Journey’s is hardly considered a go-to spot for the newest kicks, but every once in awhile the retailer gets its hands on an exclusive release you won’t find anywhere else. Such is the case with this new colorway of the Supra Skytop II. Featuring a grey upper with red accents and a white vulcanized sole, this particular color variation of the Skytop II will be made available in February exclusively through Journeys. If you’re interested, you can pre-order a pair now on the Journey’s website for $140.

Supra Footwear has put together a special makeup of the Vaider to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr.’s upcoming birthday. The Supra Vaider “MLK” features a black TUF upper with hints of gold accenting the branding, eyelets, and the back of the tongue. The color palette, if you don’t already know, is a direct reference to King’s days as a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity at Cornell, and is a common color scheme used in his honor. Just Blaze, the hip hop producer extraordinaire who’s worked alongside the likes of Jay-Z and Eminem, has teamed up with Supra Footwear to try his hand at producing something other then music. Working with the Skytop II, Just Blaze put his own signature spin on Chad Muska’s signature skate shoes, applying a grey and purple color scheme throughout a reflective upper and resting it on a white sole with purple pinstriping. A limited release of 413 pairs is scheduled for January 7th, 2012 through select Supra distributors. As an added bonus, consumers in NY will receive a special invite with their purchase to a VIP event hosted by Just Blaze later that night. Supra “Corona Cuttler”

Nike SB isn’t the only one making shoes inspired by its favorite alcoholic beverages. The other night, Supra Footwear joined Corona in hosting a special event at LIV Nightclub in South Beach to kickoff Art Basel, the world’s premier international art show for modern and contemporary works, where they introduced the “Corona Cuttler”. Constructed of a white canvas-like SUPRATUF material, the sneakers feature blue and gold highlights throughout to resemble the signature colors of Corona Extra. Additional details include a graphic of a Corona Extra bottle under a translucent outsole and a patch of a Corona cap stitched on the inside of the tongue. The coolest thing though may just be the lime wedge hang tag, which doubles as a bottle opener. Unfortunately, for Supra fans and sneaker collectors alike, the sneakers were doled out at the event to friends and family and will not be released to the public. Supra Footwear adds yet another sneaker pack to its already extensive offering this season with the release of what’s known as the “Wet Pack”. The pack is comprised of the Society, Skytop and Dixon, each featuring a water-repealing neoprene TUF upper in charcoal grey over a white sole. Black attends to the soft visa terry lining and purple accents the branding and the eyelets. Nike may have come up with the idea of releasing sneaker packs years ago, but Supra Footwear owns it this year. The skate-driven brand has provided the market with a swarm of sneaker packs for the Fall season, including the “Suit Pack”, “Winter Pack” and “Commemorative Pack”, to name just a few. Here we have a look at the newest addition in the form of the “Fiberglass Pack”. The high-top and mid-top Society and the low-top Stacks – the signature sneakers of Terry Kennedy – come together in identical fashion with grey uppers constructed of an extremely durable SUPRATUF material that has fiberglass threads for added strength. White midsoles and black accents on the lining, tongue tag and outsole complete the look for all three. Supra Footwear continues to flood the market with its themed sneaker packs, giving sneakerheads a wide variety of new releases to pick and choose from for the Fall season. Today, the skate-driven brand has released images of another new pack titled the “Denim Pack”. The mini-sneaker collection contains the Dixon, Avenger and Vaider Low, and despite the name, neither of the three are made up of denim. Each sneaker actually features a “screen-printed canvas that appears similar to chambray, but is a stronger, more durable material”, according to Supra. The denim-like material is offset by black accents on the collar, laces and eyelets, and a white midsole. The pack is available now through Supra stockists across the globe, as well as through Suprafootwear.com.

Supra Footwear commemorates the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terror attacks against the US with a special sneaker pack properly titled the “Commemorative Pack”. Two of the company’s tallest silhouettes, the Skytop II and the Society, come together as a way to remember the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center, which once stood at over 1,300 feet tall. Both sneakers contain uppers featuring various shades of solemn with grey nubuck and black kidskin leather accents, along with a never-before-seen, single wrap, white honeycomb foxing, and a grey outsole. Also included are custom insoles which read “Never Forget,” and NYFD inspired hang tags. Limited to 413 pairs, the sneakers are slated to release September 10th, through Supra’s official webstore and a handful of other retailers (listed below). All proceeds raised through the release of the “Commemorative Pack” will be donated to a yet-to-be-named charity.
