Nike Vandal ‘Red Bombed’ Customs

Jester from 3R Customs always amazes me with comes to his abilities of customizing sneakers. One of his latest projects which he just finished for a customer are known as the Red Bombed Nike Vandals which are an alternate colorwray to the Blue Bombed Vandal Highs Jester did a couple years back. The detailing put into the sneakers is beyond belief and the way the zig zag patterns (made to look like bomb explosions) pop out at you and give the sneakers a 3D effect is something to defiantly appreciate. Jesters efforts and attention to detail is always shown in every custom with either clean lines, smooth graphics or truly unique designs.

Nike Vandal Low NYC Tribute – ‘Catch a Cab’

nike-vandal-low-catch-a-cab-nyc-tribute

Being a NY native i got lot of love for those House of Hoops releases which pay tribute to NYC with some sort of special design, such as this new Nike Vandal Low. Known as the ‘Catch a Cab’ this Nike Vandal pays tribute to something which you possibly cant miss in NYC, yellow taxi cabs. If you remember, there was also a Nike Zoom LeBron 6 ‘Taxi’ which also used a theme inspired by taxis.

The Nike Vandal Low ‘Catch a Cab’ features a white upper with a yellow patent leather Nike swoosh, yellow shoelaces and a yellow outsole. The toe-box makes uses of yellow as well in the form of little dots. A black and white checkered pattern which NYC cabs were once infamous for are bordering between the upper panels. Taking things a few steps further into the Catch a Cab thing is a tongue tag which has an On/Off Duty design along with a pair of insoles which show the cab fare. The key elements such as the checkers, the cab fare image and the On/Off Duty design makes this Nike Vandal Low ‘Catch a Cab’ an extremely well representation of NYC cabs.

Watch for this Nike Vandal to release exclusive at House of Hoops on June 19th, 2009. Follow the jump for more detailed photos. Via: FootLocker

Nike Vandal Hi Leather – Black / Red

I cant say im personally a big fan of the Nike Vandal, but im digging the colorway Nike has put together for one of the newest Vandal releases. This leather Nike Vandal Hi sports a black upper with white around the toe-box and lace panel, and on the mid-sole. To match up with the outsole a red patent leather was stitched up for the Nike Swoosh. The black with the white outlines defiantly makes these Vandals pop.
