Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Slip-On

Using the most iconic model in Onitsuka’s archive, Asics introduces a lace-less, slip-on version of the Mexico 66, a sneaker first released in 1966. The Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Slip-On has the same timeless look as the original model, but lacks the need for laces thanks to a hidden elastic band that holds the tongue in place, allowing you to easily and quickly slid the sneakers on and off without the hassle of lacing up. Weighing in at 9 ounces – an ounce less than the lace-up model – the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Slip-On features a durable canvas upper with leather stripes, suede trim on the toe and heel, and a low-profile EVA midsole. For the debut, Asics launched four colorways for the guys: Birch/Navy, Grey/White, Navy/White and Red/White, each of which is widely available at Asics distributors including Zappos.

KangaROOS Skywalker 3 – Black/Green

Glide like Clyde in the KangaROOS Skywalker 3. Clyde Drexler’s former signature basketball sneaker from the early 80′s reappears at retailers in a new colorway for the Fall season. Sporting a black leather base with perforated detailing on the toe-box, mid-panel and ankle, the sneakers feature white contrast stitching throughout, which is complemented by a white midsole and white leather heel tag. Neon green highlights the branding, outsole, ankle strap and the tongue trim, providing plenty of pop against the dark-colored base. Previously, the KangaROOS Skywalker 3 releases have been limited in numbers. There’s no indication that being the case with this pair, but it’s best not to sleep on them regardless if you like what you see. Find them now at select KangaROOS retailers such as Overkill.

New Radii Footwear Releases Available @ DrJays

Urban fashion retailer DrJays has just received a slew of new releases from Radii Footwear. Sixteen sneakers in all have just been made available on the company’s webstore. That number breaks down to 12 new colorways of the Straight Jacket and 4 new colorways of the Noble, which includes the “Back to the Future” Noble we previewed a few months ago. Aside from the aforementioned model, other standouts include the “P.O.W. Pack” featuring camo-clad and army green colorways of the Straight Jacket, and a blood-splattered Straight Jacket designed in collaboration with celebrity photographer Tyler Shields.

Curren$y x Diamond Supply Co. Footwear Collection

Diamond Supply Co. has some interesting collaborations scheduled to release next year under its in-house footwear label. We caught wind last month of a project involving Kanye’s fashion consultant, Ibn Jasper, and now we’ve learned that Curren$y was also tapped for a co-branded release. Captured in photos at the Agenda Trade Show by HighSnobiety, the Curren$y x Diamond Supply Co. Footwear Collection includes a high and low-top silhouette, each of which is shown in two colorways with graphics of marijuana leaves mixed with diamonds throughout the upper. The sneakers are expected to become available sometime next spring.

K-Swiss Botwin

K-Swiss isn’t a brand you see much of on Sneaker Obsession, unless it involves a collaboration with UNDFTD or a photo shoot with the company’s super hot spokeswoman, Anna Kournikova. We feel the K-Swiss Botwin deserves a little attention though. The clean lines of this low-profile jogging shoe make for a sleek look that’s just as fashionable as any old-school adidas shoe. Comfort comes by the way of a molded removable insole and a EVA midsole, while a rubber lug sole gives you traction. Shown here are basic white and black color offerings of the K-Swiss Botwin that are available now in women’s sizes through Finish Line. The sneakers are available for men as well, they just don’t have to be available at Finish Line. A quick search should find you a pair if you’re interested.

JASPER x Diamond Supply Co. Chukka

Ibn Jasper looks to expand his brand in an upcoming collaboration with Diamond Supply Co. Jasper – a personal image consultant for big name Hollywood stars including Kanye West – teamed up with Nicky Diamond’s to work on the Diamond Supply Co. Chukka. As you can see, the shoes feature a tonal blue upper with frills on the foot, complimented with waxed laces to match. Few details are available at this time about the release, but Ibn Jasper mentions that the capsule collection will be coming soon. We’re eager to see what else Mr. West’s stylist came up with. Stay tuned for further details.

Keds Women’s Champion “Animal Pack”

Originally introduced in 1916, the Keds Champion is one of the oldest sneakers still in rotation today. At almost a century old, the Champion is still in popular demand for its clean lines, casual look and nostalgic value.

Available now at select Keds retailers including Finish Line is the Women’s Champion “Animal Pack”. This two-pack includes Zebra and Leopard-print styles of the Champion to help the ladies get in touch with their wild side. Both are constructed from breathable canvas with leather trim and a soft terry cotton lining. A plain white sole rounds out both pairs.

Diamond Supply Co. VVS

With the launch of Diamond Supply Co.’s DVS-produced footwear line approaching, Nicky Diamonds feeds us a preview of a model known as the VVS. If you recall, this silhouette was originally spotted back in January when several of the brand’s footwear model’s we’re showcased at Agenda in tonal colorways of black, white and red. The white pair shown here differs from the white pair shown then, with these featuring accents of Mocha on the tongue tag and behind the ankle wing as opposed to the solid white finish on the other pair. As to which of the two will hit retailers, we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out when Diamond Supply Co. debuts it’s long-awaited footwear series this summer.

Video: HUF Hupper 420 Pack

HUF presents a video promo for tomorrows release of the Hupper 420 Pack. Celebrating what’s considered to be biggest unofficial holiday, the Hupper 420 Pack contains a green canvas and suede-based Hupper sneaker with Plantlife graphics printed throughout the upper and three pairs of Plantlife socks. Plantlife is HUF’s range of products containing graphics of marijuana leaves. It’s appear on their shirts, hats, socks and now, a sneaker. This video gives us another glimpse of the sneakers before tomorrows release, which is set to go down through select HUF distributors worldwide. The release will be limited to a total of 420 pairs.
