DC x Real Skateboards Spring 2010 Collection

For DC Spring 2010 Nick Dompierre brings his relationship with one of the most respected hardgoods brands in the industry, REAL Skateboards to DC. The collaboration, made up of footwear and apparel, marks the first time DC has collaborated with a board company.
The project features the REAL Crew shoe, which unites the two skate brands on one of DC’s top performance skateboarding shoes. The REAL Crew shoe is loaded with performance skate shoe technologies to include: gore tongue straps, soft terry lining, medial wall support, triple-stitched top caps, M-D performance insole, dual lasting board construction, Super Suede™, DGT™ (Dynamic Grip Technology) and standard skate wrap cup sole. Aesthetically, the REAL logo hit was added to the heel area of the shoe, in a black and red colorway.
For the first time in the skate category, DC is complimenting the REAL Crew with an apparel pack. The Wrenched zip hoodie and Wrenched t-shirt both feature DC and REAL logos and include a graphic from an iRoc Z, Nick’s car of choice for his favorite hobby, drag racing. Look out for a special board graphic from REAL this spring that ties together the DC collaboration.

DC Life x Sixpack – Double Label Project 3rd Installment

For its third and final in a series of Double Label collaborations, DC Life has teamed with influential French store and brand Sixpack for Spring/Summer 2010 featuring designs from graphic artist PMKFA. The third installment of the DC Life x Sixpack Double Label Project consists of men’s footwear, apparel and accessories. This premier collaboration launched with its first Double Label Project in Fall 2009, second in Holiday 2009 and final for Spring 2010.
The theme for the collaboration, “We are Six Feet Ahead, Never Under,” signifies the inspiration and interpretation of the progressive authentic graphics for the collection. PMKFA, a member of the Sixpack collective, is an independent graphic designer from Sweden (based in Tokyo), art director for furniture brand Vujj and co-founder/designer of T-shirt label, “It’s Our Thing.”
Sober and monochromatic, the designs by PMKFA for the DC and Sixpack Double Label Project lure you into its psychedelic insides. Patterns are based on both the obvious and the not-soobvious elements of street culture. Turn the shoe upside down and get an insight in PMKFA’s vision of street-entrepreneurship, taking lessons from 90’s hip hop and the idea that life is like a chess game: creativity, the need to always stay sharp, and the goal of making your next move your best move.
Rooted in graffiti and influenced by indie rock, pop, and electronic, Sixpack began in 1998 as a hodgepodge creative effort among friends, which initially didn’t appear to add up to much. Over the past 10 years, Sixpack has created a platform of artists and designers whom have helped shape a highly respected music, art and culture brand. Two distinctive DC silhouettes, the Admiral and Sector 7, were recruited for this collection. Offered in cement colorways, both shoes are detailed with custom Sixpack patterns and logos, and trimmed with full-grain leather. Clear soles on both shoes are underlain with the Sixpack designed imagery for the collection.
The third DC x Sixpack Double Label collection will be available at select boutiques worldwide for Spring 2010. Along with the two sneakers there will also be two t-shirts and a New Era fitted which are released. For a closer look at the two sneakers in the collaboration please follow the jump or click here.
DC BMX TeamWorks Collection – Spring 2010

For Spring/Summer 2010 DC is pleased to introduce its latest BMX TeamWorks Collection, featuring three exciting packs for three of DC’s top BMX team riders— Corey Bohan, Edwin Delarosa, and Daniel Dhers. Each pack includes footwear, apparel, hats, and a BMX glove—the first-ever to be offered from DC.
Created to honor top members on DC’s team and their incredible riding heritages, each rider was included in all aspects of the design process for their packs. The packs reflect the distinct personality and style of the riders, and provide subtle insights into the rider. The BMX TeamWorks Collection is not only performance driven and tactically superior, but also features colorways and designs that represent three BMX riders at the top of their game.
Besides being one of the top dirt riders on the scene, and with five straight NORA cups to prove it, Corey Bohan lives to have fun and likes to celebrate when his hard work pays off. When creating his second BMX TeamWorks pack the Australian native looked to his favorite American beverage for design inspirations for his pack. “The Good Times” print can be found in black and whiskey brown colors on the brown Tactic CB shoe shown on the top left.
Edwin Delarosa is a proud New York City native, so it seemed natural for Brooklyn to be the design inspiration for his pack. Representing his hood and the streets he loves to ride, Delarosa worked with designers on the Tactic Mid ED (sneaker on the bottom) putting together a black and red colorway with his hometowns boroughs name printed across the heel of the sneakers.
Born and raised in Venezuela, Daniel Dhers grew up riding the streets and parks of his local stomping grounds. Now living in the US the BMX superstar has won almost every BMX contest out there. To pay homage to his home country and roots, Dhers chose Venezuela as his BMX TeamWorks design inspiration. The red, blue and yellow colors of the Venezuelan flag can be seen on the heel of his Character DD shoe as well as on the sole.
The DC TeamWorks program was created in 2005 to give DC’s top riders the opportunity to customize their favorite DC products. Riders choose the materials and colors to reflect their tastes, riding styles, and personalities. Since the projects inception, DC has created TeamWorks Collections with athletes on its Global Skate Team, Motocross Team and Rally Team.
The BMX TeamWorks packs will be available in retail stores Spring 2010.

DC Life ‘Admiral Sport’ – More Pictures

We already took a look at the upcoming Admiral Sport from DC Life but apparently our friends over at DC forgot to include a few pictures so therfore we provide you with another look at the sneakers. The Admiral Sport is a revamped model of the Admiral, a model which has quickly become the staple for DC Life. This new revamped version uses the same style paneling throughout the upper however the cut of the sneakers is somewhat lower compared to the original Admiral. The ankle on the upper has been cut down a tad bit while the tongue however remains the same extending it up quite a ways past the top of the sneaker. Theres also the addition of a strap on the heel. The design of the Admiral Sport, with its large tongue, is perfect for those who like to rock their pants with the tongue sticking out.
