Nintendo Nike Air Max Classic BW

Its no surprise that somebody over at Nike finds plenty of inspiration from video game consoles. You got your ever popular Playstation 2 Air Force Ones along with recently releases such as the Nike Blazer High Premium ‘Game Select’ and Nike Air Force II ‘Game Select’ designed after the Atari CX2600. One of the video game consoles which will always be a classic, and one which Nike recently based these Air Max Classic BW sneakers off of is the original Nintendo system from the 80s. Although there is no official NES branding on these due to the fact its not an official collaboration you can most defiantly spot the similarities. If the white, grey and red colorway isnt a dead giveaway to the theme take a look up by the ankle. The right sneaker says “start” in red and the left sneaker says “select” which is obviously taken straight from a Nintendo controller. Also taken from the Nintentdo controller is the design of the keypad which Nike included on the mudguard of the Air Max Classic. You can find the Nintendo Nike Air Max Classic BW now at Nike retailers such as Proper as well as on Ebay where they are going for $95. More shots after the jump.
