SneakerPimps NYC – June 26th 2009
Towards the end of this month the SneakerPimps will be making its official stop in NYC as part of its US Tour. Terminal 5 on 56th St will host the event which will include live performances by Big Boi, Clipse, Wale, The Cool Kids, DJ Clark Kent and more. There will be a ton of artists on hand to put together projects right infront of your eyes, such as our boy Van Monroe and TTK. The Zoo York skate team will be on hand to put together a like skate demo and for all the gamers out there the XBox 360 Battle Royal will also be going down.
Tickets are available now at Ticketmaster for a pre-sale price of $25. Doors open at 8pm. Make sure you head out earlier though if you plan on attending cause its going to get nuts!!
Big Boi Talks About Fake Sneakers At Sneaker Pimps ATL Event
Here it is folks, Big Boi speaks out about the little issue that went down at the recent Sneaker Pimps event in Atlanta. By now im sure majority of you have heard about how Big Boi performed at the Sneaker Pimps ATL event and stepped out on stage in some suspect Air Jordans. The blogs went crazy over the fact that somebody like Big Boi who is known to have a pretty intense sneaker collection would even be caught dead in a fake pair of Jordans or sneakers of any kind.

Sneaker Pimps Miami – May 30th, 2009
Sneaker Pimps continues their 2009 USA Tour hitting up Miami next on May 30th, 2009.
The event will go down at The Moore Building and will feature some big name performers such as Clipse, The Cool Kids and DJ Clark Kent. During the event the XBox 360 Battle Royal will be taking place as well as a live artist installation by Tokidoki, a BBoy Battle and a Sneaker Battle. Doors open at 8pm and tickets are available now for a pre-sale price of $15 at Sneakerpimps.
Sneaker Pimps in Atlanta, Georgia – May 15th 2009
Just a few days ago Sneaker Pimps was in Los Angeles to kick off their 2009 US Tour and now the event is headed on over to the East Coast to pay a visit. In just a two weeks Sneaker Pimps will be hitting up Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia. Things are gonna get crazy too, as they usually do. This time though i think people are gonna go a little bit wild, specially with guests apperances by Big Boi from Outkast, Greg Street and DJ Clark Kent. There will be a few artists on hand putting together some killer artwork right before your eyes and the XBOX 360 Battle Royal will also be taking place during the event.
The doors open at 8pm and all ages are welcome to attend. Tickets will run you $20 a pop at TabernacleATL.
Sneaker Pimps in Los Angeles – May 1st 2009
Next month on May 1st Sneaker Pimps will be kicking off the 2009 USA Tour with the first stop hitting Los Angeles. Starting at 8pm on May 1st Sneaker Pimps will take over Vanguard on Hollywood BLVD in Los Angeles, California. On hand will be DJ Clark Kent, Cypress Hill, Young MC, House of Pain and many artists and celebrities. As always there will also be plenty of live artist installations to get things going too.
If your in the Cali area head out to LA to kick off the tour with Sneaker Pimps and stay tuned for further details about the tour hitting a state near you soon.
Sole Junkie Book Release Party
Before we finish taking a look at the rest of the Nike x Lance Armstrong ‘Stages’ Collection i wanted to post a little plug here for our friend Sole Junkie. Sole Junkie has been featured here on Sneaker Obsession a few times before with his custom sneakers, such as the Iron Man Air Force Ones. We are proud to say after all the years of hard work Sole Junkie has put into his custom sneakers and artwork he has finally gotten his own book. The hard cover book tells you about the artist Sole Junkie and gives you a look at 40 custom sneakers he has created, all for just $24.95.
If you happen to live out on the West Coast, around the LA area, Sole Junkie and a few friends are throwing a release party for the Sole Junkie Book. One of the best parts about the release party, besides for getting to meet the artist and jam out to some sick beats provided by DJ Ape, there will be FREE BREE provided by Red Stripe Beer. Stevie DV, Jay and Phiton Nguyen will also be on hand to show off some artwork to those in attendance. Its sure to be a good time so if your in the area make sure you stop by for a little while.
