Sole Junkie Book Release Party
Before we finish taking a look at the rest of the Nike x Lance Armstrong ‘Stages’ Collection i wanted to post a little plug here for our friend Sole Junkie. Sole Junkie has been featured here on Sneaker Obsession a few times before with his custom sneakers, such as the Iron Man Air Force Ones. We are proud to say after all the years of hard work Sole Junkie has put into his custom sneakers and artwork he has finally gotten his own book. The hard cover book tells you about the artist Sole Junkie and gives you a look at 40 custom sneakers he has created, all for just $24.95.
If you happen to live out on the West Coast, around the LA area, Sole Junkie and a few friends are throwing a release party for the Sole Junkie Book. One of the best parts about the release party, besides for getting to meet the artist and jam out to some sick beats provided by DJ Ape, there will be FREE BREE provided by Red Stripe Beer. Stevie DV, Jay and Phiton Nguyen will also be on hand to show off some artwork to those in attendance. Its sure to be a good time so if your in the area make sure you stop by for a little while.
Our props go to Sole Junkie as well on the book release, its much deserved homie, congratulations.
Video: NY Magazine at Sneaker Con
A crew from NY Magazine was in attendance at Sneaker Con to film some footage for all those who couldnt make it out to the event. While there the crew from NY Magazine talked with a bunch of sneakerheads at the show including people like DJ Clark Kent, Mayor and Stash. People talked about the most theyve spent on sneakers, how many sneakers they have in their collection and the craziest things they have done for a pair of sneakers. All Day even mentions having 5,000 pairs and a separate apartment to keep them in.
If you missed the event its a shame cause Sneaker Con defiantly put on an event to be talked about for awhile. Check out the video above.
Sneaker Bistro ‘Cans For Kicks’ Food Drive
The good folks at Sneaker Bistro have put together a great project to help the less fortunate this Holiday Season. Around this time of year many of us demand presents and gifts which a lot of us come to find Christmas morning, however there are a lot of families out there going through tough times right now who wont have much of a Christmas at all.
Sneaker Bistro put together the ‘Cans For Kicks’ Food Drive which asks people to donate non-perishable food items. Theres a catch a though, and a good one at that too. Those who do donate an item will be given a raffle ticket for a chance to win a pair of sneakers from Sneaker Bistro. Not only that but you can have 10 chances to win, if you supply 10 products, 1 ticket for each item. 10 raffle tickets is the max but thats not to say you can drop off more food items. The winner of the sneakers will be announced via the Sneaker Bistro blog on the December 22nd. All the items collected will be donated to the Lighthouse Mission in Patchogue.

DunkXChange – Honolulu, Hawaii October 25th
October 25th the Dunkxchange is going to be paying a visit to the folks living the island life out in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Dunkxchange event will take place at O Lounge in Honolulu, and will start at 1pm. The cost to get in will only be a cheap $10 too. This is the first time the Dunkxchange has paid a visit to the island for an event so expect big things such as giveaways from In4mation, LRG, Bobby Fresh, and a special edition collaboration shirt from Dunkxchange and Bobby Fresh. Remember this all goes down on the 25th of October, so if your Honolulu, Hawaii native make sure you head out to O Lounge for the event.

DC Shoes x Atmos – New York / Tokyo Pack Release Party
In honor of the upcoming release of the DC Shoes x Atmos – New York/Tokyo Pack the 2 companies will host a release party at the Atmos NYC location. Music will be provided by DJ Cipha Sounds of Hot97 and DJ Aaron Lacrate. The release party starts at 8pm and ends around 11pm.
