Converse Weapon Evo

Earlier this year Converse introduced the Weapon Evo, a revamped version of the Converse Weapon. Lately we have seen professional athletes such as Kirk Hinrich of the Chicago Bulls rocking the Weapon Evo in black/red.
Here we have some detailed pictures of the Converse Weapon Evo in two color schemes. One of the colorups, which is shown above, is done in white and maroon while the other (which is pictured after the jump) is white and orange. Both have a visible air unit at the heel and use patent leather for part of the construction of the upper. The Converse logo on the side also appears to be finished in some sort of mesh like material.
At this time we have no available release date information so keep it locked for further details.
Converse Weapon Rivalry Pack – Celtics vs. Lakers

During the 1980s the rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers was one of the biggest in history, and the inspiration behind this Converse Weapon Rivalry Pack. Magic Johnson from the Lakers and Larry Johnson from the Celtics both were endorsed by Coverse during their playing days and both wore the Coverse Weapon during the mid 80s.
To honor the rivalry between the Celtics and the Lakers, Bird and Johnson, Converse put together the Converse Weapon Rivalry Pack which includes a colorway of the Converse Weapon in the Celtics colors and the Lakers colors. The Boston Celtics colorway was laid out on a high-top version of the Converse Weapon while the Lakers black/purple/gold colorway lands itself on a low top version. Both have tongue tags which say ‘Weapresent’ which is also printed on the inner lining.
The Celtics vs Lakers Converse Weapon Rivalry Pack is limited to a total of 250 pairs worldwide and only available at select retailers such as Solebox.
Converse Weapon Skate Ox Low

A few days ago we announced that Converse was putting together a line of new skate shoes under the CoStar label when we showed you the Converse ‘Optium’ Skate Shoes. Another model which got the skateboarding treatment is the Converse Weapon Low. Converse put together three colorways of the Converse Weapon Skate OX Low, giving you a choice of either black, white or brown each of which retail between $64-$69 dollars. If you head over to Eastbay now you can pre-order either of the three colorways which will be shipped on March 20th 2009.
Follow the jump to check out more detailed pictures of the black colorway and a quick look at the other two colorups.
Converse Music Collection – Pink Floyd Pack

The Converse Music Collection continues this Spring after much success with the AC/DC, Metallica, and The Who models which have already been released. To continue along with the collection Converse designed a two Chuck Taylors and a Jack Purcell inspired by the legenedary group Pink Floyd.
Besides for their music Pink Floyd is very well known for their album artwork which has been seen on all sorts of appearal and collectibles over the years. With that being said Converse designed all three of the sneakers to have themes which related to two of the Pink Floyd album covers. On one of the Converse Chuck Taylor models, and Jack Purcell model, Converse used a design on the upper inspired by the “Dark Side Of The Moon” album cover. The other Chuck Taylor carries the artwork from the back of the “Wish You Were Here” album.
All three of these Pink Floyd inspired Converse sneakers should be hitting select retailers near you now, if not you can always swing over to the Converse website to grab a pair.
Converse ‘Optium’ Skate Shoes

In May 2009 Converse will be releasing a new line of skate shoes which will fall under the CoStar label. There will be a few different silhouettes releasing under the CoStar label throughout the year but the one we are featuring today is the Converse Optium. The low cut sneakers use simple color blocking on the upper combined with a thick vulcanized rubber sole like any good skate shoe has. CoStar branding is included on the tongue as well as on the heel with a rubber stamp. The insoles have a tag line from the CoStar label which reads “Steal The Show” with the CoStar logo beside it.
The white/black/blue and black/white/red colorways you see above, and which are pictured after the jump, will both be exclusive to FootLocker retailers.
