Remix x Greedy Genius Ocean Runner

Taiwanese clothing brand Remix teams up with Greedy Genius to develop its own version of the brand’s nautical-inspired Ocean Runner. The sneakers sport a black suede base with black leather trim and feature Remix’s signature logo embroidered several times across the heel in white. Additional details include a tonal suede tongue tag, gold eyelets and waxed leather laces, which appear in white throughout the upper and come in black to keep you laced up. Each pair of sneakers also comes with a small brush branded with Remix’s logo so you can keep that suede looking it’s best.

According to Taiwan blog Cadmus, the Remix x Greedy Genius Ocean Runner is scheduled to be released today exclusively though Remix.

Greedy Genius Hi Top – Fall 2010 Release

For the Fall 2010 season Greedy Genius reworked their entire collection, creating a whole new collection of footwear to unleash upon us in the coming months. Previews have slowly been popping up here and there of whats to come and today Hypebeast has provided us with some shots of a model known simply as the Hi Top. Taking on a premium feel, this particular version of the Hi Top consists of a Black upper constructed mostly from patent leather with regular leather on the lace panels and the heel panel which features a zig-zag like stitching. White perforated leather wraps around the ankle and White cross-stitching along the upper kick in a little contrast against the Black base and a newly designed Greedy Genius tongue tags gets introduced along with the new model.

The Greedy Genius Hi Top is expected to arrive at retailers in October 2010 for $65.

Greedy Genius Ocean Runner Lo – Available Now

A few weeks after previewing the newly transformed, trimmed down Ocean Runner Lo, we’ve been given the word that the sneakers are starting to become available through select Greedy Genius distributors.

Greedy keeps the same aesthetics that made the original Ocean Runner such a popular seller and packs it all into a slightly smaller silhouette. Although labeled as a Lo, the sneakers aren’t as slim as your average run of the mill low tops, appearing to be more of a mid cut. Obviously low enough though for the Greedy Genius standards.

There’s expected to be a total of atleast four different colorways of the Ocean Runner Lo this Summer – navy, brown, chocolate and black – two of which are available now. DrJays has both the black and navy color options available for $60, while Karmaloop has only the black pair at this time for $55. Greedy Genius Ocean Runner Low Preview

After unleashing the Ocean Runner and getting some great feedback from the community, Greedy Genius is preparing to launch a new low-cut version of their boat-inspired shoe.

Properly titled the Ocean Runner Low, the shoes feature all the same aesthetics that made it’s kin one of the most desirable models in the Greedy Genius lineup. Seen here in a tonal black finish sporting a waxed canvas upper with leather trim, leather laces and a sticky rubber sole to match, the Ocean Runner Low looks just as promising as the high top version and will without a doubt be just as popular, if not more popular among the consumers.

No official release date has been announced for the Greedy Genius Ocean Runner Low at this time, but Hypebeast has been nice enough to supply us with a little preview while informing us that they’ll be part of Greedy’s Summer 2010 Collection.

Greedy Genius Ocean Runner “Cognac Brown”

Earlier today we got the seal of approval from Greedy Genius to beginning showing you some of the new products they designed to takeover the sneaker game this coming Summer. We kicked things off with the Brutus, a chukka-meets-hiking boot for the adventurous type who are looking for something just as fashionable on the streets as on the trails.

Continuing with our look into the forthcoming’s from the Summer 2010 Collection from Greedy Genius we now present to you a brand new Ocean Runner that’s getting ready to raise sail and ship out. While the Ocean Runner isn’t an entirely new model to the Greedy Genius line, having been introduced late last year, the street smart boat-shoe is one that should never be over looked regardless of it’s age. The style shown here is dubbed Cognac Brown and just like all the other Ocean Runners, this one is masterly created using exceptional materials. The tonal brown finish throughout the upper is composed from vintage leather and embossed nubuck, and then paired with a white midsole to add some balance to the shoes.

An official release for the Greedy Genius Ocean Runner “Cognac Brown” is scheduled for June 1st, 2010, at which time a few other new Ocean Runners will also be releasing.

Greedy Genius “Brutus”

If you recall, back in February we posted some exclusive images of a few new styles produced by Greedy Genius. In fact, the photos were so exclusive that top brass at Greedy Genius started questioning us, wanting to know where exactly we managed to get our hands on the photos. Photos which at the time had yet to be released outside the Greedy camp. At their request we removed the photos and awaited for their approval to unveil them to the masses.

Thankfully, we’ve been given the green light to follow up on one of the very models previewed back then, the Greedy Genius “Brutus”. Looking to expand their range of footwear, Greedy Genius produced the Brutus as a new hiking boot geared for the mountaineers who like to spend a little time surrounded by mother nature. Shown here in two color options, the Brutus uses nothing but the finest in premium materials. One version is seen consisting of a Black/Red color scheme with textured leather and caviar leather throughout the upper, while the other carries a Olive/Brown colorup with the same leather base joined with waxed coated canvas.

At this time there’s no official release date for the Greedy Genius “Brutus”, but we do know they’re part of the brands Spring/Summer 2010 Collection so it shouldn’t be to much longer before they begin to hit distributors.

European Exclusive Greedy Genius Ocean Runners Hit The US

The Greedy Genius Ocean Runners which were released earlier this year as a European Exclusive are no longer such a thing.

After their hugely anticipated release last year on Black Friday, Greedy Genius announced earlier this year that the they would be releasing a lineup of three Ocean Runner Mid’s exclusively through their European distributors. In a total of three color options – blue, red and black – the Ocean Runners feature a ballistic nylon upper sitting atop a vulcanized sole unit.

As luck has it, the European Exclusive Ocean Runners have managed to somehow work their way across the Atlantic. Spotted over at DrJays are all three of the nylon Greedy Genius Ocean Runners. There’s a full-size run too, with each colorway retailing for $55. If you saw these earlier this year and were a little bummed you weren’t gonna be available to get a pair due to their exclusive status, worry no more.

Greedy Genius Ocean Runner LO

Late last year in 2009 Greedy Genius caught the attention of sneakerheads worldwide with the release of the Ocean Runner, a fresh and casual boat shoe unlike many of the extremely low cut models on the market. As we already know the Ocean Runner’s are set to return this year in a lineup of new colorways and materials, but what we’ve just learned now is that the brand will also be introducing the Ocean Runner LO this Summer.

The Ocean Runner LO features a lower cut then the originals, but yet isn’t as low as say a pair of Timberland Cruisemaster’s. Waxed canvas uppers construct the colorways shown here – navy, brown, chocolate and black – with each also consisting of waxed laces. Sitting pretty below the tonal uppers are white sole units on three of the four models, with a black sole on the black version to give them that all black everything feel.

Greedy Genius Ocean Runner Europe Exclusive

In the five short month’s it’s been on the market the Ocean Runner by Greedy Genius has maintained healthy sales and is quickly becoming one of the brand’s flagship models. The shoes originally hit the market last year on Black Friday with an initial release of 7 colorways, and as part of their upcoming Spring Collection the Ocean Runners will return in a number of new styles, including a lineup which will be a European Exclusive.

Seen here two pairs of Ocean Runner’s which are reported to be upcoming releases which will only touch down in Europe. Available in blue or red, the Ocean Runner’s feature a tonal upper constructed from ballistic nylon with subtle accents of white on the rubber sole unit and shoelaces. Don’t get salty on the fact these will only release across the pond cause from what we’ve seen Greedy has a few US bound Ocean Runner’s coming our way soon.
