DC Landau S “Bondo” – DC Skate “Common Bond” Series

Over the years, skateboarding has become a universal language. For many it’s what ties otherwise unlikely people together, forging a brotherhood between groups of people who normally wouldn’t associate with each other had it not been for their common bond of skateboarding.

With that being said, DC Shoes is pleased to introduce the Landau S “Bondo”, the second installment in the DC Skate “Common Bond” Series. This particular version of the low-top Landau S is inspired by Bondo, a two-part putty that’s original intent was to be used to repair body damage on cars. With its fast drying durability, skateboarders adopted Bondo to repair cracks and ledges at their skate spots. The Landau’s Grey colorway represents the color of Bondo before it’s mixed. DC used a premium cracked suede full grain leather on the Landau to replicate concrete, and red swirls on the sole of the shoe to represent when hardener is mixed in with Bondo. Traditional DC Super Suede is featured on the toecap to finish off the shoe, helping it to last longer and skate better.

The Landau S “Bondo” is a limited release available through DC’s webstore and select distributors.

DC LIFE Merge TX – New Model For Summer 2011

DC Shoes is proud to introduce the Merge TX as part of the DC LIFE Summer 2011 Collection. This new low-top silhouette with its clean lines and classic styling would make a perfect addition to any summer wardrobe. The Merge TX features a lightweight chambray and canvas upper above an abrasion-resistant sticky rubber outsole. DC’s trademarked “Pill” pattern appears along the top line of the side wall tape as a tonal application. The sneakers are previewed here in two colorways which will soon be available at select DC LIFE retailers.

DC LIFE District 4

Continuing to expand their range of footwear with each passing season, DC LIFE presents the newly developed District 4 as part of their Spring 2011 collection. Inspired by the Reality, Danny Way’s signature pro model from 2002, the sneakers feature a slick silhouette constructed from soft resilient full grain leather and premium suede which rests atop a durable vulcanized sole unit with a stick gum outsole. A hidden lacing system with nylon lace loops helps to maintain the smooth, clean-cut look of the upper, while foam padding in the tongue and collar provide the comfort and protection you’ve come to expect from DC Shoes. For the launch of the District 4, DC LIFE is releasing three color options – Black, Military Green and Blue – each priced at $85. Rob Dyrdek x DC Life Royal – Fall/Winter 2010

Rob Dyrdek likes to keep it in the family. For the second time this year, the DC Shoes poster child steps out on his own line of signature skate shoes and gets together with DC’s second-half, DC Life, to create two new colorways of their Royal silhouette. Following the Red and Black pair’s the two released this past summer, the fall season brings us one pair in Royal Blue/White with a patent leather and nylon construction and another in built from a combination of suede, leather and patent leather in a Grey/Lime Green colorway. Marking his work, Rob’s name appears on the DC logo’s on the tongue and heel. Both sneakers available now at select DC Life retailers, such as Standard in Atlanta.

DC LIFE “Please Stand By” Pack

“Our grandfather read the newspaper, our dad watched the news, and we tweet. Analog is dead…Though the fear is evident, what if the internet died? Would people be ok and or as patient as past generations were upon being asked to “Please Stand By…”? That’s the the unusual notion thought this new pack from DC LIFE. Cleverly titled the “Please Stand By”, the two-sneaker pack is inspired by the era when TV was the fastest way for people to learn what was going on around the world. DC’s Sector 7 SE and Admiral SE model’s lead the way in the pack, both of which feature leather and suede mixed uppers with TV inspired graphics, including black and white static, SMPTE color bars and a “Please Stand By” message.

The DC LIFE “Please Stand By” Pack is scheduled to release on December 4th, 2010, during the conclusion of Art Basel in Miami. A look at the Sector 7 SE follows below.

Hotel on Rivington x DC LIFE Cadet Chukka

DC and New York’s Hotel on Rivington rekindle their relationship with these new Cadet Chukka’s. Produced exclusively for the hotel, this is the 6th time DC has worked with the staff of the trendy lower east side hotspot to provide them with their own signature footwear. Past sneakers include the DC LIFE Sector 7, Dress Sneaker, Admiral, Admiral Sport, and the Ensign. For the Cadet Chukka, DC constructed the upper from a combination of full grain leather and silky suede and sat it on top of a white sole unit with bold lettering of “HOTEL ON RIVINGTON” etched along the side of it.

As mentioned, these have been produced exclusively for the staff at Hotel on Rivington and will not be releasing to the public. More detailed photos of the sneakers do follow after the jump though for your viewing pleasure.

DC Life Fall/Winter 2010 Releases @ Standard

Atlanta-based retailer Standard just received a couple new releases belonging to the DC Life Collection. Available is a Admiral TX SE in a color labeled as Battleship, the TX standing for it’s textile constructed upper, a Admiral SE built from a mixture of leather and nubuck in a Military Green and Orange colorway, and a Cadet Chukka in Brown suede and Black patent leather. Prices haven’t been listed but general retail for each pair is $90 and $110, with the Admiral SE carrying the higher sticker price. If any of the new styles catch your eye, swing through Standard now to pick a pair up or give them a ring to place an order.

DC Life Lieutenant WR

Unless you happen to be living the island life or in some of the warmer parts of the US, before you know it we’ll be enduring a cold, snowy winter. As sneaker enthusiasts, it’s a time a year when we have to say goodbye to most of our nicer sneakers which we wouldn’t dare put through the winter elements and break out our beaters and boots. To help you beat the winters while ensuring you still have a level of freshness, DC Life debuts a new addition to their lineup with the introduction of the Lieutenant WR, a rugged yet stylish boot inspired by some of their previous models. The upper, constructed from a combination of black waxed leather and military-grade nylon, displays a heavy influence to the highly popular DC Admiral with a few modifications made to make it winter appropriate. On the bottom end of the Lieutenant WR you’ll notice the sole of the brand’s Versatile Hi, all included with the air-bubble cushioning and beefed up to provide plenty of traction.

DC Stock “Athletic Red”

DC Shoes has dropped a new colorway of the Rob Dyrdek designed DC Stock, adding to the White and Black pair’s that previously released back in July. This time the DC Stock appears in Athletic Red on a soft, suede covered base. DC logo’s on the tongue, heel, and side of the upper all sport a hit of Black, as does the inner lining and included laces. A White cupsole is accented by two thin pinstripes in Red and Black while DC’s signature “Pill” tread is applied to the sticky rubber outsole. Look for em now at select DC Shoe distributors, including Zappos.

Rob Dyrdek x DC Royal – Another Look

Originally shown in a Black colorway a couple weeks ago, here we have two DC Royal’s from the lifestyle division of DC Shoes that have been personally designed by their golden child, Mr. Rob Dyrdek. Rob stepped outside his own signature collection under the DC umbrella to take the lead at co-signing a pair of Royal’s. To go along with the previously shown pair in Black, Rob put together which not only differs from the other in color, but also in material. Where as the Black pair uses patent leather and ballistic mesh, this brighter Red version ditches the mesh for a buttery smooth suede. To top it off, a dab of White was added to the ankle strap and Rob’s signature was printed below the DC hits on the tongue and heel.

Both pairs are available now through DC’s webstore for $100 a piece.
