Mastodon x Vans Summer 2009 Collection
KISS and Bad Brains have both had very successful releases invovling their collaborations with Vans and now its time for Mastodon, a heavy metal band from Atlanta to get their very own collection.
The Mastodon x Vans collection will feature a lineup of sneakers, some tees and a limited vinyl edition of Crack The Skye. The shoes in the collection consist of two pairs of Sk8-Hi’s and two pairs of Slip-Ons. One of the Sk8-Hi’s and one of the Slip-Ons sport the album artwork of Blood Mountain, while the other Sk8-Hi & Slip-On contain some artwork from Crack the Skye. All four of the sneakers will be released officially on July 6th, 2009 and if your interested you can pre-order a pair now at Rhino.
Crooks & Castles x Vans Fremont ‘White’ - June 6th Release
January saw the release of the Crooks & Castles x Vans Fremont Hi in Black and June will see the release of the Fremont Hi in white. When these Gucci-esque sneakers were released earlier in the year in black the Crooks & Castles fans went bananas after a long awaited release and the sneakers instantly sold out in very size available. You can expect just as much insanity when the white colorway debuts at the Crooks 8021 Melrose flagship store on June 6th. The shoe comes with an all white upper, green croc skin material on the heel and a Gucci-esque ankle strap with Crooks printed on it.
Be sure to head over early to the Crooks & Castles flagship store at 8021 Melrose on June 6th to get a spot in line for the official release. Supplies will be limited and they will go quick.
Supreme x Malcolm McLaren x Vans V-79
Malcolm McLaren, a man who many know as the ex-manager of the New York Dolls’ and the founder/manager of the legendary Sex Pistols, has teamed up with Supreme to put together a small collection of products. Besides for the hoodies and tees Malcolm McLaren also designed these Vans V-79 sneakers. Including a total of three different color choices each of the V-79’s use colorups on the exterior which is completely different then their loud and vibrant insoles. The insoles feature original artwork created for Malcolm McLaren by Keith Haring and Dondi White.
Watch for all three of the Vans V-79 sneakers and the rest of the Supreme x Malcolm McLaren collection to release this coming Thursday in-store and online.
Vans Vault ‘Multi-Neon’ Half Cab LX
Spring defiantly brings out the bright colors, as well as other things, but since this is a G rated sneaker site we’ll keep it at that. As part of the Vans Vault Collection comes these ‘Multi-Neon’ Half Cab LX shoes which are covered in some vibrant neon colors. Orange, yellow, blue and a touch of pink were the colors of choice to use for the base which is a combo of premium leather and perforated leather. Pure black wraps up the laces, tongue and inner liner. If your into the whole neon color sneaker thing (i know a lot of people in NYC are) hit up a Vans Vault retailer in-store or online to get a pair of these Half Cabs now.

Vans x Bad Brains Snowboard Boots
Vans and Bad Brains are no strangers to eachother when it comes to collaborations, already having a few collections under their belts. The newest collabo between the two brings up the Vans x Bad Brains Snowboard Boots. This limited edition Vans Encore features album artwork from the groups legendary debut self titled album and rasta-inspired designs and colors. You of course also have the Bad Brains logo included on the boots as well.

Vans ‘Angle Stripe’ Pack
The other day we caught a look at one of the releases in the Vans ‘Angle Stripe’ Pack when we took a look at some of the Vans Spring 2009 Releases. At the time we just had a shot of the Chukka but now we got a look at the whole ‘Angle Stripe’ Pack which includes the Vans Authentic, Chukka and Slip-On. The three models all use a red/white stripe design set on an angle with a blue suede toe and a white mid-sole.
You can get each of the three at select Vans retailers, including Ripe now.
