Nike SB ‘Space Tiger’ Dunks

Heres a look at a new Nike SB Dunk known as the “Space Tiger”. The Space Tigers are inspired by a skateboard deck designed by Randy Colvin for the company World Industries. Taking all the key elements from the original skate deck design Nike SB covered the side panels, toe box with a starscape design and then added an orange and black tiger pattern to the heel tab, tongue and insoles. The sole is neon green and the Nike Swoosh is gold, which in my personal opinion doesnt fit the bill and looks out of place. There has been no mention at this time of an official release date so check back later for updates. More detailed shots are after the jump, including a picture of the World Industries Space Tiger skate deck. Via: Solefresh
Nike SB Dunk vs Nike Dunk – Ninja Turtle Customs
My jaw literally dropped when i saw these new custom sneakers by Thirst Customs. Thirst took a Nike SB Dunk and a regular ol’ Dunk to create 2 custom Ninja Turtle sneakers. The pair of SB Dunks are inspired by Donatello while the regular Dunk is molded after Leonardo. I cant even go into detail here, there is just so much going on that i dont even know where to begin. Both designs are sick and id have to say out of the 2 the SB Dunks designed after Donatello are my favorite ones. However the Ninja Turtle inspired text on the back of Dunk which says ‘Thirst’ is very cool too. Im loving what was done with the Nike Swoosh on both sneakers, the way Thirst carried the Swoosh all the way to back and tied it off is a unique feature which reminds you of the masks the Ninja Turtles use to wear over their eyes. Im not even gonna say anymore, ill just stop here. I can just keep going on and on about the details involved in these sneakers. Oh yea, you gotta check out that custom Thirst tag on the tongue too which is designed just like the Ninja Turtle logo, killer idea. See what i mean, i cant even stop. Fest your eyes on a whole bunch of more pictures are the jump and see what yourself the amount of time and dedication that went into these. No joke, you need to check the pictures to be amazed. Props to Thirst Customs.
Nike SB Lobster Dunk x Concepts Closer Look

If you werent one of the first lucky 50 buyers to get one of the Nike SB Lobster Dunk packs which were released at Concepts on May 31st, then you missed out on a great concept (no pun intended). The Nike Dunk pack which Concepts sold to the first 50 buyers included everything from t-shirts to an extra pair of yellow laces dubbed “straight butter” in a container, a bib, wet naps, a lobster shell cracker and a few other little other goodies. All included in a custom designed box made to look like a lobster crate used to catch lobster, which then was all placed in a brown bag just like those used when purchasing Lobster in New England. The crew at Concepts reported that sneakerheads from as far as Chicago and NYC headed out to the shop 2 days in advance to wait for the release. Besides for the crowd waiting outside being very polite and courteous to each other the overall event was a big success. Check out some more pictures after the jump of what was included.
Nike SB ‘Old Spice’ Dunk Customs

When the Nike SB Old Spice Dunks came out a lot of people were unpleased with the results. Although the colorway was a nice it didnt really resemble the company Old Spice in a way that stood out so it sort of seemed pointless to even call them the “Old Spice” edition dunks. One of the colors Old Spice is known for using plenty of in their ads and on their products is red. The original Nike SB Old Spice had hardly any red at all in it, besides for a red sole. Check out the picture above, the original sneaker is on the left. The sneaker on the right is a custom job by an ISS member known as PMSRIP420. Hes one of the many who wasnt happy with the final design so he decided to take it upon himself to turn the Old Spice Nike Dunk into something he could personally appreciate. There wasnt really much to do here besides add more red into the mix, so PMSRIP420 broke out the red suede dye and went to work. Yes, you read it right, the suede is dyed red, not painted red. Not an easy task but one well worth the effort. The final result in my opinion, as well as many readers on ISS, is a lot better then what Nike SB had released themselves. Check out some more detailed shots after the jump of the detail and quality that was put into these. You would swear the suede was dyed red straight from the factory.
Nike SB P-Rod High

Heres a new one for all those P-Rod fans out there. This is the new Nike SB P-Rod High which is expected to hit stores in August sometime. The P-Rod High is inspired by Air Jordans as its includes the use of the popular elephant print along with a signature colorway your use to seeing on a pair of Jays. Make sure you mark your calendars for this one, im sure its gonna be a hot release which goes quick. [Via: SF ]
Nike SB Dunk ‘Gold Stars’

The other day pictures of this Nike SB Dunk surfaced on the internet and the word is the nickname so far is “Gold Stars”. Kind of obvious as to where that name came from, but we dont have much info on where the theme is actually coming from. Its been said that these will not be released until 2009, however who knows how much of that is true. Sort of reminds me of a Nike SB x Supreme collaboration with the whole stars thing. I guess we will have to wait until more info arises sometime in the future, until then keep it locked to Sneaker Obsession.
