Air Jordan 5 Fusion Commerical
Last month Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 5 Fusion in a total of 4 colorways, three for the guys and one for kids. Along with the release of the Air Jordan Fusions these 2 commercials also were released by the company. Event: A Rare Night Out
Rare Air Shoes presents a sneaker event coming soon called “A Rare Night Out”. Melbourne Australias premier online sneaker shop will have a gallery showing of over 200 rare, limited edition and OG sneakers for you to drool over. Among the sneakers on display will be Player Exclusives, Air Jordans, LA Gear, Puma, New Balance and sneakers from just about every other company out there, along with some sports apparel and collectibles. Many of these sneakers will also be on sale so if your an Aussie local be sure to bring you wallet. The event goes down at Lab X starting on Thursday May 8th and runs until the 16th of May. Kicks and Chicks 2008-2009 Calendar
Kicks and Chicks have released their new 2008-2009 sneaker calendar. The calendar is limited to 100 pieces total and they only retail for $14.99 which is pretty cheap. These are obviously for the guys, and maybe some of you ladies too, but if you have a Sneaker Obsession and your into chicks this calendar is what you need. The calendar covers a total of 12 months starting from June 2008 and modles included are Neetue Singh, Jessica Pineda, Stephanie Valenzuela, Emily Garcia and more. Madfoot Summer 2008 Collection
For the Summer of 2008, Japan based company Madfoot has released 4 new sneakers for your pickings. I dont read Japanese but it looks like we have a few pairs for the guys and a few pairs for the ladies. Instead of giving you the rundown on the colorways of 5 different sneakers, just check out the pictures after the jump.
Update: Fake Custom Sneakers
Not to long ago we talked about how fake custom kicks have popped up online which duplicate the work of Sekure D along with a few other sneaker customizers. Sekure D has found out that duplicates of his customs are being mass produced somewhere in the depths of China and distributed through numerous online sites or auctions. Who knows what other artists are being taken of their designs and having fakes made of their work. Its a shame the fake market has to now even effect many popular sneaker customizers. All the artists along with Sneaker Obsession ask all of you to please report any findings of these fake custom sneakers you may come across online. You can report them to use and we will pass the word along to the artists or you can contact the artist directly if you know who it is. As we told you before, go directly to the source for your customs. If not a Sekure D custom unless it comes from the man Sekure D himself, its not a C2 custom unless youve bought it through C2 Customs. You get the picture here. Not only are you buying a design which has been butchered, you are getting it on a fake sneaker as well. Its like 2 fakes in 1. Go for the real deal.
Sneakerfiles in Slam Magazine
A big congratulations to Sneaker Files for grabbing a spot in the June 08′ issue of Slam Magazine. Sneaker Files is featured in the sneakers area of the magazine and the editors of Slam Magazine wrote up a little article about them. It’s nice when you see people on a status level of theirs taken notice of you, the once “small time guy”. Once again congratulations to Sneaker Files, enjoy the feature guys.
