Jordan Icons – Black/White/Varsity Red @ Finishline

It’s not often theĀ  hybrid designs from Jordan Brand get praised among the sneaker community. Majority of us have a lot of love for the classics and hate to see them being used in fusions, hybrid and crossover models. The same can’t really be said though for the Jordan Icons, a new hybrid model which is actually getting a little bit of acceptance from the consumers.

While trying to maintain a somewhat unique look the Jordan Icons still clearly draws noticeable influence from the Air Jordan XX and the Air Jordan XX3. The upper and tongue feature stitching similar to that used on the XX3 while the midsole and the outsole construction is similar to that on the XX’s. Built into the sole unit and providing superior comfort and cushioning is a I.P.S. system, which stands for Independent Podular Suspension. They even include the newly designed 23/25 logo which has started appearing on some of Jordan Brand’s releases this year to mark their 25th Anniversary.

To debut the Jordan Icons two colorways have been released to the public, one of which is the classic Bred colorway shown here in Black/White/Varsity Red. You know Jordan Brand can’t resist using that signature color scheme of theirs.

For those who are interested in picking up a pair of the Jordan Icons you can get em now through Finishline for $125.

Jordan 1 Fund – White/Silver/Grey

The other day we showed you the Jordan 1 Fund, a new crossover model from Jordan Brand which fuses the Air Jordan Retro 1, the Jordan Big Fund and the Air Jordan 2. A lot of you were speechless, not in the sense where you were amazed by the sneakers but more so in the fact we took the time to feature such a model. Needless to say it’s our job to do so, which is why we’re back with a look at another Jordan 1 Fund making it’s way to distributors.

This time the Jordan 1 Fund is seen sporting an upper fabricated from smooth leather, patent leather and perforated leather, all in pure White. Silver Jumpman hardware is included on the tongue and lateral side of the upper with the Air Jordan 2 sole unit, now consisiting of a Max Air unit in the heel, finished in Grey and accented with a Black speckle pattern.

Is this another release from Jordan Brand destined for the clearance rack? Many would say so, and probably be right, but for now they’re available at a retail price of $100 through Finishline and other select Jordan Brand distributors.

Air Jordan Alpha 1 “Silver Anniversary”

The Air Jordan White Collection honoring the Jordan Brand’s 25th Anniversary, also known as the Silver Anniversary, has sure caught the attention of Jordan heads and many of us already have our personal favorites in the collection which we can’t wait to get our hands on. We were well aware the collection consisted of every signature Air Jordan up to the XXV but now some images have surfaced of a Air Jordan Alpha 1 which looks to be part of the collection as well due to their entirely white finish. It hasn’t exactly been confirmed whether or not these are part of the White Collection but given the fact the Air Jordan White Collection Tour will soon hit Chicago we’re sure more images will arise giving us a better idea if these are part of the lineup or not. As you can see though the Jordan Alpha 1 features a pure White upper in smooth premium leather and perforated leather with a clear translucent outsole glued up to the bottom.

When further details surface we’ll be sure to fill you in on the details about the sneakers and it’s release, until then enjoy the photo. Via: NT

Inspired by the Air Jordan Retro 1 and Jordan Big Fund, the Jordan 1 Fund combines the classic silhouette of the AJ 1 with the updated technology and details from the Big Fund. This specific version of the Jordan 1 Fund features a White full-grain leather base with Black patent leather trim and a touch of University Blue on the tongue Jumpman logo, on the heel and within the Max Air unit fastened inside the heel of the Black polyurethane midsole. A silver metal Jumpman is also worked into the sneakers and fixed to the lateral side of the upper.

Select Jordan Brand retailers such as Finishline are stocking the Jordan 1 Fund – White/Black/University Blue now for a price of $100.

Air Jordan Alpha 1 ‘Tinker Hatfield’ Available at Finishline

Have you ever wondered where Jordan Brand would be today had it not been for the legendary footwear designer Tinker Hatfield? Back in 1988 Nike assigned Tinker to the task of designing Jordan’s next signature sneaker, the Air Jordan III and since then he’s designed well over 10 other models for the brand. Pretty impressive to say the least, and that doesn’t include all the model he designed for Nike, such as the first Air Max, one of the world’s most recognized sneakers. With such a talent it’s no wonder Tinker is Nike’s Vice President of Innovation Design.

In honor of all he’s done and the history he has with the company Jordan Brand releases this very special edition of the Air Jordan Alpha 1 which we were told comes in a color scheme Tinker picked out himself. The shoes sport a combination of smooth leather and perforated leather on a Birch colored upper accented by hits of Black and Orange Blaze. The words “THE FIRST TO BRING COLOR TO THE GAME” and “THANK YOU” are split and printed in Red on the Black outsoles.

The sneakers started arriving at select Jordan Brand retailers last week and they have now become available on Finishline for any of you still looking to get a pair.

Air Jordan White Collection On It’s Way To Chicago

air-jordan-white-collection-tour

To commemorate 25years of Air Jordan history Jordan Brand is touring the country and stopping at some key landmarks/events to give consumers and fans alike a chance to view the Complete Air Jordan White Collection, also referred to as the Silver Anniversary Collection. The tour kicked off during the 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas and now it’s on route to Chicago. Where exactly in Chicago hasn’t been disclosed at this time.

When the tour kicked off this previous weekend Jordan Brand put together an area known as the Jordan Brand 23/25 Experience. The Jordan Brand 23/25 Experience not only gave people a chance to see the Air Jordan White Collection but there were also interactive touchscreens giving consumers a look into the deep heritage of Jordan Brand, Michael Jordan and the sneakers, and an entire pop up studio where consumers could set up appointments to create there own Air Jordan Alpha 1 iD and laser etch pretty much anything they wanted from sneakers to phones to laptops. It hasn’t been mentioned whether or not every stop on the tour will included an experience like that in Dallas during All-Star Weekend but you can best believe Jordan Brand isn’t just gonna roll out a lineup of sneakers which you can easily just view online, they’ll defiantly come with something to make you wanna drive a couple hours to the Chi if you’re not local.

The photos supplied here by Sole Collector were taken back in October 2008 when Jordan Brand originally put together the collection of all white J’s. Click here to check em out and stay tune for further details on the 25th Anniversary Air Jordan White Collection Tour.
