Pastry Glam Pie Vulcanized “Croc Pack”

Pastry Footwear gives its flagship model a new platform to walk on. Vanessa and Angela Simmons, the daughters of hip-hop legend Rev. Run, have taken the Pastry Glam Pie and updated it with a vulcanized sole, making the shoes much tougher and more resilient. Showcased below is the Pastry Glam Pie Vulcanized “Croc Pack” containing two colorways of the women’s high-top with an exotic twist. The sneakers, available in Black/Red and Black/White-Teal, feature perforated leather uppers with patent crocodile leather on the midfoot and around the ankle. In addition to the vulcanized sole, the sneakers are branded with new Pastry logo’s, which are visible on the tongue and heel. Ladies who are interested can find them now at most Pastry Footwear distributors, such as Finish Line.

Continuing to expand their range of womens footwear, Angela and Vanessa Simmons have created a brand new high-top silhouette under their Pastry brand name that’s sure to attraction the attention of our female readers. Known as the Pop Tart, the high-top sneakers sport a sleek, minimalistic design which is one of the cleanest we’ve seen thus far from the brand. Premium leathers are used to build most of the five color options of the Pop Tart currently available, with nylon used to construct two of the flashier versions in Platinum and Plum Sauce. If you can dig it ladies, all of them are available now through Pastry’s official webstore for $60 a piece.

Pastry Solar Tart “Tutti Frutti”

As we mentioned earlier when giving you a look at the Pastry Truffle Jogger, the Box of Chocolates Collection from Pastry is finally starting to arrive at retailers. Alongside the aforementioned running shoes, Pastry also produced the Solar Tart, a dance shoe to keep you fun, fit and fly. Whether you dance around your house in your PJ’s or you take your routines seriously in dance class, the Pastry Solar Tart is sure to keep you stylish while you bust-a-move. Keeping with the unique names Pastry has become known for, they’ve dubbed this first release of the Solar Tart as the “Tutti Frutti” version. The solid grey base is slight accented by hits of yellow on the lining, contrast stitching along the heel and on a few of the eyelets, while a dose of pink brightens up the sole unit and the heel spine.

This is only the beginning of things to come for the Solar Tart as Pastry’s expected to release more color options in the future. If you’re diggin the style and the color blocking on these, you can pre-order yourself a pair now through Finish Line in sizes 6.5 through 10. Just like the Truffle Jogger, the shoes are expected to be shipped later this month.

Pastry Truffle Jogger

Earlier in the year at the MAGIC tradeshow in Las Vegas, Angela and Vanessa Simmon’s, the lovelies behind Pastry Shoes, introduced a new athletic line of footwear known as the Box of Chocolates collection, or BOC for short. After a few months of waiting, the Box of Chocolates collection has started to make it’s way to Pastry retailers. One of the two sneakers included in the collection is the Pastry Truffle Jogger shown here. This lightweight runner is intended for the ladies looking to shed some calories after indulging in a guilty pleasure, such as eating an entire box of chocolates, featuring an air sole to provide a cushy ride while running the tread mill, climbing the stair climber or just hittin the streets for a casual jog. Across the tongue and on the back of the heel you’ll notice the new Pastry logo developed specifically for the new line.

Finish Line is taking pre-orders on the Pastry Truffle Jogger now in women’s sizes 6.5 through 10, with shipment expected in late July.

Pastry Pop Tart

Big things are in the works for Pastry Shoes, the brand created by Angela and Vanessa Simmons. We last saw the two lovely ladies at MAGIC yucking it up with Boss Lady about Box of Chocolates Collection which should be releasing in the near future.

Until then though Pastry has a little something else for the ladies out there, the first release from their upgraded footwear line which takes a much more casual approach in terms of color choices compared to previous releases which consisted of vibrant color palettes. The pastry-like names remain however, since that’s what the brand has been built around with this newest model called the Pop Tart.

To debut the sneakers Pastry is offering the ladies with three color options to pick from, Platinum, Ultra Violet and Plum Sauce. Each of the three feature a canvas and nylon construction with a vulcanized sole unit and Pastry detailing on the tongue. All three are available now in womens sizes 6-10 through Finish Line for a price of $60.

Creators of the Pastry brand, the Simmons sisters Angela and Vanessa, were recently in attendance at MAGIC, in Las Vegas, to promote their sweet new collection entitled “Box Of Chocolates”. Within an event full of the industry’s heavyweights the two sisters put their heads together and came up with a solid idea which would help put the spotlight on their collection. The lovely ladies took to a makeshift stage to introduce themselves, the Pastry brand and give mention of the fact they have some new exciting things coming this year, including the “Box Of Chocolates” Collection, also known simply as the B.O.C.. A dance crew was then brought up onto the stage to introduce the “Dance Shoe” while putting on a cute little dance routine. After that Boss Lady from DrJaysLive had the opportunity to sit down with the ladies for a quick Q&A about the sneakers giving us a few more details as to what to expect from the collection while also giving us a preview of the lineup.

Pastry Sugar Pies

The latest offering from Pastry Shoes comes in the form of this high top design known as the Sugar Pies. The sneakers feature a lace-up and velcro closure with patent and metallic trims on panels in a pink, silver, white and black color scheme. Pastry is printed across the tongue in what appears to be metallic silver metal letters and the liner lining is made up on nylon in a multi-colored design. Straight across the laces is a black patent leather strap which says Pastry on it and rhinestones have been implanted on soles.

Strictly for the ladies Pastry Shoes comes through with a fresh new silhouette for the Spring/Summer of 2009 known as the Secret Sundae Hi. The Pastry Secret Sundae features bold colors and designs on a smooth leather upper. Pastry branding comes in on the heel, button on the side of the upper and on the tongue tag. Theres also a little Pastry branding on the sole which has designs of Sundaes. Bright laces are the added cherry on this sundae! Two color schemes are available for your choice, Strawberry Banana and Berry Smooth.

Pastry Fab Cookie Zipper

The Pastry Fab Cookie Zipper which we first caught a look at during the preview of the Pastry Spring/Summer 2009 Collection has just recently landed at retailers. Pastry used their popular Fab Cookie silhouette and added to it a zipper which zips straight up the center of the tongue. To debut the launch of the newly designed Fab Cookie Pastry created two colorways to set things off, black/light copper & pink/purple.

If your interested in these you better move quick ladies cause as you may already know Pastry shoes dont last all that long on the shelves or online at retailers. You can however get them now while supplies last at FinishLine for $69.99 a pop.

Pastry Glam Pie Hi ‘Igniters’

With all the talk about Air Jordan, Nike SB and Retro releases dropping in 2009 we’re making sure not to leave the ladies out with the updates on Pastry Shoes. If you happen to watch Daddys Girls on MTV (I admit it, i do) youll know that Angela and Vanessa Simmons have been working on their Pastry line and marketing it. The two ladies have been going strong for awhile now and have themselves a company which now includes not just sneakers but a whole clothing and bag collection for the ladies.

One of the newest releases to come from Pastry, footwear wise, is the Glam Pie Hi ‘Igniters’. The upper of the Igniters Glam Pie Hi uses a multi-color design which has metallic purple panels with diamond shapped cutouts, premium purple leather and orange croc material. White patent leather is used on the top flap of the tongue with the script Pastry logo in aqua to match the laces and outsole. The Pastry Shoes Glam Pie Hi ‘Igniters’ also includes a rhinestone embellished “Glam” lace lock set and engraved pie designs on the tread.
