Supra Skytop II ‘Gradient’ – Fit Pic

Sometimes it can be hard for people to really get a feel of how they’ll like a specific sneaker until they get a chance to see a pair in person, or atleast catch a shot of the sneakers actually being worn by somebody (a.k.a. a “fit pic”). With that being said, and knowing a lot of you are on the fence when it comes to the Supra Skytop 2 we wanted to present to you this photo of none other then Chad Muska rockin out in the Supra Skytop II ‘Gradient’.

I think i personally still prefer the original Skytops but i will have to wait until i can actually get my hands on a pair to try on myself before making a final call. Supra Skytop II ‘Gradient’ – More Pictures

Thanks to Westcoast_D from SupraTalk we have a few more images of the Supra Skytop II ‘Gradient’. As we have come to learn already this very edition of the Supra Skytop II is a limited release produced in a total of 600 pairs, many of which are currently traveling the world on the Supra Skytop II World Tour.

Do their their limited availability, and the fact they are only going to be sold in 10 shops throughout the country, we only thought it was right to bring you a couple more photos of the sneakers since hardly any of us are going to be our hands on a pair unless we scoop em on eBay. I cant particually say i am a big fan of the Skytop II, and i know a lot of you have expressed the same feelings on Twitter, however there is still a great deal of people who are diggin em so for those of you these are for you.

Supra Skytop II – Gold/Black Patent

Supra Footwear is currently gearing up and getting ready to launch their Supra Skytop II World Tour, a tour which will a stop at 10 exclusive boutiques throwing a little release party at each stop and drop a limited number of the Supra Skytop II ‘Gradient’. Due to their limited availability and the fact each pair will be indivually numbered the Gradient Skytop II is sure to be a popular seller among Supra fans, collectors and resellers.

These Gold Supra Skytop II’s though may just have enough of what it takes to become a much hotter item the Gradient model. The upper sports a metallic gold base which is accented by black patent leather and a white vulcanized sole unit. As you all should have come to know by now Supra has a habit of coming through with a few gold versions of some of their staple models, so its actually no surprise to see a gold Skytop II. Majority, if not all of these gold shoes produced by Supra have also been released around the Holiday season, so it may be safe to say we can expect these later this year, possibly alongside the Gold Supra TK Society which for some reason or another magically vanished for the Supra website with no response as to why. The sneakers are a size 7.5 and have MUSKA 002 debossed across the tongue, and details like this lead us to believe this is not a pair of sample and rather a pair of sneaker part of an upcoming limited release.

Supra Skytop II World Tour

A couple weeks ago when we showed you the Supra Skytop II. Unfortunately due to some resources out there, a couple of the details involving the initial release were wrong. We have now learned that this specific colorway of the Supra Skytop II has been dubbed “Gradient” and will be released throughout the world at 10 exclusive boutiques as part of the Supra Skytop II World Tour.

The tour will start in Paris at Colette and end in Atlanta at Wish, with a total of 8 stops inbetween over a two week period. At each location Supra Footwear will release 36 individually numbered pairs of the Supra Skytop II “Gradient”. One thing im not to sure about is that the flyer (pictured after the jump) says 600 pairs each individually numbered with only 36 pairs at each shop. 36 x 10 = 360. Where are the other 240 going? Should be more like 60 at each location if there are 600 pairs.

The Supra Skytop ‘Wheat’, also known as the Timberland Supra Skytop has just been restocked at Karmaloop. These sneakers came out last year in 2008 on Black Friday and were among many of the must haves among Supra Footwear collectors. The upper features a tan/wheat color slightly accented with black around the ankle. The gum-sole also have black accents in the form of pinstripe detailing.

Supra Skytop II – Colette Exclusive

Here we go ladies and gentlemen, pictures of something a lot of you have been waiting a very long time for, the Supra Skytop II. If you recall back in July we caught a preview of a Red Leather Supra Skytop II sample. The style remains the same, however the colorup is completely different, and a lot more appealing if you ask me. The sneakers sport a color combo of grey and black on the upper with red on the inner lining, which i happen to think looks better then sample pair we previously saw and the blurred out version Ben Baller showed us all.

This specific colorway of the Supra Skytop II will officially be releasing at Colette in France on November 21st, 2009. The sneakers will be limited to a total of 600 pairs which each pair individually numbered. Chad Mushka will also be on deck to meet, greet and sign your sneakers or whatever you want.

Pete Wentz x Supra Vaider

Pete Wentz, 1/4th of Fall Out Boy is no doubt a big Supra Footwear fan and supporter. Pete is constantly being seen on the streets or on stage wearing Supra’s. Some of you may even recall the Supra Vaiders designed for Pete Wentz’s 29th Birthday. Only 29 pairs of those were produced with them going to friends and Pete. The Pete Wentz x Supra Vaider consists of a entirely acid-washed black suede upper with just a dab of black patent leather on the upper part of the lace panels. Accents of red slightly light the upper and the white vulcanized sole unit feature black pinstripe detailing.

Supra TK Society – Gold/Silver

Paying homage to the Gold/Silver Supra Skytops released in Japan back in ‘07 Supra Footwear has put together this new colorway of the Supra TK Society using the original colorway. Details about the release are very slim at this time and we honestly think Supra is trying to withhold some info from us for a little while. The pictures originally appeared when photos of the Holiday 2009 TK Society models were posted on the Supra website and within a day or two the photos were removed and readers were left asking “what happened to the gold/silver TK Society?” without any response as to why it was suddenly removed.

After that a lot of people started speculating that the sneakers could be planned for some sort of special release later this year and that Supra Footwear is maybe tryin to keep the info under wraps. If your a Supra fan, and have followed your Supra releases over the years, you will probably be familiar with how Supra usually releases a limited edition gold sneaker sometime in early December. This gold/silver TK Society may be just that.

X-Games Supra TK Society Versions – Release Details

When pictures of the two X-Games Supra TK Society surfaced, one in black/green and another in black/pink, the sneakers were never expected to be released to the public and were only intended to be exclusive colorways for Terry Kennedy to rock during the X-Games. However, Angel, Terry, and the guys at Supra have changed their minds and have decided to produce a limited run of each of the two colorways. No official release date are being announced just yet but Supra has reported that the sneakers will release sometime in late November with both colorways being limited to 600 pairs each.

Supra Sktop – Purple Suede/Patent

Yesterday we showed you the Red Canvas Supra Vaider, one of the Vaiders set to release as part of the Supra Footwear Spring/Summer 2010 Collection and today we follow up with a look at two Skytops part of the Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. One of the two Skytops shown here has previously been released and will be reissued coming this Spring. For those not in the know, those would be the Black Suede/Black Croc Skytops shown on the left. The purple Skytops shown on the right are a new design which features patent leather and perforated suede on the 100% purple upper. The sole unit, as on most Supra’s is white with pinstripe detailing in purple to match the upper.

No official release date has been announced at this time for either of the two Skytops so make sure you keep it locked for further information.
