AND1 Advantage Mid
Every now and again AND1 comes with with a new model to drop on the footwear industry. We arent really sure if they are making any impact or not with the release but the fact they are trying is something we can respect. This evening we present to you the Advantage Mid, the newest design to be added to the AND1 lineup.
Seen here is three colorups of the AND1 Advantage Mid. Each of the three colorways use an upper constructed from a combo of synthetic leather and perforated leather with an AND1 logo on the side. Adding to the perforated design, which just seems to be oddly overdone for some reason, is a little bit of mesh on the tongue. Im not really sure where there is even an AND1 retailer anymore but im pretty sure not to many of you even really care.

Jason Kidd x Peak Sneakers – 4 Colorways
As by now most of you should be aware of the fact that Jason Kidd left his endorsement with Nike and signed a deal with the footwear company Peak. When the deal was signed and the news broke many of us were shocked that Kidd was leaving Nike after all these years and going to a company such a Peak, a company which creates sneakers which are ripoffs of other popular models. After spotting the Peak sneakers on Kidd in a few games here and there we have now obtained some detailed photos of four colorways thanks to FatBoyKickz. In my opinion the only interesting details on the sneakers is the tongue tag which has Kidd, 1994 and 2 printed on it to resemble the 1994 NBA Draft when Jason Kidd was picked in the second round. Even that though is poorly laid out if you ask me. I feel Kidd really made a mistake going to Peak, i sure as hell hope the money offered was a lot more cause a pair of hurt looking sneakers like this endorsed by you can sure bring a bad image to your name in the sneaker industry.
Im not really all to sure on where the Peak sneakers are sold, but im pretty sure there arent to many who are looking anyway. After the jump to you can plenty more detailed pictures as well as some shots of the other colorways.
Airwalk Prototype 540
During the SXSW festival a few weeks ago in Austin, TX Airwalk brought out a few pairs of a new colorup of the classic Prototype 540, a model originally introduced by Airwalk in the early 90s. This pair features all the same key elements the 540s debuted with, such as the large velcro lace panel across the tongue with was a big success during its era due to the fact it protected the laces during those rough skate sessions.
Compared to a white/red pair of the Airwalk Protoype 540 we saw in the past this pair has a much more darker design which includes an all black upper slightly accented with white and a splash of purple. Old school skateboarders who use to rock the 540s back in the day will defiantly appreciate these. Hit up your local Airwalk retailer now to check on availability of the Airwalk Prototype 540 retro.

Gourmet has just launched their brand new website which even includes an online shop full of Gourmet products. Lakai x ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ Series
Later this year, after numerous setbacks, the Spike Jonze’s ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ movie will finally hit the big screen. This remake of the classic childrens book written by Maurice Sendak has a lot of people quite excited for its release, which were are now being told will be October 18th, 2009.
In honor of the movie which is sure to attract a lot of attention and pull in big numbers upon its release Lakai has gotten together with Spike Jonze and Warner Bros. to put together the ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ Series. This limited edition series consists of four Lakai models, the Howard Select, Mariano2, MJ3 and Telford. Two of the four release feature the faces of two of the monsters from Where The Wild Things Are with the movies title printed on the mid-sole. The other two have ‘Where The Wild Things Are’ printed on the side of the heel. All four have tongue tags which feature a silloutte of one of the monsters with the movie title printed within it.
