adidas ZX700 ‘Yoda’ Preview – adidas Originals Star Wars Collection

In 2007 adidas teamed up with Star Wars on a pack of sneakers which instantly became highly sought after items for Star Wars fanatics upon their release. Come 2010 the duo is going to give fans another collection of Star Wars sneakers to search high and low for with the adidas Originals 2010 Star Wars Collection.
This collection will be bigger then those in previous years and will also include adidas models which have not been used within the Star Wars series before. For example the adidas ZX700 shown here which is inspired by Yoda. The shoes boast a color scheme of brown/tan/white/black with an upper made from various materials. A portion of the upper and tongue has an aged cracked leather to resemble the skin of Yoda, along with a section of tan canvas to resemble the road which Yoda wears. Theres also a touch of a bone-colored suede around the ankle with black on the sole unit. A sketch of Yoda, along with his name appears on the tongue with Yoda’s name debossed on the heel tab.
At this time we have only been provided with a few preview shots thanks to SC so stay tuned for further release details and more photos as we get closer to their official release. Click here to check out the rest of the preview photos.

adidas TS Commander LT ‘Superman’

When Dwight Howard took on Nate Robinson in the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest earlier this year it pretty much turned into a Superhero battle. Dwight brought out the Superman in him with by wearing a Superman cape and his special edition adidas TS Bounce Commander ‘Superman’ sneakers. Nate responded by breaking out the Nike Foamposite Lite ‘Kryptonate’, a nod to kryptonite, Superman’s quickness, which proved to be enough to defeat the Man in Steel as Nate ended up taking home the Slam Dunk Contest trophy by the end of the night.
It’s not time for the Slam Dunk festivities just yet but as it appears adidas has created Dwight Howard another pair of Superman themed sneakers, this time on adidas TS Commander LT, Dwight’s latest signature sneaker. Throughout the white leather base there are various laser etched Superman graphics on the toe and lateral side of the upper with Superman’s “S” logo included on the heel in its signature red/yellow color scheme. Both insoles of the sneakers have an enlarged Superman The Man Of Steel logo in black and white with a smaller Superman “S” logo in red/yellow.
At this time it is unclear on whether or not these sneakers will be making a release to the general public. Until further details arise click here or follow the jump to check out a few more pictures. Via: TSG
