Throwback: Nike Air Force One ‘ATC’ Customs

I was looking at some old pictures of throwback customs by Ghettroand i figured i would put up these custom air force ones for those of you how many not have seen them before. Ghettro did these over 3 years ago for a customer before the Air Tech Challenge theme got somewhat saturated in the custom sneaker industry. At the time there were only a hand full of designers using the theme, C2 Customs being one of them. I think these are fresh as hell, one of my favorites from Ghettro. I wouldnt mind seeing a pack of these in a few colorways coming from Ghettro, just designed a little differently to keep the customers pair original as it was when they purchased it. If you match up the lava design to the original design on a pair of ATCs you will see that the quality is flawless here. These would be a nice fit with something like the Goodfoot ATC Hat or the Leaders1354 ‘Rebel Leaders’ Fitted. Check out more shots after the jump.

Nike AF1 ‘Puccino’ Custom Sneakers

Dr Medzoo blessed me today Via Email with pictures of his latest custom sneaker dubbed ‘Puccino’. These were done for Oxmo Puccino who is a french hip hop artist who made his record debut in 96′ with ‘Pucc’. 2 pairs were done, one for Dr Medzoo himself and the other pair for Puccino which Medzoo hand delivered to him. Spread throughout the black upper Dr Medzoo included the Oxmo Puccino ‘OX’ logo in white with the hat sitting on top of the ‘O’. Out back on the heel a shaded black and white image of Puccinos face was added on top of the logos. The use of the nothing but black and white really makes the lime green on the tongue, heel tab and stitching on the Swoosh jump out at you without distracting you from the main focus of the sneakers. All of this was included in a box that carries the OX logo on top with Oxmo Puccino written across the side. Judging by the pictures taken from when Dr. Mezdoo gave Puccino the sneakers (After the jump) it seems it really liked them and its no surprise seeing how these things are top quality and fresh as hell. Check out all the pictures after the jump.

Nike Air Force One ‘Muhammad Ali’ Customs

I dont think many people can argue that Muhammad Ali was the greatest boxer of all time. The way he moved around the ring and the personality he had outside the ring made Muhammad loved by many fans. The crew over at GT Custom Kicks designed these custom air force ones to pay homage to the legendary boxing figure. There are a lot of amazing details for you to check out here, including 4 hand painted portraits of Muhammad Ali. Along with the very detailed portraits GT Custom Kicks also added newspaper clippings to the toe box and part of the side panel that are from the era when Muhammad Ali use to float around the ring. Something you may not realize about the red on the upper is that it was airbrushed and shaded to resemble the look of boxing gloves all included with authentic Everlast tags on the tongues. Those Everlast tags are such a nice addition to these and really take the design that extra step. Theres also fur insoles, but there are no pictures of those at the moment. Whether or not you respect Muhammad Ali as an athlete for what he did during his time or not you gotta check out the rest of the pictures after the jump to see the amount of work put into these. Hard work and plenty attention to detail sure paid off here. We have a lot more detailed shots of the Muhammad portraits after the jump so check em out.

Nike Air Force One ‘Lifeguard’ Custom Sneakers

One of the main things that goes along with the summertime is lifeguards. Many of these people wait half the year (depending on where you live) to snatch up that cream job sitting out by the pool or beach for majority of the day scooping out the girls or guys. A lifeguard reached out to Atex from Austin, Texas to get their own pair of these custom air force ones designed with a lifeguard theme. Atex covered the toe box on both sneakers in a very cool light blue and aqua design to represent water. The side panel has abunch of little red crosses hand painted on it to resemble the logo which is worn by lifeguards on their uniforms all over the country. On the heel panel of the right sneaker Atex added a larger solo red cross with ‘Lifeguard’ written across the center. On the heel of the left one theres a tube/life saving device. To finish it all up Atex covered the Nike Swoosh and the top half of the heal panel in light blue and slapped in a pair of red laces. The edges on a few things could be cleaned up a little bit, such as the red crosses themselves, but overall the concept behind these is really cool and im sure any lifeguard could respect them. A lot more detailed pics follow after the jump so check em out.

Nike ‘Lockdown’ Air Force One Custom Sneakers

These custom Air Force Ones created by Krinj are pretty sick. Krinj added a prison bar design to part of the heel panel, Nike Swoosh and part of the frontal all included with a pair of hands holding the bars. Also on the heel panel there is a design of a prison guard with his club raised ready to throw a prisoner a beating as he throws his hands up from the ground pleading for mercy. Stars have also been imprinted on the toe box to give the sneakers a little extra subtle touch which may be over looked at first glance. One of the coolest features on these sneakers though is the use of the clear mid panel which displays official government issued documents. They are real tickets which Krinj has gotten. There was also a custom box designed for the sneakers which also includes more government documents. More detailed shots after the jump.

Kanye Graduation Nike Blazers Update + Fake SBTG Sneakers

Many of you have left me numerous emails or left comments wanting to know more about the Kanye West Nike Blazers i posted up last year. For awhile i kept coming up short, until the other day. I managed to find out who the designer is of the custom Kanye inspried Blazers. Atleast i think they are the original designer. I say this cause as i was browsing the site i came across something i wasnt really to happy about. SBTG who is known by many people in the sneaker industry has had his custom sneakers duplicated in the past a few times. It seems that i have come across yet another customizer who has copied the work of SBTG, with the signature and everything included. They go by the name of Raul from Iraul.com and it seems they have a pair of duplicated customs on there. At this time i am unsure if they are actually the original designer or the Kanye kicks, i would like to think so but i dont know.. On their site there are a lot of cool customs, even some which are made to resemble official limited edition Dunks and AF1s (no problem with that, i can respect that) but at the same time you have work that is a copy of another customizer so i cant really make a call to if the work is original or not. I respect all customizers for the hard they put into these sneakers and i always hate to see one of them go and betray their own kind by copying a design. Either way this person is the (said) original designer of the Kanye West Nike Blazers, theres even a pair of Air Force Ones for those who are interested. You can check out the site here. And Raul, if your reading this, which im sure you are since you left comments on this site before, its not cool to see copies like that. I respect SBTG and his work, which has been posted here on the site numerous times, so im gonna have to go and send the Royalefam a lil message about this. Keep doing your thing, not somebody elses and hopefully we can get some more of your work featured here on the site. The fakes are pictured after the jump.
