Nike SB Blazer Premium “Zebra”

Shelter has just posted some images of this Nike SB Blazer Premium which we took the liberty to dub “Zebra”. The Blazer SB makes use of a black suede on the toe, lace panels, heel tab and heel spine. A zebra-esque pattern is used throughout the rest of the suede upper in blue, white and black. The white Nike Swoosh is outlined with a hint of red, with red also added the Nike branding on the heel tab and the inner lining.

Shelter in Mexico has the sneakers now, so they should be arriving at Nike SB retailers within the United States soon, possibly as a February 2010 release. Click here to check out a few detailed shots of the sneakers.

Nike SB Blazer “UCLA” – February 2010 Release

Rivalries are common ground in just about every sport and league going, from the Pros to the Minors, to NCAA and High School team. Nike has capitalized off of many of them, using the rivalry of various teams to come up with color schemes for sneakers. One such rivalry which Nike has been inspired by resides in the city of Los Angeles between the cities two University teams, the UCLA Bruins and the USC Trojans.

As part of the Nike SB November 2009 Releases we say a USC inspired SB Blazer in a Team Red/Yellow Ochre colorway and next month in February Nike SB will drop another Blazer, this time inspired by the rival of the Trojans, the UCLA Bruins. The Blazers feature the signature colorway of the Bruins using a Gold Leaf suede upper accented by Insignia Blue suede on the heel tab and heel spine, and Insignia Blue leather on the Swoosh. Solid white appears on the sole unit, Nike branding on the heel and on the Nike branding on the tongue. There’s also a white pair of laces, as well as a blue pair.

Select retailers across the pond such as Kasina have the sneakers in stock now and Nike SB retailers within the States should have them within the coming weeks.

Nike SB Blazer “Denier Quilted” Customs

If you’ve been a reader of Sneaker Obsession for quite awhile you are probably familiar with the fact how we are consistently showing love to the artists out there and providing you with photos of their latest custom sneakers. This is something we have done since day one and will always continue to do, as we have helped numerous artists break the barrier and get their name out there.

One such artist who we have helped is our friend Jake, also known as JBF. A few weeks ago we presented you with a look at the adidas Superstar “Refresh STR” he created and since then Jake has been in the “kitchen” whipping up all sorts of new kicks.

One of his latest custom designs is displayed on a pair of Nike SB Blazers, a first for Jake which is another reconstruction project. Jake took a pair of red suede Nike SB Blazers and literally torn em apart at the seams, leaving him with nothing but each and every panel laid out and ready for new material. The idea was to create a subtle pair of SB Blazers which could compete with the wet elements of the Winter. Therefore Jake decided to stitch the Blazers up with a 1000 Denier quilted black nylon upper, which happens to be waterproof and unbelievably durable. To give the sneakers some pop during the day black patent leather was added to the lace tabs and heel tabs. The Nike Swoosh was then stitched up in a white glow in the the dark material which compliments the white sole unit nicely during the day and then glows a bright shade of neon green at night. Jake goes on to tell us that glow lasts bright for at least 3 hours, and the glow properties will not diminish for at least ten years, even with heavy use.

Reconstructions are heavy right now and this is just one of the many coming from the boatloads of artists out there doing their thing in the custom sneaker market. Click here to check out detailed photos of the Nike SB Blazer “Denier Quilted” Customs by Jake in their finished state and make sure you keep it locked to SneakerObsession.com for your fix on the dopest custom kicks. Jake’s email and Facebook info is listed below as well incase you wanna hit him up for some work.

Nike SB Blazer – Spring 2010 Releases

nike-sb-blazers-spring-2010-releases

Nike SB releases are always a popular topic of discussion so lets take a look at two upcoming Nike SB Blazers part of the upcoming Spring 2010 collection. On deck first is a varsity red/white-black SB Blazer consisting of a fair amount of both red suede and black suede with accents of white on the leather Nike Swoosh and Nike branding on the heel. You also got the white sole unit to go along with it. Behind it a noble green/razzle SB Blazer featuring an entirely green suede upper with accents of red on the laces, Nike branding on the heel and behind the perforated Swoosh silhouette. Judging by the choice of color scheme on that last one you would swear these SB Blazers were designed with Christmas in mind. Maybe thats why Japanese retailer Breaker decided to add them to their Christmas Sale.

For a solo shot of each pair click here and stay tuned for further details on when each pair is expected to release in the States.

Nike Blazer Mid (GS) – Grey/Black

And here we have another classic pair of Nike Blazer Mid’s produced just for the kids. A few weeks ago we showed you a Blazer Mid (GS) for the kids in a NY Yankees inspired color scheme and now we have a version which is somewhat similar, just with a few minor differences to make them unique from the other pair. The entire upper on the Blazer is finished off in grey leather with some sort of synthetic material also in grey on the lace panels and tongue. Keeping it simple and straying away from loud colors Nike included a subtle black on the Nike Swoosh, toe cap, inner lining and heel panel. Simplicity at it’s best ladies and gentlemen, it’s just unfortunate once again that these have been release only as a GS model.

If your lucky enough to squeeze into anything between a size 3.5 and 7 hit up FinishLine now to get a pair and don’t forget to use coupon code HOLIDAY1060 to save yourself $10.
