Qustom Queen really is Queen of Customizing
The UK Urban Fashion Awards just went down this past Friday, November 9th. The event recognizes urban fashion designers and gives them a chance to compete for awards as they showcase their designs. On hand at the awards was Qustom Queen who is a 25yr old female sneaker customizer from the UK, Glasgow Scotland to be exact. Thats right, a Scottish babe. Its not just her gorgeous looks that get you, its her keen eye for fashion and eye catching custom sneakers that draw you in. Its not just people like me who recognize this year. This year at the 2007 UK Urban Fashion Awards Qustom Queen was given the award for Best Custom Designer. Thats a huge achievement as many UK urban fashion designers come out to this event. Congratulations to Qustom Queen and keep bring us the heat for our feet.

Shop list updated
I have taken some time to update our directory of sneaker and clothing shops. Many new shops have been added which carry a lot of popular brands. More so clothing retailers rather then sneaker shops. If you arent already aware of it you can find the link to the page with all the shops at anytime by clicking the “Shops” tab located at the top of every page. Take a minute to browse through the list and see if any shops which you may not be familiar with have been added. Also, if you would like to recommend a shop to add to our list please follow the info on the page to do so.
Mos Def Performance at Pipeline Honolulu
For all you guys out in Hawaii you have a nice little event coming tomorrow. November 11th at the Pipeline Cafe the infamous Mos Def will be performing live. This event is sponsored by Dig Lifestyles, ANKH Marketing and Kings Assembly. Doors open at 9pm and its 18 and over so make sure you got your ID at the door. Tickets will be available at the door but this event will sell out so early arrival is suggested. During the Mos Def performance there will a live taping going on for the first ever Mos Def Live In Concert DVD coming out sometime in the future. This is going to a be a hot performance so if your from Hawaii make sure you stop by the Pipeline tomorrow night, November 11th. Remember, dress to impress.
Interview with toy designer MAD
The Pitch, a Kansas based magazine, recently did a 1 on 1 with toy designer MAD. MAD is an internationally known custom toy designer who makes some of the coolest Dunnys around. Recently MAD got together with Kidrobot to come up with the Ninja Dunny which you see in the photo above. Either way, check out The Pitch for the interview.
The Hundreds 2007 Winter Collection
One thing you have to love about the change of the seasons is that many clothing companies are prepared with a new collection to bring in the season. What we have here is a little preview of what The Hundreds have ready for their 2007 Winter Collection. If you have visited The Hundreds website lately you would have noticed a new splash page. The page displays an article of clothing which is part of The Hundreds 2007 Winter Collection, when you refresh the page the image will change at random to another preview of the collection. AT&T Commercial featuring Alife, Motive, Undefeated and Solebox
AT&T has released a new commercial which features some of the more well known sneaker shops around the world. Written by Greg Rogers and directed by Chris Robinson, the commercial finally aired yesterday and has already become a hit among YouTube and the popular sneaker sites. The new AT&T commercial is entitled “Kicks” and in the clip they feature shops Alife, Solebox, Undefeated and Motive 807. The commercial shows a sneaker reseller meeting up with his connections at each of these shops to pick up some kicks to hustle. What may appear is be the actual shop itself is indeed not. AT&T went the extra mile and put a lot of time and dedication into creating their own sets to resemble these shops. AT&T did such a good job that its pretty much an exact replica of what you would see in the actual stores themselves.
