Flight Club Contest Delay
I have gotten abunch of emails from readers who are wondering what happened to the Air Jordan Flight Club contest i talked about last week. The contest has been delayed cause i have had my hands tied up over here. My father has cancer and during a past blood transfusion he managed to get a major infection. So as of right now he is still laid up in the hospital. Between my daily job, making trips to the hospital and tending the the rest of my daily deeds the Flight Club Invite Contest had to be pushed back. Come the end of this weekend or the beginning of next week we will be back on track and the contest will continue. Check back at Sneaker Obsession for updates on the contest. Sorry for the delay.
Flight Club Invites
Ever since Jordan Brand has decided to start Flight Club again the sneakerheads and Jordan groupies have been going nuts. People who were orignally part of Jumpman23 back in the day should of recieved an email giving them an invitation to Flight Club. However, it has been awhile since Jumpman and a lot of users have since changed email addresses so a lot of long time sneakerheads have missed out on the invites. Dont fear, there are plenty of them out there. People are selling invites on Ebay at starting bids of around 10 dollars. That should be pocket change to most, specially those who actually buy Jordans and drop $100+ on them. You can also hit up many of the sneaker sites as there are many people who are giving invites away or running contests to win an invite. Everybody who is invited to Flight Club also gets 2 invitations so they too can invite their friends. Flight Club is going to be releasing a lot of Jordan Brand products online only and only those who are part of Flight Club will have a chance to cop the gear. Unless of course the products dont sell, then im sure you will see them in your local shops. So if your a true sneakerhead or just a Jordan groupie you might want to think about dropping that measly 10 dollars on an invite.
Last day for Become Fitted Contest
Today is your last chance to enter the “Sneakerheads Become Fitted” Contest. All photos must be recieved by Midnight tonight, EST. Any photos which are submitted after that will automatically be deleted without even looking at the pictures. Dont delay on getting your entires in. You have the whole day to get it done. Adidas Group Buys Mitchell and Ness
Adidas Group, the parent company for Adidas, Reebok and TaylorMade-Adidas Golf has purchased Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co., a company well known for their authentic throwback jerseys and jackets. As well as other nostalgic athletic apparel. There was no word on how much Adidas actually bought Mitchell & Ness for but one would imagine it was not cheap at all. If i had to throw a random number out there myself i would have to say it sold for around 50 million dollars. Just a guess. Mitchell & Ness currently holds licenses with the NBA, NFL, NHL and the MLB to reproduce vintage style authentic athletic apparel. Mitchell & Ness also makes jerseys for arena football for such teams as the Philadelphia Soul. Will we maybe see Mitchell & Ness now make its way into the MLS, Major League Soccer, now that Adidas Group has gotten a hold of the company?
