Timberland Merge Roll Top Boots
Last week we had mentioned how the word on the web is that Timberland was tryin to make a comeback for themselves. Here at Sneaker Obsession we dont believe Timberland needs to make a comeback cause in our eyes they never went anywhere. When it comes to work boots Timberland goes hard and has been holding down the market for years, along with Red Wings. We will however agree that Timberland is trying to create designs which are more fashion forwarded then your regular ol’ 6″ work boots.
We recently showed you the Timberland Deck Boots and the Colette x Timberland 6″ Work Boots. Along with the Deck Boots another new model which Timberland introduced this season is the Merge Roll Top Boots which use a design tactic seen on a few other sneakers. So far Timberland has produced two colorways of the Merge Roll Top boots, one in the classic wheat color and another in white leather. Both of the boots have an ankle panel which rolls down and displays a snow flack pattern on the inner lining.

Jay-Z x Stash x Villa ‘Americana’ Boot
VILLA, Philadelphia’s premiere “make-me-look-good” retailer officially turned 20 years old this year. To celebrate the big 2-0 the crew at VILLA collaborated with Jay-Z, Udi Avshalom and Stash to produce a limited edition of the Americana Boot. Only 54 pairs (each box is numbered) will be available in the country, in either brown or black and the only place to get either of the two is at VILLA. Jay-Z, along with Udi, created the sneakers while Stash contributed to the project by hand drafting every box with a 20th Anniversary message. The boots themselves have been handmade in western Pennsylvania and are made with bison leather and a crepe-sole.
The Americana will be released on September 15 and retail for $200. Via: HighSnobiety
Air Jordan Spiz’ike Boot ‘Dark Cinder’
Finally we get our first look at some detailed photos of one of the highly talked about Air Jordan Spiz’ike Boots. The Spiz’ike which was originally design my Spike Lee but at this time we arent sure if Spike had in say in the design of the Spiz’ike boot. They do however carry over a lot of the key elements used on the original Spiz’ike design such as the triangular lace holders from the AJ4, the lace lock and mesh from the AJ5, and the tongue of the AJ6.
The Air Jordan Spiz’ike boot shown here has a dark cinder upper in a rich blend of nubuck and other leather finishes. Around the toe and the heel you have the every popular elephant print which was a popular feature on the Spiz’ike, or just about any other Air Jordan for that matter. The mid-sole is solid black and features a visible air unit in the heel and the outsole is identical to the original Spiz’ike, keeping the printed Jordan in the heel.

Timberland Deck Boots
A lot of folks seem to believe Timberland is trying to make a comeback, but we personally dont believe Timberland ever went anywhere in order to make a comeback. Regardless of the hype surrounding Nike Boots Timbs are still pretty popular when it comes to boots, atleast out here on the East Coast in NY they seem to be. We just looked a look at the Colette x Timberland 6″ Work Boots and now we have another look at a pair of brand new Timbs to hit the market, the Timberland Deck Boots. If your not into the whole rugged work boot look these new deck boots are a nice look and are actually pretty fashionable with sort of a casual look to them.
They are available now at select Timberland retailers such at Herring Shoes.
Crooks & Castles x Vans Moda Hi & Chukka
The other day we took a look at the Acapulco Gold x Vans Moda Hi and had mentioned they were part of an upcoming East vs West Pack which also included a pair of Vans designed by the Crooks & Castles team.
As it turns out Crooks & Castles also designed the new Moda Hi, as well as the Chukka Boot. Both of the shoes consist of an 100% black base with the Moda Hi featuring EPI leather and quilted leather and the Chukka Boot sporting EPI leather. The sneakers are set to release alongside the Moda Hi designed by Acapulco Gold sometime in March 2010.

colette x Timberland 6? Work Boots
Many may argue that Timberland has sort of fallen off when it comes to the fashion industry due to the popularity of Nike Boots and that the company is due for its demise when the Air Jordan Spiz’ike Boots roll around. Regardless of what you may have heard let it be known Timberland still has a really strong following in the industry and this newest collaboration goes to show for it.
Seen here are some preview images of the Timberland 6″ Work Boots which have been designed in collaboration with Colette. The boots use the classic wheat color tone accented with colette blue on the heel padding, contrast laces, and hang tag. Colette is printed across the tongue. The boots have a distressed work look implemented throughout them, sort of like the same style you would see included on all the vintage releases.
