Highsnobiety x Asics Gel Lyte III
After already having a very successful release with Nice Kicks and Culture Shoq DavidZ is gearing up to release the Highsnobiety x Asics Gel Lyte III, the third and final sneaker in Ronnie Fieg’s Asics Trilogy project. Ronnie teamed up David Fischer from Highsnobiety to design this Gel Lyte III sporting a patent leather and pig skin upper in an green and blue color scheme. The Highsnobiety logo is included on a pair of white insoles.
The Highsnobiety x Asics Gel Lyte III will be released on Black Friday, November 27th, 2009. Due to the fact Highsnobiety is an online publication and has a following worldwide they are giving back to their fans by releasing almost all the sneaker online, just like the other two releases from Nice Kicks and Culture Shoq. 200 pairs will go up for sale online at DavidZ.com starting at 10am, while 18 pairs will be available in-store at David Z from 8am. Retail price will be set at $105 USD.

Asics GT-II Tweed Pack
As part of their Holiday 2009 lineup Asics presents the GT-II Tweed Pack. The pack features two pairs of the Asics GT-II, one using a brown/green/orange colorway and another using a grey/purple/teal colorway. The brown/green/orange version consists of an upper made from nubuck and tweed while the purple version features leather and weed with laser engraved graphics on the black leather heel panel. Both of the sneakers are available now at The Good Will Out.

Gettry x Asics Procourt ‘Sidekick Pack’
Asics has teamed up with Japanese retailer Gettry on what is known as the Sidekick Pack. The pack consists of two pairs of the Asics Procourt in color schemes resembling the worlds most famous superhero and his sidekick, Batman and Robin. The Batman version uses your usually black and yellow Batman color scheme while the Robin version sports a vibrant looking color scheme of red, green and yellow. The uppers on both sneakers are constructed from various materials such as nylon, patent leather, suede and smooth leather.

Asics Gel Lyte III Lite Brite Video
The other day we gave you a look at the Worlds Largest Lite Brite which Asics designed in honor of their Gel Lyte III Lite Brite. We have no obtained a time-lapse video displaying the building process of the Gel Lyte III lite brite. The unit smashed the previous record set and recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records using over 370,000 one-inch pegs on an 11ft high board.
Im not sure exactly where it is going to pop up but the Asics Gel Lyte III Lite Brite is currently touring around the country and popping up at various music events and art exhibits. If i hear anything about stops a long the tour i will be sure to keep you in the loop. Until then check out the video above.
ASICS GEL-LYTE III Lite-Brite – Worlds Largest
Who here remembers the old school Lite-Brite from back in the day? As a young’n i use to have a ton of fun with that thing and even in my mid 20s today i can still tool around with it and amuse myself for a few minutes.
In honor of their popular GEL-LYTE III, a featured style for edgy artist collaborations, ASICS designed the worlds largest Lite-Brite displaying a pair of the GEL-LYTE III’s. The specially designed Lite-Brite was debuted at a special VIP event at Splashlight Studios in New York City back in October which at that time ASICS received an official certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records.
The previous Guinness World Record for the Largest Lite-Brite Picture measured 4 ft. 9.25 in. by 9 ft. 9.5 in. and was constructed with 124,418 pegs. The unit which ASICS designed is illuminated over an 11 ft. by 15 ft canvas and has more than 300,000 original-sized pegs putting the old record to shame.
Currently the ASICS Lite-Brite unit is making its way around the country as part of the ASICS Lite-Brite Tour Across America. From time to time the GEL-LYTE III Lite-Brite will be appearing at major music events and designer footwear boutiques, offering viewers an up-close view at the worlds largest Lite-Brite.
Asics Gel Lyte Speed ‘Grey Goose’
Asics has made quite an impact for themselves within the past year with numerous collaborations and tons of releases which have gotten more then a few people talking. One of their future releases which has caught our eye is the Asics Gel Lyte Speed ‘Grey Goose’.
The upper of the Grey Goose Asics Gel Lyte Speed yields a buttery smooth grey suede upper in three shades of grey. A red and white stripe pattern is applied to the mid-sole and the laces while 3M detailing is used throughout the upper just incase the stripes dont add enough of their own “pop”. No official release date is available at this time but according to SneakerFreaker the sneakers should be hitting retailers in September.
