DunkXchange In Washington D.C. September 21, 2008
DunkXChange is visiting Washington DC September 21, 2008 from 1pm to 5pm at Club Avenue. The address is 649 New York Ave. NW, Washington D.C. No discrimination by age, only a $10 cover fee. Included in the cover fee, you can bring in 3 pairs of shoes to trade or sell.
DunkXChange Detroit – September 11
DunkXChange is coming to Detroit tomorrow, September 11 from 6pm to 12pm midnight at St. Andrews Hall. Because of the significance of the date, this DunkXChange will have a special theme. In order to pay homage to those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001, DunkXChange will donate a portion of the entrance fee to the 9/11 relief fund.
A special shoe auction will also be taking place tomorrow featuring 2 custom-made sneakers designed and created by Rebel Aire. Both shoes will be tributes to fallen hip hop artists, Jay Dilla and Proof of D12. Canvas artwork will be included with the purchase of both sneakers. The money earned from the auction will go to the charities of the artists’ choice.
This is clearly a particularly special event given the significance. People are asked to support the charities and have a good time tomorrow, September 11. For your enjoyment, there will be musical acts.

TTK at Just For Kicks 8/29/08
Over the weekend Just For Kicks held an event in Brooklyn, NY at Southpaw. The night was included with some dope performances, free giveaways, tons of sneakers and of course some of todays top artists doing their thing live on the spot. One of the artists who was on hand at the Just For Kicks event was TTK who youve seen featured on the site many times. Being the sociable guy he is he just couldnt sit there and paint while a show was going on, so instead of painting the whole time he BS’ed with the fans and took a couple pictures with them. A lot of folks were feeling his Barack Obama Shoes as you can see by all the pictures with fans holding them. After the jump is over 20 shots taken at the event curiosity of TTK, check em out.
DunkXChange San Francisco August 30-31st
The DunkXChange will be making a stop in San Francisco California August 30 and 31st. August 30th the DunkXChange and ActiveMailOrder will be throwing a skate jam which will go down at Petrero Del Sol Skate park(25th st, Petrero San Francisco, CA). The day will be filled with a free skate session for all those who attend, giveaways and games of Skate for everybody to take part in. The person with the best trick of the day will get a special grand prize provided by Supra, DXC, Rebel Aire, and Activemailorder.
The actual DunkXChange event will take part on August 31st at City Nights (715 Harrison st, San Francisco, CA). The show will run from 1pm to 6pm and the doors will be open to people of all ages. Ticket price at the door will be $10 a head. Just like your usual DunkXChange events youll have live DJs, giveaways and tons of product to buy, sell or trade. If your in the SF area make sure you head on out.
Sneaker Wars 2008
If you think you have some of the sickest sneakers in your collection here is yours chance to try and win a spot to show them off. Top of the World and Kapacity, in collaboration with Supra Footwear and LRG, present Sneakers Wars 08′. The event is pretty much a sneaker battle which will go down June 12th in Ottawa, Canada at Babylon Nightclub. However instead of having hundreds show up for a chance to win you must submit your entires online. You send in some shots of your collection and your most prized pieces in your collection, along with a short description. From there 3 finalists will be contacted and invited to attended Sneaker Wars 08′ with only their Top 3 sneakers. Each finalists will have to set up a display at Sneaker Wars to show off their sneakers and they will be judge on their presentation to the crowd. 1 final winner after judging will recieve a nice special package from Supra and LRG/Luxurie. If you think you have what it takes and you live around the Ottawa area, or are willing to make the troop if your a winner, send your entires to kapacity@gmail.com. All entires must be received by June 8th in order to be eligible. Good luck to those who enter.
Event: A Rare Night Out
Rare Air Shoes presents a sneaker event coming soon called “A Rare Night Out”. Melbourne Australias premier online sneaker shop will have a gallery showing of over 200 rare, limited edition and OG sneakers for you to drool over. Among the sneakers on display will be Player Exclusives, Air Jordans, LA Gear, Puma, New Balance and sneakers from just about every other company out there, along with some sports apparel and collectibles. Many of these sneakers will also be on sale so if your an Aussie local be sure to bring you wallet. The event goes down at Lab X starting on Thursday May 8th and runs until the 16th of May.
