NJ Skateshop x Nike SB ‘NJ/USA’ Dunk High

NJ Skateshop has provided us with a sneak peek of the upcoming Nike SB ‘NJ/USA’ Dunk High. The sneakers are seen sporting a color combo of grey, black, red and white with a red/white stripped pattern around the ankle and heel section. A NJ Skateshop “NJ” logo is also worked into the design which can clearly be seen towards the heel. Due to the low resolution of the photo i cant quite make out at this time what exactly the material used on the upper is but the red Nike Swoosh almost appears to look like felt.

Although the sneakers are still in the sample stages NJ Skateshop has informed us that the Nike SB ‘NJ/USA’ Dunk High will officially release on July 4th, 2010. Keep it locked to Sneaker Obsession for further details and pictures.

Skate Mental x Nike SB Dunk High Pre-Order

skate-mental-nike-sb-dunk-high

Skate Mental, the company owned by professional skateboarder Brad Staba, and Nike SB are gearing up and getting ready to unleash a brand new collection on us. If you remember Skate Mental and Nike SB previously hooked up on a pair of Nike SB Dunk Mid’s back in 2007. For this collaboration the two brands have not only designed a pair of sneakers, they also whipped up a blood-stained hockey jersey, two graphic tees, two ‘Nike SM’ tees, 3-in-1 jacket and a backpack/blanket combo.

According to original reports the Skate Mental x Nike SB Dunk High is not set to release until sometime in December. However, we have just been informed that the sneakers are available for pre-order now at CCS. Judging by what we saw in the preview pictures provided back in March the sneakers keep the original colorway with a hazelnut suede upper and light blue highlighting the Nike Swoosh and liner. Light grey suede is included around the frontal and a white mid-sole with a brown outsole wraps up the bottom half of the sneakers.

If your planning on copping a pair of the Skate Mental x Nike SB Dunk High when they officially release in December let it be known you can pre-order a pair now at CCS. If you place an order before the end of November 2nd, you can save 15% off orders over $79 when you enter promo code LKS69T8Y.

Nike SB Zoom Tre ‘De La Soul’ Customs

de-la-soul-nike-sb-zoom-tre

Seeing as how i have been a long time fan of the Long Island bred hip hop group De La Soul it was a surprise to me when the De La Soul Dunks released in 2005 and i wasnt feeling them. When i first caught word of the collaboration i had a feeling the sneakers would be one of my grails, but once i caught a look at the sneakers it just didnt hit me like i expected.

Somebody else who can relate to this is sneaker customizer TWITCH. TWITCH says he always wanted a pair of De La Souls but since hes not a big Dunk head he wasnt about to break bread on an overpriced pair from a reseller. Instead he decided to create his own, on a base of his choice, the Nike SB Zoom Tre. TWITCH started off with the white/green/yellow SB Zoom Tre released in 2007 and gave the upper a complete makeover using the original colorway on the De La Soul SB Dunks. Besides for the super clean graphics included on the heel of the sneakers something else which catches our attention is the wood burning which TWITCH did around the ankle of the shoes on the green paneling. Wood burning is something which we have seen TWITCH adding into more of his customs and its defiantly a feature we dont ever mind seeing since TWITCH executes it perfectly every time.

Nike SB P-Rod III Designed By Colin Callsen of Doernbecher

Nike and Jordan Brand are huge sponsors and supporters of the Doernbecher Childrens Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Each year the companies auction off sneakers to benefit the childrens hospital, as well as release models to the general public which some of the kids at Doernbecher have the honor of designing.

One such patient is Colin Callsen who is suffering from Burkitt’s Lymphoma. Despite his illness Colin was lucky enough to do something a lot of us would love to do, design a pair of our very own Nike SB sneakers to be released at retailers nationwide. Colin’s choice of sneakers was the Nike SB P-Rod III, the signature sneakers of Paul Rodriguez. As we can see by the color blocking used on the sneakers blue is obviously one of Colin’s favorite colors. The base of the sneakers feature white leather with plenty of blue accents to brighten the sneakers up. Around the toe of the sneakers is blue patent leather, on the lateral theres a blue/grey camo pattern and with grey patent leather on the heel tab consisting of gold Nike branding. Colin continued the use of the blue/grey camo design as we can see its been carried out on the outsole of the shoes. Besides for the color blue Colin must also have a thing for motocross and skulls cause the insoles of the sneakers feature a repeating design consisting of both graphics.

According to reports by TSG the Nike SB P-Rod III designed by Colin Callsen will be releasing at Nike Towns and Nike concept stores on November 14th, 2009 for a retail price of $95. Click here now to check out more detailed photos of the sneakers.

Nike SB Dunk High – Black/White/Gum

nike-sb-dunk-high-black-white-gum

Eric Koston recently popped up in a picture posted by Kevin Imamura on Twitter holding a pair of SB Dunks which have caused quite the commotion online.  Seen in his hands is a Nike SB Dunk High which uses a colorway exactly the same as the Nike Dunk High – Black/White/Gum released back in August. Its hard to tell by this picture if the upper is made of suede or canvas and blogs are reporting both, so until further details arise we cant be to exact.

Stay tuned for further details.
