‘Deep Plum Concrete’ Puma Clydes
So its been a little while since we have seen much from Rob L and his custom Puma sneakers but apparently hes whipped up some things in the past few months which he will show off in the next few weeks. Until then we have this pair of custom Puma Clydes which Rob has dubbed ‘Deep Plum Concrete’. These Puma Clydes started as a pair of limited edition Easter Clydes from 2006. Some would think its crazy to mess around with a pair of sneakers that are limited to begin with, but on the other hand some may look at this as making a limited edition even more exclusive. Rob says the combination of a smooth concrete paint design matched with a set of deep plum laces and formstripes makes this pair of custom sneakers one of his favorite so far. Rob puts a lot of work into his customs and it defiantly pays off. Just going around that gold Puma/Clyde logo take enough time itself. What Rob does to get that done is use a fine brush and very carefully paints around the letters, then he takes a little bit of watered down paint to get a clean finish. He then uses a toothpick and some masking fluid to cover the letters and then goes at it with his design. After everything is said and done and the paint has tried, Rob just rubs that masking fluid off and its look good as new. Puma Hooper Mid Decades
Two new Puma Hooper Mid Decades have recently hit Puma distributors all over the place. The two new colorways include a black pair which uses the colors purple, white and blue. The second colorway is a white pair which if you ask me is a total switch from the black pair. Whereas the black pair is covered in vibrant colors and a flashy design the Puma Hooper Mid Decades in the white colorway are more sort of laid back with their smooth colors. The white Puma Hooper Mid Decade, which you can find pictures of after the jump includes the colors green and blue besides just white. Clothes Off Our Back Celebrity Auction
Now through March 12th Clothes Off Our Back is having an auction to raise money for childrens charities. Their are many celebrity related items up for auction but what caught our attention here the most at Sneaker Obsession is the fact they have custom designed Pumas which were designed by celberties. These celebrities include Lloyd Banks, Emily Blunt, Brittany Murphy, Billy Morrison and others. The Puma Mongolian BBQ sneakers were custom designed by each celebrity during the Sundance Film Festival “House of Hype” and they each donated them (their idea) to support Clothes Off Our Back and childrends charities. The auction winner gets the size of their choice and the custom sneaker will be made after the auction ends. All proceeds from the auction will go towards Americas Second Harvest, The Art of Elysium, World Education and autism research. Puma Sky 2 St. Pattys Day
St. Patricks Day will be upon us soon and to celebrate Puma has released a St. Pattys Day sneaker. The model of choice was a Puma Sky 2 which the company has done up in a green, cold and white colorway. The strap is kind of cool on these, the front of the strap says Sky II and on the back theres a laser etched pot of gold, which is of course done in gold. On the back heel of these sneakers Puma has included an embroidered clover to go along with the St. Pattys Day theme and on the tongue theres a gold etched clover. We cant say these will bring you luck but we can agree that these are a nice pair of St. Patricks Day sneakers which would make a nice piece to add to the collection for all you Irish folks like myself. Paradise Pumas by Qustom Queen
Heres some new hot custom sneakers by Qustom Queen. Literally, these things are hot, you can just feel the warmth coming off that sun haha. Nah, but seriously. This time around we have a pair of Puma sneakers which The Queen has dubbed the “Paradise Pumas”. The customer who placed the order said she wanted something with a tropical vibe to it, along with the green and yellow Jamaican flag incorporated into the sneakers somewhere. Qustom Queen was going through some photos gathering some ideas and she came across a lovely beach setting with a nice sunset. After some brainstorming and getting her colors together, The Queen laid out a design which sure does give off that warm tropical beach vibe. The Jamaican flag was added to the back of the sneakers and Qustom Queen left her tag on the heel to finish things up. These custom sneakers make me wanna take my vacation, jump on a plane and hit up one of the islands just to sit back and max out in a lounge chair. To bad thats not gonna happen. A nice cold day in NY is calling my name. Nice job Queen, keep it up.
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Puma Clyde Pack
We just showed you the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air First Round Pack by Puma and now heres the Clyde Pack. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Puma Clyde Pack takes a different approach to the Fresh Prince era. Instead of something flashy in bright colors, Puma and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air went with a more classy sort of feel. While still maintaining that Fresh look. These sneakers include the use of Italian style croc-skin leather and gold highlights throughout. Instead of the neon green watch as in the First Round Pack you get a gold Forcer watch with these. The tongue of these sneakers have an elegant looking patch in gold that says The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and on the side of the sneakers towards the back it says Bel-Air.
