Tonight kicks off the first game of the 2009 NBA Finals with Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic taking on Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. Seeing as how Dwight and the Magic played a total of 108 games to make it to the finals its needless to say that the team has to be feeling a little fatigue right now. Theres no doubt the Magic is pumped up for the Finals, seeing as how this is the first time they have made it their since 1995, but 108 games can sure do a number on your body.

Looking to lose a little weight ‘Superman’ reached out to his reps over at Adidas to have them design him a new sneaker which is lighter on the feet but yet still maintains the support that a player like Dwight Howard needs. Adidas answered back with this exclusive TS Commander LT which is 6 ounces lighter then the sneakers Dwight wore during regular season and postseason games. This grey and blue NBA Finals design also introduces the new ‘fat stripes’ design concept, which provides enhanced mid-foot support and stability. Added details on this Dwight Howard TS Commander LT include ‘The Man Child’ printed across the tongue in an Old English font, ‘Command’ included across the toe of each sneaker and Dwights signature and number included on a metal plate on the heel.

After each and every game the Orlando Magic play in the NBA Finals Dwight will sigh the TS Commander LT’s he wore during the game and auction them off through the NBA.com website. Bidding will start at $1012.00 and will run through the Finals with bidding ending officially on June 20. The funds which are raised in the auctions will go to a charity which Dwight will announce at the end of the NBA Finals.
