlines from the hit TV show “LOST” which is now in it’s final series. The Sneaker Box crew got their hands on the SB Dunk part of the pack and a did a full Inside The Sneaker Box episode giving us a nice detailed look at the sneakers. MVPuppets: Smoking Hot Zoom Kobe V

Just a little while ago we saw Puppet Kobe bust a freestyle about how hot his Zoom Kobe V is, which turned into an episode which almost ended up burning down the video set. As it turns out Puppet Kobe wasn’t lying, the Nike Zoom Kobe V really is smoking hot. So hot that it erupted a fire in the sneaker closet of Puppet Lebron and Puppet Kobe’s house. Luckily Lil Dez was home playing video games to put in a call to the local fire department before the entire house burned to the ground.

MVPuppets: Puppet Kobe “Zoom Kobe V” Rap

As Kobe fans and sneakerheads alike know, the Nike Zoom Kobe V “LA Lakers Away” (also known as the Black/Del Sol/Varsity Purple Kobe V) is set to release this coming weekend on Saturday, January 16th. To hype up the sneakers before their release and keep em fresh on everybody’s minds Nike Basketball has honored their latest MVPuppets video to the Zoom Kobe V. The video has Puppet Kobe on a video set rapping about his sneakers and finding out first hand just how hot they are. Luckily Lil Dez happened be on set to give Kobe a hand cooling things down. Puppet LeBron isn’t featured in this video, but he’ll make an appearance in a follow up video real soon so stay tuned!!

Nike Sportswear “True City” iPhone Application

Yesterday Nike Sportswear announced that they will be releasing an iPhone application later this week known as True City. At this time details about the application are slim, with Nike only stating that the True City iPhone Application will “Make the Hidden Visible” in six European cities. As to what this means exactly, we aren’t to sure just yet, but the application is set to release on January 14th, 2010 so further details will be coming soon. Above is a short 15second teaser video Nike Sportswear put together for the app.

Matt from Corporate has updated us all with a nice little video clip showing off the January 2010 Releases from Nike which the shop has just gotten in. Displayed in the video are numerous models such as the Jordan Flight 45 High Black, the Jordan CP3.III, the Futura x Nike Dunk High, a simple yet fresh pair of black Blazers, the Nike Royal Mid in the wine colorway which happens to be a Quickstrike release and a few other releases thrown in there as well. Going strong with the viral campaign for the upcoming Equation adidas Basketball has released this new video featuring Kevin Garnett titled “Got to have the Equations”. The other day when we took our first look at three colors of the adidas Equation designed for Keven Garnett, Derrik Rose and Dwight Howard, along with a look at another video for the Equation featuring both KG and D-Rose.

Kim D, one of the illest female lyricists, and a huge sneaker fanatic with a mighty impressive collection, has blessed us all with a new track off her upcoming mixtape. Seeing as how the Space Jams just released, theres no better time to drop this track titled “Jordan Fanatic” which has Kim D spittin over the “Nike Boots” beat. The only issue i have with this track is that i wish it was longer!! Kim rips it real nice and leaves us wanting more.

Nike Sportswear x Eddie Cruz: Nike Air Force 1 Hi Supreme ‘West’ Interview

Nike Sportswear sat down with Eddie Cruz, co-owner of one of California’s premier boutiques, Undefeated, to talk a little bit about the Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme ‘West’ which Eddie designed as part of the East vs West Rivalry Pack. The short video which is less then 2mins long has Eddie telling us about how he was approached to take part in the series and what he does as a stylist to get inspiration for designs. Believe it or not, the Air Force 1 Hi Supreme ‘West’, which is available in stores now, actually takes some ques from womens high fashion with the use of grey python embossed suede. Who would of thought.
