Nike Hyperdunk 2010 “Christmas Day”

This past holiday season, a number of NBA athletes laced up festive colorways of their signature sneakers as they took to the court for their Christmas Day games. Pau Gasol doesn’t haven’t his own signature model, rather he chooses to endorse Nike’s Hyper series, therefore they’re constantly providing him with PE colorways. Such as this Christmas Day edition of the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 Gasol wore when the Lakers and the Heat had their Christmas Day showdown. The sneakers use a color scheme very similiar to that on the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Grinch”, using a bright shades of green throughout the upper, offset with a darker shade of green on the midsole and accented with red on the laces. This is one of the other sneakers Mayor got in the box of goodies he received from Nike, adding to the Nike LeBron 8 V2 PE Black-Red we showed you earlier. Since Christmas has come and gone and we’re just about into the second month of 2011, it’s probably safe to say these won’t be releasing.

Nike Hyperdunk 2010 “Spain” PE

Upon their arrival to New York City for the World Basketball Festival, the national basketball team from Spain will be blessed with the freshest Hyperdunk 2010′s any of them could ever ask for. Just like the other teams participating in the scrimmages and practices being held on some of the most famous basketball courts in NYC, the athletes from Spain are getting their very own teamed colored sneakers to rock. The Hyperdunk 2010 was the model of choice for the Pau Gasol and his team of Spaniards, carrying the White/Red-Yellow colorway associated with their uniforms. Unlike the sneakers designed for the France and Puerto Rico team’s, the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 “Spain” PE doesn’t include the country name or an image of it’s flag anywhere on the sneaker, leaving the color palette itself to make the reference to Spain.

Nike Hyperdunk 2010 & Zoom Hyperfuse “Puerto Rico” PE

For their invitation to the WBF this year in NYC the national basketball team from Puerto Rico will have the choice of taking to the court in Nike Zoom Hyperfuse or the Nike Hyperdunk 2010, both of which are stylized to match their team colors and being presented to them as a gift from Nike. As you would expect from a team-inspired PE, the sneakers sport a Blue/White-Red colorway to coincide with the Puerto Rican flag, which is visible on the ankle of the Hyperfuse and on the tongue of the Hyperdunk 2010. According to reports both pairs are destined for a retail release at some point in a limited quantity, so if you’re interested keep your eyes open for them to appear at some of the finer Nike outlets.

Nike Hyperdunk 2010 “USA Basketball”

The 2010 USA Basketball team isn’t looking all to promising right now. Candidates don’t have to report to camp yet but there’s been numerous athletes who’ve mentioned possibly not turning out for this years team due to other priorities. Among some of the questionable’s right now include Lebron, Bosh, Carmelo, Dwight Howard, D. Wade and Kendrick Perkins. With some of the top players coming out and expressing that they may not be representing USA this year in the world games, the team’s been reaching out to some other top prospect not originally selected, such as Rondo who’s reported to have turned down the offer.

We’ll have to wait it out a little longer to see how things pan out and what the roster looks like, but we don’t have to wait to catch a look at some of the sneakers being designed for the players planing to play. Kobe’s gonna be out there in the Nike Zoom Kobe V “USA Basketball” and if LeBron chances his mind he’ll be lacing up the Zoom LeBron VII “USA Basketball”. If Chris Bosh decides to turn out this year there’s a chance you could possibly see him sporting the Hyperdunk 2010 “USA Basketball” shown here. Just like the others, a white base is accented by sport red and obsidian to bring together the Team USA colors.

We don’t exactly know when the sneakers are set to release in the US but they’ve recently become available at select retailers overseas, including Sevens Field. A release in your area should follow soon.

Nike x Aston Martin x Kobe Bryant Pack – Hyperdunk & Zoom Kobe V

When Kobe Bryant appeared in a viral video jumping over a moving Aston Martin in a pair of Hyperdunks, the world instantly took to the forums, blogs and video sharing sites to express their reactions. For weeks their were consent debates about whether or not the video was real, which it of course wasn’t, but the controversy helped put the spot on the Hyperdunks for quite some time, along with the Aston Martin that appeared in the video.

In honor of that very video, and the amount of buzz it received around the world, Nike, Aston Martin and Kobe Bryant joined forces again to put together the Nike x Aston Marin “Kobe Bryant” Pack. The pack includes a Hyperdunk which we’ve previously previewed, and a Zoom Kobe V. Both of the sneakers feature gunmetal color schemes with the Hyperdunks featuring a burgundy leather inner lining, and the Zoom Kobe V using the hue on it’s tongue. Kobe’s name, the Aston Martin logo and the Nike Swoosh are all included on the tongue of the Hyperdunks, with the Kobe V incorporating them onto the insoles. One last touch to the Hyperdunks is a pair of lace locks reading “I Got This”

As if these aren’t already due to be a collector’s item, Nike will be releasing them in a double-box which once again includes Kobe’s name, the Aston Martin logo and the Swoosh on the outside of the box, and on wrapping paper. On the side of the box there’s repeating silhouettes of Kobe getting ready to leap over the Aston Martin with the phrase “Thats How You Do It” printed alongside the images.

The Nike x Aston Martin “Kobe Bryant” Pack will be limited to a total of 500 packs worldwide and will only launch through select Nike distributors. Limited EDT in Singapore has been lucky enough to be one of the boutiques to get their hand on some stock and they’ll be releasing what they have on March 23rd.

Aston Martin x Kobe Bryant x Nike Hyperdunk

In 2008 when Nike launched the Hyperdunk they turned to LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant to endorse the sneakers and help promote them in a series of viral videos. The videos featured Kobe jumping to incredible heights which Nike wanted us to believe was only possibly when wearing a pair of the ultra light Hyperdunks. Kobe was seen jumping over an assortment of things, one of them being a moving Aston Martin.

It appears Aston Martin has gotten involved with Nike and the Hyperdunks a little more then just letting the company use one of their cars last year for the video. Seen here is a very special edition of the Hyperdunk which Aston Martin designed in a joint project with Nike and Kobe Bryant. The shoes feature a chrome like Metallic Silver finish on the toe, ankle panel, lace panels and heel cap, with a Gunmetal color on the Flywire upper and Silver again on the mid-sole. The inner lining is fabricated from smooth Red leather to resemble the exotic leather interior on an Aston Martin and fixed to the tongue is a round piece of carbon fiber with Kobe’s name, the Aston Martin logo and the Nike Swoosh all printed on it in a stacked formation. Kobe’s signature is also included on the backside of the tongue on a Red leather tag.

No release details are available for the Nike Hyperdunk “Aston Martin” at this time but it just has happens that OSneaker has a size 7.5 available and reports the sneakers will be limited to 500 pairs and are expected to drop sometime during the Spring.

Nike Hyperdunk 2010 “LA Lakers”

Thanks to VSneaker we have our very first look at the Nike Hyperdunk 2010, a model which incorporates some of Nike’s latest innovation in the original Hyperdunk silhouette. When the Hyperdunk’s were first released they pretty much set a standard when it came to Nike’s basketball sneakers. However, things have changed a little bit since since as far as technologies goes with Nike making many improvements over their innovations.

When designing the Hyperdunk 2010 Nike kept most of the design traits used on the original Hyperdunk such as the Flywire upper, the floating counter heel, and the dynamic innersleeve. The Huarache inspired cutout also remains, however it’s now slightly larger then that on the original Hyperdunk. The new features, which are more then noticeable include a one piece seamless TPU Flywire upper similar to that used on the Kobe V and a Phylon midsole and a full-length Zoom Air bag which replaces the Lunarlite foam used on previous Hyperdunk releases.

No official release date for this version of the Hyperdunk 2010 or any version of the Hyperdunk 2010 is available at this time so stay tuned for further details.

Nike Hyperdunk Low – White/Grey

Set to release in 2010 is a grip of new Nike Hyperdunk Low colorways to go along with the two color schemes, White/Black/Red and all Black, which were released towards the end of December ’09. Just like it’s big brother you can expect the low cut version of the Hyperdunk to be produced in a slew of color schemes throughout the year, with one such version being this white/grey model. The white upper features a combination of white flywire and white patent leather, with the midsole also finished in white with the addition of a grey speckle pattern and a clear translucent outsole. Further use of grey accents appear on the heel and inner lining.

No white exactly when these will be released but we will be sure to keep you updated. Until then click here to check out a couple more detailed photos of the sneakers.

Nike Hyperdunk Low White/Black/Red – Available Now

Fresh off the heels of the Nike Hyperdunk Low in a black/silver colorway comes this brighter and more eye catching version featuring a combination of white, black and red. For this version Nike used a touch of black patent leather on the toe and lace panels with black mesh added to the tongue. Black was also used for the Nike Swoosh which is outlined in red and pops right out off the white Flywire. Further use of white is featured on top of the tongue and on the mid-sole which consists of a subtle grey speckle pattern. Besides for the red outline around the Nike Swoosh accents of red were also added to the inner lining, Hyperdunk branding on the tongue and on a section of the outsole.

Finishline has black this colorway and the previously shown black/silver version both in stock now for $90 a piece. I’ve checked out and tried on the Hyperdunk Low and i have to say i was rather impressed with the comfort. I wasn’t to fond of the black/silver version out at the time but these are more on my level, may have to grab a pair for myself after this.

Nike Hyperdunk “Manu Ginobili/Argentina” PE

Manu Ginobili, the Argentina native who currently plays guard for the San Antonio is no stranger to Nike Hyperdunks. Back in 2008 Ginobili was one of many NBA athletes who wore specially designed Hyperdunks during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Some of you may even remember the pack of Hyperdunks that were released and recall what Ginobili’s pair looked like.

Seen here is what we believe could possibly be a sample model created before the Beijing Olympics Hyperdunks actually got put into production and released. Or just a new PE Hyperdunk for Ginobili. Details on that are a little hazzy to be honest.

Just like the ones which surfaced at retailers last year this Hyperdunk carries a theme inspired by Ginobili’s native country of Argentina. However the colorup is completely different then the ones released in store. This version sports an entirely blue upper accented with hits of white which is a lot more eye catching then the white/blue/navy version which was released. The branding on the shoes is a little different as well. Ginobili’s #20 which he wears for the Spurs is seen on the tongue tag of the sneakers above some sort of logo while the Sun from the Argentina flag is incorporated across the heel.

According to MarqueeSole who has a size 8.5 in stock this is an unreleased PE. They don’t go into detail though on whether this is a newly designed PE or a model which was scrapped when the Hyperdunks got released in 2008. Either way though if your a Hyperdunk collector this would defiantly be a nice pair to add to the collection. If they were in a SZ 13 i’d cop for sure. But since they aren’t i guess i’ll have to do like the rest of you and just enjoy the pics provided after the jump.
