Nike SB Blazer ‘7-PLY’ Customs

Ever since i came across the work of Brad Douglas (Supra Skytop ‘Zip It Up’ Customs) i was instantly amazed by his abilities and ideas when it came to customizing sneakers. Brad, known as Red0004 on the forums, has presented us with a handful of customs which a lot of you were really digging, so with that being said we bring you another Brad Douglas creation, the Nike SB Blazer ‘7-PLY’ Customs.

The Nike SB Blazer ‘7-PLY’ follows a theme inspired by a skateboard. The sneakers consist of an entirely brown upper made up from lasered maple wood grain leather with Jessup grip tape used on the Nike Swoosh, heel panel and on the tongue tags. An interesting design element which Brad included into the design to help carry out the skateboard theme is the addition of truck hardware on the heel panel of the shoes. Accenting the entire design, while at the same time not taking to much away from the upper is a red sock liner.

Nike Blazer High ‘Eggplant Foamposite’

After already taking a look at the Royal Blue Nike Blazer High Foamposite and the Eggplant Nike Big Nike High Foamposite we now have our very first look at a second pair of Blazers making using of the foamposite material. This time the Nike Blazer High sports a eggplant foamposite upper with a shiny black plastic Nike Swoosh and a black heel panel with a black heel spine. The sole unit is completely black and resting above it is a strip of carbon fiber.

According to OSneaker the shoes are limited to a total of 72 pairs but that has yet to be confirmed. If they are anything like the Royal Blue Foamposite Nike Blazers chances are they will be a House of Hoops exclusive. Click here to check out a few more detailed photos.

Nike SB October 2009 Quickstrike Releases

Thanks to Premier, we have just gotten a confirmation on what the Nike SB October 2009 Quickstrike Releases are. The month of October brings us two quickstrikes, one of which we knew about for quite some time, the Nike SB ‘Brain Wreck’ Dunk Premium designed in collaboration with Todd Bratrud. Alongside those is the Blood Splatter Nike SB Blazer Premium, a model which have folks have dubbed “Count Dracula”.

Out of the two the Brain Wreck Dunks have to be my personal favorite not just due to the smooth lookin colorways but because of the stitching on the inner lining which was done to look as if its a brain. Quality detailing like that really helps to wrap up the theme of the sneakers.

Nike SB Blazer Inspired By Chuck Taylor All-Star

nike-sb-blazer-chuck-taylor

Its unfortunate but for some reason or another some great designs get scrapped and never make it into mass production, leaving many of us high and dry in need of a pair of sneakers we will never be able to get our hands on. One such pair which has me feeling in such a way is this sample Nike SB Blazer which has a little bit of a Converse Chuck Taylor vibe going on.

The sneakers consist of Swooshless black canvas upper with tonal black stitching all throughout the upper. Instead of adding the Swoosh panel Nike opted to include a silhouette of the Swoosh in black stitching. The sole unit is white as you will find on many Chucks and on the heel of the sole unit theres a black Nike SB Blazer stamp in a nod to the rubber stamp found on the heel of Chucks. Theres also the unstuffed, paper thin tongue stitched up like that on a pair of All-Stars.

At this time its unclear if these sneakers will ever be released to the public so stay tuned for further details. Click here to view more detailed photos. Via: MentalKicks
