atmos-clarks-wallabees-plaid-wool-pack

Starting off the year with a fresh collabo Atmos reached out to Clarks to put together a pack of Wallabee boots known as the Plaid Wool Pack. The two-pack of Wallabee’s consists of a red/black model and a green/black model which both feature a premium black suede one piece tongue & toe-box with plaid wool uppers mounted on the classic crepe sole.  The lining on both is constructed of fine leather with a suede heel grip.  Bright color-popped footbeds, five-point star brass eyelets and contrast stitching provide attention to detail and give a strong sense of distinction.  The sneakers are highly limited and only available at a handful of distributors around the globe, with Hanon being the only spot in Europe to get em.

Polka Dots for some reason or another are a popular design when it comes to footwear in Japan. We saw numerous sneakers released in 2009 with polka dots and now we have a look at what we suspect to be the first pair of polka dot designed sneakers released in 2010.

When it comes to collaborations Hikmet and his Solebox boutique are defiantly on top of their game. Along with atmos, Solebox is one of the leaders in the industry when it comes to the number of collaborations under their belt. Not all that long ago Hikmet released photos of a project he’s working on with Saucony on the Shadow 90 and A3 models, and now he’s released a preview of another collaboration Solebox is working on, this time on a model which is not recognizable to us. As we can clearly see though the version shown here, which is one of two colorways set to release, uses a black base with accents of teal on an upper constructed from the finest in premium materials. Hikmet is hesitant to release to many details at this time but he has gone on to inform us that the shoes are entirely hand-made and are scheduled to release in February 2010.

Stay tuned for further details on this upcoming collaboration from Solebox as we work our way into 2010 and near closer to the official release date. Via: Hypebeast

ato Cowhide Boot ‘Studs’

ato-cowhide-boot-studs

Studs on sneakers just never really worked for my personal taste. Actually, they never really worked on much of anything for guys in my opinion. This is cause i’m not into that whole old-school punk rock look with the studded boots and belts and jackets and the whole 9. For those of you who are though companies such as Nike have tried to cater to your taste with designs featuring the use of studs and now ato Matsumoto gives us their own spin on a studded model with the release of this new ato cowhide boot. The shoes, boots, or whatever you wanna call them feature a completely black upper with with round studs around the toe and on the tongue, and square studs on the straps and around the heel.

Select Japanese retailers such as Rowgage have the studded ato Cowhide boots in stock now. A closer look can be found by following the jump.

Pony UL38 ‘Wilson Chandler’ – Home & Away Versions

wilson-chandler-pony-ul38

Wilson Chandler, the #21 forward who was drafted in the first round by the NY Knicks in 2007 may not be having the best year on the court right now with a PPG of 13.1 but the 22 year old, 6′8 forward has done enough since his introduction into the NBA to catch the attention of Pony and get him his own signature sneakers.

For those of you familiar with Chandler you may have noticed the Pony UL38 on his feet before in games, or possibly recall seeming them on his feet during the 2009 NBA All-Star Game. Thanks to Dan, who has provided us with these pictures of wear test samples, one of which happens to be signed, we can now give you some detailed shots of both the home and away versions of Wilson Chandler’s signature Pony UL38 sneakers. Both of the colorways are pretty fresh and as a shoe made with basketball as it’s focus i can defiantly respect the UL38. Now i just need to get my hands on a pair to try on and see how the fit feels. Size 13 please.
