Greedy Genius ‘The Year Of The Rat’
Greedy Genius has a lot of fresh new designs coming out this spring/summer 2008 season and another new sneaker they have added to the collection is one which is called “The Year Of The Rat”. The sneakers are made up of red napa leather on the upper with shinny gold embroidery designs along with a mustard colored sole. The liner is done up in a red and black checker design with a gold Greedy Genius tag on the tongue. As we speak these are being shipped to Greedy Genius retailers worldwide so check your local spots. Greedy Genius: Phantom Tiffany
Another sneaker to be released as part of the Greedy Genius 2008 Collection will be these Phantom Tiffany sneakers. The design includes a white waffle mesh liner, black patent leather on the front , and back with 3M accents, black patent leather on the tongue and a embossed diamond pattern design on the heel in tiffany blue. These will hit Greedy Genius retailers next week along with the Phantom Jewelz. Check out more pictures after the jump.
Greedy Genius Phantom Jewelz
As part of the Greedy Genius Spring / Summer 2008 Collection, the company has released this new shoe called Phantom Jewelz. The Greedy Genius Phantom Jewelz is sort of unlinke most other Greedy Genius shoes were as this one is pretty simple and low key. We are use to see loud designs from the company and here they have switched things around and just covered the sneakers in napa leather in black, slapped on a nubuck outsole and placed some purple 3M accents here and there. The design this time around is actually on the liner of the shoe where Greedy Genius has added a Jewel design in a few colors. Check your local Greedy Genius Retailers now as they should be hitting shelves soon.
Greedy Genius Barneys NY Bones Sneaker
Greedy Genius and Barney’s New York is at it once again. This is the 5th pair of sneakers the 2 companies have worked on together. We recently showed you the Croc Star which was another Barneys NY and Greedy Genius collaboration. Barneys and Greedy are sure to have more designs on the way for the rest of the year. The shoe comes in a silver, green, burgundy and a somewhat pale yellow colorway. Greedy always adds the extra touch though. You know how on most sneakers, if not all sneakers, the perforated leather has round holes? Well check out the perforated leather on these Greedy Genius kicks, mini X marks, which you know were done by hand. These shoes are well worth the money if you can manage to find yourself a pair.
Greedy Genius Croc Star
Greedy Genius is at it once again. The world famous dapartment store Barneys, which is located in New York, has teamed up with Greedy Genius for another collaboration. This is the fourth collaboration between Greedy Genius and Barney’s. Known as the “Croc Star” these sneakers feature black crocodile leather, as well as over 100+ black stars on the white premium leather. Just to give you an idea of how much time was put into these sneakers, those stars are not printed on the sneaker. Instead each star has been hand stitched. Over 100 hand stitched stars on each shoe. Talk about time and dedication. One thing is for sure, when Greedy Genius hooks up with somebody for a collaboration you can best believe the quality of work will be at its best. I have yet to see a pair of Greedy Genius kicks which didnt know a sense of pride and dedication to the shoe game. More images follow after the jump.
Greedy Genius Holiday Style
The Magic Tradeshow is the largest fashion tradeshow in the world tradeshow. Designers and their artists travel from around the world to attend the tradshow and either show off their designs of view the newest in fashion. A lot of custom sneaker designers show up at the Magic Tradeshow, for example Greedy Genius. This is a pic that was taken at the 07′ Magic show show one of the newest samples of the Greedy Genius sneakers to hit the market this winter and in 08′. This sneaker is called the Caviar and is part of the Faux Stingray line by Greedy. I like what they did with the texture on the black, and the orange laces set it off nicely. Can’t wait to see what else drops from Greedy Genius in the coming months.
