Nike Big Nike High – Black/Metallic Silver

Following up on the crispy white, icey-soled Big Nike High that released last month comes a brand new pair for the month of August which packs a little more umph to catch some attention. Featuring a black base, this Nike Big Nike High can’t-be-missed thanks to a textured Metallic Silver patent leather paneling around the toe and heel, and on the lace panels and Swoosh. An Orange tongue tag comes in as an unusual accent color with a White mid-sole and a Grey outsole completing the shoes. If you’re interested they’re available now through Finish Line for $80, although we personally feel if you’re in the market for a new pair of Big Nike High’s the aforementioned pair in White with the icy outsole should be a defiant cop.

Nike Big Nike High – White/Team Red-Black

Since rejoining the catalog last year in 2009, the Nike Big Nike has qualified for perfect attendance. Not quitting a day, the retro 80′s basketball sneaker has launched in more colorways then one can count, including a number of popular themed releases. As you would expect from a dedicated attendee, the Nike Big Nike will be making a steady appearance throughout the year with a few new colorways. One such colorup is the White/Marina Blue-Obsidian version which was spotted at retailers overseas. Alongside those, Nike will also be releasing this White/Team Red-Black color scheme.

Sporting white leather on the toe, lace panels and mid-section, the Nike Big Nike High is contrasted by a black heel panel and a team red Nike Swoosh. Surrounding the ankle is some sort of plush-looking fabric, also in team red, which almost looks like satin but very well may not be. Bring it all to a close is a white mid-sole capped off with red stitching and a black outsole.

It’s expected that the shoes are part of Nike’s June 2010 releases, so they should be arriving at retailers soon. However, there’s a few pairs available now through eBay for those who wanna get a jump start on the release.

WMNS Nike Big Nike Low White/Black-Vibrant Yellow

Between random colorways and the Rock-N-Roll and Kill Bill-inspired releases, we’ve defiantly been given a nice selection of Nike Big’s to pick and choose from so far this year. There’s been a little something for the girls and a little something for guys, usually in both the high-top and low-top silhouettes.

As you should know a lot of things come in two’s these days. So, when there’s a guy release of a certain model there’s more then likely a version for the women lurking in the shadows. Which is just the case with the two new Nike Big’s arriving at retailers. Earlier this month we showed you a Nike Big Nike High for the guys in White/Marina Blue-Obsidian (there’s that Marina Blue again) and now we’ve spotted a Nike Big Nike Low for the women.

Dividing a predominantly white leather base, this Nike Big Nike Low features an abstract-like design on the mid-panels consisting of various straight edged shapes in orange, pink, purple, yellow and blue. Glossy black patent leather is used to construct the Nike Swoosh, with the color also being adding to the tongue, lining, NIKE branding on the heel and throughout the sole unit.

The sneakers are available now at select Nike retailers, including Finish Line, for a retail price of $72.

Nike Big Nike High – White/Marina Blue-Obsidian

After launch in themed releases such as low top and high top Rock-N-Rock versions for the kids and the Kill Bill version for the guys, the Nike Big Nike High is back in a brand new mens release which isn’t based on a damn thing but great color usage.

Creating a likeable, eye-catching Nike Big Nike High, white leather is used through the front and midsection of the upper with dark obsidian on the heel paneling. Adding in the Springtime “pop” to liven things up, marina blue accents appear on the Swoosh and around the ankle. The same hue is also used for contrast stitching on the mid-sole and as an outline around the white NIKE branding on the heel. Finally, extra doses of dark obsidian on the inner lining and outsole cap things off.

They’re available now overseas through LTD and should be arriving stateside soon.

Nike Big Nike High LE (GS) – Rock N’ Roll Pack

When we caught a look at an upcoming studded Vandal High it became evident that Nike was bringing back their Rock N’ Roll/Heavy Metal Pack. In 2008 Nike released a Terminator and a Vandal for the guys featuring a studded upper and this year they’ve put together a pack for the kids which includes the previously mentioned Vandal’s and this Nike Big Nike High.

While the Vandal’s kept things simple, or as simple as a studded shoes can be, the Big Nike High sports a much more eye catching design with studs in two different colors and a variety of premium materials. Glossy studs are fastened around the frontal, ballistic mesh is used on the toe-box, smooth leather fabrics the lace panels and mid-panels and patent leather finishes off the heel panel, all in black. Silver studs and Silver Nike branding on the heel and tongue was then added to accent the Black base.

The Rock N’ Roll Pack is available now at Limited EDT in kids (GS) sizes and should be arriving at US distributors soon.

WMNS Big Nike Low LE – White/Pink/Metallic Silver

Over the past few months we’ve seen a variety of Nike Big Nike releases offering consumers a selection of colorways to pick from. Majority of the releases those have been produced for the guys, leaving the ladies with fewer choices when it came to Nike Big Nike releases.

That’s all about to change in 2010 though as Nike prepares to drop a slew of Big Nike releases for the women, the first of which is shown here and arriving at retailers now. For their first drop Nike went with a Big Nike Low LE donning a color combination of white, pink and metallic silver. The gist of the upper sports a white base while accents of pink are seen applied around the ankle, along the top of the tongue and on the enlarged NIKE stamp on the heel. A touch of metallic silver is worked onto a patent leather Nike Swoosh. I can’t quite make out exactly what the design is on the tongue tag but it’s a graphic which has appeared on some of the recently released Valentines Day sneakers so my guess would be that these are intended to be just like those, another Valentines Day themed release.

Nike Big Nike High & Auto Flight High – Kill Bill Pack

Quentin Tarantino has made a lot of great movies through the course of his career so far. Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Natural Born Killers and Reservoir Dogs are just a few of my personal favorites. When it comes to the discussion on which Tarantino flick is the best I gotta give my vote to not one but two Tarantino movies, Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Kill Bill: Vol. 2.

There is no denying that the Kill Bill series is a fan favorite which is why Nike used inspiration from the movie the Kill Bill Pack consisting of a Big Nike High and an Auto Flight High. Since this is a movie series we’re talking about Nike one sneaker to resemble Vol. 1 and the other sneaker to resemble Vol. 2.

The Kill Bill Vol. 1 inspiration was used on the Big Nike High. The shoes feature a Black and Yellow base with a Metallic Silver Nike Swoosh and a red Blood splatter throughout mid section and heel of the upper. Featured on the insoles is a design of the Kill Bill hit list.

Kill Bill Vol. 2 comes into play on the Nike Auto Flight High which uses an entirely Red upper slightly accented with Yellow and Black. Just like the Big Nike High the Auto Flight features the Kill Bill hit list on the insoles.

Nike Big Nike High – Black/Royal/White

Making the rounds to select Nike retailers nationwide is this new colorup of the Nike Big Nike High. The kicks sport a predominantly black nubuck upper with royal on the heel panel and toe-box. The big Nike branding on the heel of the shoes is done up in black with a nice white outline to it which helps it pop off the blue base. Furthermore the mid-sole is also white, with black stitching and a black outsole.
