DC Shoes FMX Bike

Now this is pretty interesting. Extreme sports superstar Travis Pastrana, and Ken Block, co-founder of DC Shoes have come up with this interesting innovation known as the DC Shoes FMX Bike. This interesting creation takes one of Travis’ FMX bikes and replaces its rubber tires with a custom setup consisting of numerous DC Shoes. The DC Shoes FMX Bike has been put together for an episode of Travis’ hit MTV series ‘Nitro Circus’ where Travis is seen riding and literally destroying the sneakers.

Hotel on Rivington x DC LIFE Admiral Sport

DC has teamed up with the Hotel on Rivington in New York yet again for a limited edition of the DC LIFE Admiral Sport. Produced exclusively for the hotel staff, this is the fourth time DC has laced the staff with shoes from the DC LIFE Collection. The previous three models have been the Sector 7, Dress Sneaker, and the OG Admiral.
A luxury boutique hotel, the Hotel on Rivington collaborates with international cutting-edge designers to celebrate creative energy and create a venue from which the world can experience all of downtown Manhattan. The DC LIFE Admiral Sport for Hotel on Rivington compliments the staff’s Ted Baker London apparel.
The model has been customized with an upper featuring a combo of smooth black leather upper and black perforated leather. Laser etched across the white mid-sole of the Admiral Sport is “HOTEL ON RIVINGTON”, a design treatment that pays homage to the iconic side-wall bold DCSHOECOUSA lettering. A special red strap, a key color from the hotel, completes the custom shoe.
The Admiral Sport is part of the Spring 2010 DC LIFE Collection and will be available beginning in January 2010 at select DC LIFE retailers and through the DC online store. Click here now to check out more pictures of the Hotel on Rivington x DC LIFE Admiral Sport.

If you’ve been following along for the past few weeks you will have noticed we have been providing you with plenty of previews of whats to come as part of the DC Shoes and DC Life Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. Not all that long ago we posted an image of a Fluorescent Lime Admiral TX, a sneaker which was spotted in the Spring/Summer 2010 catalog and one which many of you on Twitter expressed some love for. Our sources at DC have just informed us that the sneakers will not be releasing in 2010 and instead are part of the Holiday 2009 Collection and one of two shoes part of the Hi-Visibility Pack.
The DC Life ‘Hi-Visibility’ Pack features the previously shown Admiral TX as well as a Xander TX. The two sneakers each sport uppers constructed of tough and unique ballistic nylon in a bright fluorescent lime color. Competing with the fluorescent lime and trying to add a little accent to the sneakers are hits of grey and orange with a white sole unit.
No exact release date has been made available at this time but it has been confirmed the sneakers are part of the Holiday 2009 releases so watch for them to be made available at select DC Life retailers within the coming weeks.
