Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Chirping Bird’ – More Pictures

Some of you may recall the Chirping Bird Nike SB Dunks we showed you last month. The sneakers included the use of a mechanism in the tongue which when pressed made the sound of a chirping bird. At the time we only had two preview pictures and a video clip allowing us to hear the chirping bird.
Now thanks to SN we have a few more detailed photos of the sneakers giving us a much better look at the kicks. The shoes use a black denim upper along with a black patent leather Nike Swoosh. White is included on the heel tab, tongue tag and on the mid-sole, while red finds its way to the outsole and Nike branding on the tongue tag and heel panel. The inner lining of the sneakers sports a black furry lining and the insoles have a white base with some sort of red design that we cant make out at this time.
There is still no available release date this time but a size 9 sample has become available on eBay. Stay tuned for more details regarding the Chirping Bird Nike SB Dunk Lows and click here to check out more detailed photos and the original video allowing you to hear the chirping bird feature.
Nike SB November 2009 Releases – Preview

We still have two weeks until November rolls around but as always we are gonna take a little peek at some of next months Nike SB releases. The Nike SB November 2009 Releases from what we know at this time will consist of the Bloody Gums Nike SB Dunk High Premium, a Nike SB Dunk Low Premium constructed from orange leather and sail hemp, a Nike SB Dunk High sporting the infamous Gucci colorway and a Nike SB Dunk Low made from suede in a obsidian and black colorway.
The Gucci SB Dunk part of the Nike SB November 2009 Releases is not to be confused with the DJ Clark Kent Gucci Dunks in the Nike Rivalry Pack. The pair DJCK designed featured ostrich leather where as the pair part of the November 2009 releases uses denim. The sneakers are a design which Girl Skateboards designed with Nike SB back in 2005, but due to a contract with Lakai at the time the project was squashed. Nike SB is however bringing the sneakers back with RESN included on the tongue tag which is meant as a shout to Sam Smyth who use to tag RESN all over the Bay Area when he was rollin with the IBC crew.

Colette x Reebok Pump

This year Reebok celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the Reebok Pump, a sneaker which introduced a brand new feature to the sneaker industry 20yrs ago which allowed consumers to tighten up the overall fit of the sneakers on the fly based on their needs. To celebrate this timeless sneaker, and its history, Reebok is taking the Pump putting together a lineup of releases which collaborations from 20 boutiques throughout the world.
One of the first previews to come along is a Reebok Pump designed by Colette, the only boutique native to France that was selected for the project. For their version of the Reebok Pump Colette designed the upper using heather grey (sweatshirt material) accented with royal blue highlights. The white laces feature a blue splatter design, as does a portion of the heel. Royal blue accents also appear on the outsole, inner lining and to the Reebok Pump unit. Other then a hanging rubber tag there doesnt seem to be any other Colette branding on the sneakers which keeps them simple and straight to the point.

WMNS Nike Dunk High ‘Hyper Blue’

Arriving not at retailers across the pond such as Essense is the WMNS Nike Dunk High ‘Hyper Blue’. This Dunk High features an entirely blue colorway with the front half and back half made up of hyper blue leather. The mid-panels feature an interesting woven like nylon pattern which appears to change from different shades of blue depending on the direction of light. The only hit of a secondary color other then blue comes in the form of white Nike branding on the tongue tag.

Nike SB October 2009 Quickstrike Releases

Thanks to Premier, we have just gotten a confirmation on what the Nike SB October 2009 Quickstrike Releases are. The month of October brings us two quickstrikes, one of which we knew about for quite some time, the Nike SB ‘Brain Wreck’ Dunk Premium designed in collaboration with Todd Bratrud. Alongside those is the Blood Splatter Nike SB Blazer Premium, a model which have folks have dubbed “Count Dracula”.
Out of the two the Brain Wreck Dunks have to be my personal favorite not just due to the smooth lookin colorways but because of the stitching on the inner lining which was done to look as if its a brain. Quality detailing like that really helps to wrap up the theme of the sneakers.

Nike SB ‘Blood Red Griptape’ Dunk Mid

Although not seen in the lineup of Nike SB October 2009 Releases its said this pair of Nike SB Dunks are part of this months releases. The SB Dunk Mid has been dubbed ‘Blood Red Griptape’ due to its similarities to the Griptape SB Dunks which dropped back in 2007. The only difference here is that the grey accents on the SB branding on the strap and on the laces which appeared on the originals back in ‘07 has been swapped with blood red. Other then that the Dunks are exactly the same and honestly speaking seem to be a waste due to being almost an exact replica to a previous release.
The sneakers are available now at select Nike SB retailers such as Premier.
