Reebok Pump Court Victory “Michael Chang” Retro – 2010 Release

At the ripe age of 17 he became the youngest-ever male player to win a Grand Slam singles title when he won the French Open in 1989. A few years later he went on to achieve himself 3 Indian Wells Masters titles, a record that has yet to be beaten and is tied by Roger Federer. Throughout the 1990’s he remained in the Top 10 of the ATP world rankings, peaking at World No. 2 which is pretty impressive to say the least. With achievements like these it’s no wonder former professional tennis player Michael Chang was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2008.

For years many were amazed by the on-court presence of Michael Chang, slaughtering his opponents with incredible speed and a determination to fight to the end and bring home the win no matter what it took. Could it of had something to do with his sneakers, the Reebok Pump Court Victory? Probably not, but there’s no denying that the shoes which Michael wore on the court made him famous throughout the sneaker industry, a market which he had no intentions of even being involved in. Tennis players, kids who wanted to be like Michael and just your regular ol’ sneakerheads all took a liking to the Court Victory and embraced it as one of the greatest tennis shoes of it’s time.

To our surprise, and appreciation, Reebok will be bring the beloved Pump Court Victory back this year as part of their extensive 20th Anniversary collection. If I’m not mistaken I believe 2008 was the last time we saw the Pump Court Victory released as a retro, in a single colorway. This year Reebok will bring out two colorways of the shoes, both of which use a White leather base with just the right amount of accent coloring. The choices will be White/Green/Neon or White/Blue/Yellow, neither of which I can pick a favorite out of since I find them both very appealing.

They’ve started to arrive at retailers across the pond, such as Snkrs in France, and should hopefully arrive in the US soon. Additional photos can be found by clicking here or following the jump.

Reebok Alien Stomper Fall/Winter 2010

reebok-alien-stomper-fall-winter-2010

Returning in 2010 is the Alien Stomper from Reebok, a shoe originally produced for James Cameron’s 1986 sci- fi action film “Aliens.” Throughout the movie, and the series, Lieutenant Ellen Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver, was seen wearing the sneakers as she took on a terraforming colony of aliens on planetoid LV-426. They may not be guaranteed to help you fight off extraterrestrials as Sigourney did but they sure will add to your level of freshness.

As part of their Fall/Winter Collection Reebok will be releasing two new colorways of the Alien Stomper. You’ll have your choice of Grey/Red or Blue/White, both of which use full-grain leather uppers mixed with perforated leather. The most noticeable feature on the shoe is obviously the large strap across the lace stay which is an original feature for the 1986 model and goes to show you big thick straps are a thing of the past and nothing new to the market. There’s also a smaller strap around the ankle and a icey clear translucent outsole which we believe includes a graphic of a spinal cord on the sole, an element which was used on previous Alien Stomper releases over the years.

No official release date is being posted at this time but thanks to ProviderMag we’re able to give you a look at both colorways expected to release in the near future. The Blue/White model is shown and if you click here you can peep the Grey/Red version.

USLU Airlines x Reebok Courtee Mid – New Pictures

With the release of the USLU Airlines x Reebok Pack nearing we’ve been seeing more and more previews of the two shoes included in the pack. We took a look at the Reebok Retro Pop Mid earlier this month and now we’ve come across some nice shots of the Courtee Mid and it’s glow in the dark details. When the shoes aren’t glowing they feature a tonal White upper constructed from canvas with a White Reebok tongue tag on one sneaker and a White USLU Airlines tag on the other tongue. Slightly visible throughout the upper is a interlocking pattern using the USLU Airlines logo which takes on an eye catching neon green glow at night or in low lit areas and on the heel is a single dot of red which I would imagine has something to do with makeup seeing as how USLU Airlines is a cosmetics company owned by make-up artist Feride Uslu.

We still don’t have an official release date but the Courtee Mid shown here and the Retro Pop Mid we showed you previously should be arriving at select Reebok distributors soon as both are part of the Spring 2010 Collection. Click here to check out plenty of more photos.

Reebok Answer XIII (13) – 2010 NBA All-Star Game

reebok-answer-xiii-13-2010-nba-all-star-game

Next Sunday when the NBA’s elite descend upon Dallas, Texas for the 2010 NBA All-Star Game we’ll see some fresh new faces take to the court for the big game, as well plenty of familiar faces seen battling it out year after year, such as Allen Iverson who will be making and starting in his 11th straight All-Star Game appearance which is a little surprising since he’s been suffering injuries and has only played 18 games this season.

In honor of getting his name on the rooster for the 2010 NBA All-Star Game Reebok has produced this All-Star version of AI’s 13th signature sneaker, the Reebok Answer XIII. Atleast that’s what we’re being told by in52.

To use it seems a little odd that this would be an All-Star Game version seeing as how Iverson plays for the 76ers, an Eastern Conference team. If they are indeed an All-Star Game model the only explanation I can come up with is that Reebok produced these before Iverson was a defiant for the All-Star Game, back when he was still playing for the Memphis Grizzlies, before he signed with the Sixers in December cause it wasn’t until two weeks ago that Iverson was announced as making the Eastern Conference All-Star team. If that’s the case it would make sense since the Grizzlies are part of the Western Conference, otherwise Reebok really messed up here.

Whatever the case may be here they are, the 2010 NBA All-Star Game Edition of the Reebok Answer XIII in a Western Conference color scheme.

Reebok Freestyle Hi “Jungle Series”

reebok-freestyle-high-jungle

It’s been almost three decades since Reebok introduced the Freestyle Hi, a women’s athletic shoe designed for aerobic exercise. When they first hit the scene in 1982 they instantly became a top seller among women and quickly turned into a fashion icon, making up for more then half of Reebok’s sales in the late 80’s. With history like this it’s no wonder the Freestyle Hi is still among one of Reebok’s most desired models in the womens department. Just because you love a classic though ladies doesn’t mean you have to settle on style, which is why Reebok has introduced the Jungle Series, a lineup of Freestyle Hi’s providing bold prints, colors and finishes to help you standout in a crowd.

Shown here are two colorways of the Freestyle Hi Jungle. One features a vibrant color scheme with yellow applied to the leather base, pink and white applied to the mid-sole and some sort of pink and black pattern worked onto the lining and tongue. Black also accents the ankle straps. The other Freestyle Hi sports a dark look with nice secondary color accents. Soft suede is used throughout the black base, a purple and black pattern is applied on the inner lining and tongue, purple is worked onto the mid-sole and teal wraps up the outsole.

If any of our female readers are interested in either of these two Reebok Freestyle Hi Jungle colorways you can pick em up now at DrJays for $75 a pop. A closer look at both follows after the jump.
