Converse x Kurt Cobain Spring 2010 Collection

Invoking the spirit of Kurt Cobain Converse will introduce four new sneakers into their Kurt Cobain Music Series Collection. The releases will consist of two Chuck Taylor Hi’s and two Chuck Taylor Lo’s.
A grey/black plaid pattern is applied to a pair of Lo’s and a pair of Hi’s with “Punk Rock Means Freedom” printed in black just above the sole unit. The other two sneakers sport unique designs from either with the Lo’s featuring a white upper with some sort of graphic included along the ankle and the other pair of Hi’s having a black finish with “Punk Rock Means Freedom” printed in white along the base of the upper.
We haven’t an exact release date at this time but thanks to HighSnobiety we have a few images giving us a look at the sneakers until they arrive at retailers. Click here to check em out.
Converse Weapon Hi ‘Polka Dot’

A couple months ago Converse introduced the Weapon Evo, a revamped model of their classic Weapon Hi, a model made famous by a campaign involving Larry Bird and Magic Johnston. Based off the original Weapon the Weapon Evo for the most part stuck to the same styling as the OG’s with the addition of the Converse Balls Technology.
Since the original Weapon is such a classic and was molding piece for the Weapon Evo Converse only did what was right and brought the OG Weapon back. There have been a few colorways to hit retailers so far but here we have what may just be the most outrageous model of the Weapon you will probably ever lay eyes on. The sneakers feature a completely white leather base which as you can see is accented with a polka dot pattern in red, red, yellow and blue. Yellow mesh is used on the inner lining and on the tongue, with the tongue tag finished in blue with yellow and red writing. The white mid-sole has pink Converse branding and green stitching with blue on the entire outsole.
Defiantly a wild pair of Converse Weapon’s, specially for a shoe from the 80s which always consisted of very basic team colorways. I’m not quite sure if these will are planned to release in the US or not but select retailers overseas such as Mita have the sneakers in stock now. If you wanna get a closer look click here.
Converse All-Star Strap Hi Leather

Time and time again Converse proves to us that the Chuck Taylor All-Star is a template which has unlimited possibilities. The sneaker has a very basic layout which makes the upper the perfect canvas for all sorts of designs and due to their long history in the footwear industry and their simple yet casual look the Chuck Taylor have achieved a huge fan base.
Looking to prove to us again that you can never expect what may happen next with the Chucks Converse introduces the Converse All-Star Strap Hi. Simply put its a Chuck Taylor with a dual ankle strap. The addition of the strap may be just enough to gain the attention of those who once never were big fans of the Chucks, however at the same time it could be just enough to push away the long time consumers who love their simply Chucks without a strap and without all the new technology included in sneakers today.
The Converse All-Star Strap Hi Leather is available now at select Converse Japan retailers. Click here to check out some images of a white and black versions. Via: Streething
Converse Weapon Evo ‘Lakers’ @ FinishLine

Finishline has just updated their online store with a two new colorways of the Converse Weapon Evo, one of them being this LA Lakers version which was a big hit on the original Converse Evo. Being an owner of a few pairs of the Weapon Evo i can defiantly vouch for its comfort. The innovative Converse Balls Technology which made its debut on the Weapon Evo provides plenty of cushioning and the overall fit of the sneakers are superb. I personal dont own the Lakers colorway but with this recent update to the FinishLine online store im defiantly about to cop a pair.

Converse x Staple x 1HUND(RED) Sea Star Mid

Earlier this year Jeff Staple and Converse designed and introduced the Sea Star Mid, a revamped model of the Sea Star Low. The sneakers were debuted with Jeff Staple’s signature Pigeon motif and sold out instantly when they hit the shelves.
Recently Converse reached out to Jeff again and asked him to revisit the Sea Star Mid design, this time for the Converse 1HUND(RED) Campaign presented by Converse which helps to save lives in Africa and fight the ever growing spread of AIDS in the country. In keeping with the whole (RED) theme, Jeff kept this version simple. The shoes feature a black upper with accents of white and red, red to replace the pink usually found on the pigeon themed sneakers such as the original Sea Star Mids. Same features as the earlier Pigeon version are all present and accounted for, besides for the actual pigeon branding on the tongue. You still have the Staple tag on the upper, the staple branded insoles and the Staple rubber stamp on the heel. Mid cut puffed out collar to provide plenty of comfort, warmth and protection (a design feature which Jeff made sure was included on the Sea Star Mid during the design phase). The Outsole features nautical inspired terms and the exterior of the collar is water resistant as well. Unfortunately there is no Pigeon branding on these
The new Converse 1HUND(RED) x Staple Design Sea Star will premiere October 8th, 2009 and be sold exclusively at Reed Space in New York City. Click here to get a closer look.
Converse Chuck Taylor Hi ‘Down Jacket’ Pack

For the colder months which are not far ahead of us Converse has put together a pack of Chuck Taylor Hi’s inspired by down jackets. Each of the sneakers have a construction on the patent leather uppers which consists of various diagonal panels which appear to be puffed up just like the a down jacket. We arent quite sure if there are actually feathers into the strips but its defiantly an interesting look and something different.
No news has been announced at this time on an official release but something leads up to believe they are a Converse Japan release for September 2009. Via: MashKulture
