‘Eye on Seattle’ Adidas by ATC
ATC (Above The Clouds) designed these custom Adidas Shell Toes for a camera lady who did a piece on them which aired on a Seattle news station some time ago. Costs on these were to be kept somewhat low so the idea was kept simple with a nice design of the city of Seattle across the side with a deep gray. On the other side of the Adidas Shell Toes you have the words “Above The Clouds” on one and “Eye On Seattle” on the other, which are both done in a light blue. The design on the lace tabs outlined in blue are a nice touch as well, adds a little something more then just the cityscape design to finish them up. The customs are basic and maybe not outrageous like previous work your use to seeing but for somebody reppin their hometown of Seattle these are more then enough to put a smile on their face, and the job is done clean. Adidas ‘Sounds Of The City’ Series
Adidas is releasing a new series of sneakers called ‘Sounds Of The City’. The sneakers will pay respect to some well known artist in the music industry, these particular ones which are shown will be limited but along with the release of these will also be a general release. The general release sneakers will pay tribute to each music artist home town. Adidas is also planned to release a ‘Sounds Of The City’ clothing line as well. The artists that are involved as as follows: Tuff Gong and the Marley Family (Kingston); Motown (Detroit); Alligator Records (Memphis); Jam Master Jay (Queens) and Blue Note (New Orleans).The Blue Note Pro Model as already been released at Adidas retailers in South East Asia and as the plan goes they will release a new sneaker every month as select locations. Adidas 2008 NBA All Star Game Series
February 17th marks the date for the 2008 NBA All Star game. As an official sponsor of the NBA and manufacturer of NBA appeal, Adidas is ready to release a whole new collection of custom NBA Jerseys, sneakers and apparel. On February 13th, which is tomorrow, Adidas will release a Team Signature Pro Model which is geared for the NBA All Star game. The Team Signature Pro Model will be the third addition to the Team Signature Pro line and it will be available in 2 colorways. Red, white and gold for the Western Conference and of course red, white and blue for the Eastern Conference. Aside from the Team Signature Pro Model Adidas will also release a limited number of the Original Pro Model in 2 colorways (shown above). Once again, red and gold for the Western Conference and, blue and silver for the Eastern Conference. The Original Pro Model features the logos of the NBA teams from that specific conference printed on the shoe. Check out more pictures after the jump.
Rebellion Customs, Custom Sneakers and Apparel
Now when it comes to custom sneakers the guys over at Rebellion Customs deffiently know what they are doing. They arent just knocking out various colorways, not that theres anything wrong with sneakers like that at all. Dr. Bibble, Skrybe and Dave Mass are guys who are true artists. Adidas Group Buys Mitchell and Ness
Adidas Group, the parent company for Adidas, Reebok and TaylorMade-Adidas Golf has purchased Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co., a company well known for their authentic throwback jerseys and jackets. As well as other nostalgic athletic apparel. There was no word on how much Adidas actually bought Mitchell & Ness for but one would imagine it was not cheap at all. If i had to throw a random number out there myself i would have to say it sold for around 50 million dollars. Just a guess. Mitchell & Ness currently holds licenses with the NBA, NFL, NHL and the MLB to reproduce vintage style authentic athletic apparel. Mitchell & Ness also makes jerseys for arena football for such teams as the Philadelphia Soul. Will we maybe see Mitchell & Ness now make its way into the MLS, Major League Soccer, now that Adidas Group has gotten a hold of the company?
Adidas Jam Master Jay Pack
Jam Master Jay is a name that is probably all to familiar to most of us. On October 30th 2002 Jam Master Jay was shot and killed. For the 5th anniversary of Jam Master Jays death, and for the J.A.M Awards which take place on November 29th, Adidas has put together a pack of 4 sneakers. The pack includes a Jam Master Jay Ultrastar and three Jam Master Jay Broughams. The Broughams are available in 3 different colorways as well. All 4 sneakers in the Jam Master Jay Adidas Pack will be available at Footlocker stores sometime in November. Follow the jump for more pictures.
