adidas-star-wars-vehicle-pack

adidas and Star Wars fans have been ranting and raving about the massive adidas Originals x Star Wars Collection, with many scrambling to get their hands on the entire collection or some of their personal favorites from the series.

Earlier this year the adidas Originals and Star Wars released the first part of the collection, a lineup of sneakers inspired by characters from the Star Wars saga such as Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Princess Leia.

Next up for this co-branded collection is the Battle Vehicle Pack, five sneakers honoring a few of the battle vehicles from the Rebel and Galactic Empire. The pack features a Samba in a style inspired by the X-Wing, a Stan Smith 80 honoring the Millennium Falcon, a Superstar Vintage styled after the Death Star, a Nizza Hi for the Tie Fighter, and lastly a Forum Mid inspired by the AT AT. Incase you forget which vehicle is being represented the tongue tag of each model includes a graphic of the actual battle vehicle along with it’s name.

All five are available at Sneakersnstuff now and should be arriving at US distributors soon. For a closer look at each sneaker in the Vehicle Pack click here.

adidas Samba “Ripstop” – White/Air Force Blue

The adidas Samba is in heavy rotation right now, releasing in various colorways honoring select World Cup participants and in a handful of other random color variations for upcoming Spring and Summer seasons. While our focus has been on the World Cup models a few Samba’s released under the radar which shouldn’t go unnoticed.

One such pair is the adidas Samba “Ripstop” which makes use of leather and ripstop nylon, a nylon fabric which has inter-woven ripstop reinforcement threads in a crosshatch pattern. For this particular version the color combo of choice was White and Blue, with White leather trim surrounding a White ripstop base. Given the fact majority of the shoe is White any secondary color you add in is sure to do the trick and highlight the shoes in a major way. Which is exactly what the Air Force Blue accents on the sole unit, Samba embroidery and lettering on the tongue tag do, providing all the pop these sneakers need to get a few looks.

The sneakers are available now at select adidas retailers such as Karmaloop where you can get up to 20% off your entire order by entering Rep Code JH17345.

adidas Samba “USA & Germany” – FIFA World Cup 2010

To go along with the Brazil and England models adidas Originals has also released Samba’s honoring USA and Germany in their FIFA World Cup collection. Like England the American team hasn’t really been much of a competitor in the World Cup, which I’m sort of ashamed to say about my country. The best we’ve ever done was get third place, and that was 80yrs ago back in 1930. The German squad on the other hand has had their achievements over the years. Even though they’ve only been crowned Champions 1 time back in 1974, Germany holds a handful of World Cup records including one which ties them with Brazil for the most World Cup Final appearances.

Enough about that though, let’s move on to the kicks. For the US edition adidas Originals designed the Samba using a Black leather upper with Black suede wrapping around the toe. Accents of white appear on the adidas three-stripe, the mid-sole, and heel tab while the USA flag is included on the same button along the top of the lace eyelets which we saw incorporated onto the rest of the FIFA World Cup collection. The pair for Germany features a brighter finish with a Red leather base, Red suede around the toe and accents of White applied throughout. There’s also a Gum sole on this pair instead of the usual White and the button above the lace eyelets consists of the German flag.

Whether you like soccer or you’re just a fan of classic adidas’ you can get either of these two Samba’s now through HUF.

adidas Originals Samba “Brazil” – FIFA World Cup 2010

A few days ago we showed you the Samba “England”, one of the releases from adidas Originals in pack honoring some of the teams that will be competing for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It was a little bit of a shocker to see a model honoring England as they are hardly a competitor compared to the other National Football Teams. Take for example Brazil, a team which can’t go unmentioned when speaking about the FIFA World Cup seeing as how they hold more records then any other country and have been the only team in history to appear in every World Cup, bringing home the cup 5 times out of their 7 World Cup Final appearances.

With Brazil’s history in the World Cup they’re defiantly one of the teams we can see honored in a pack and with that said it comes as no surprise to see this adidas Originals Samba honoring Team Brazil. Brazil’s signature color scheme of Green and Yellow is used in the form of accent colors on a White leather base with a Grey suede toe. Along the top of the lace panel is a button including a graphic of Brazil’s flag. If you’ll be rooting on Team Brazil come June this adidas Originals Samba “Brazil” may be something you’ll wanna look into picking up help really show your team pride. If you’re not a fan of the Samba, or adidas, which you should be, there’s also the Reebok Classic “Brazil”.

If you’re interested in getting yourself a pair you can do so through Karmaloop where you can use Rep Code JH17345 to save you up to 20% on your entire order price.

adidas Originals Forum Mid TF

In 1984 adidas released the Forum, their first basketball sneaker which they produced not only in a high top style but also in mid and low top versions. The Forum is known to be one of adidas’ most popular basketball shoes and one of their most iconic styles ever produced due to the high level of detail that adidas ensured was present in the shoe – Dellinger webbing, the Velcro ankle strap, plus the lofty price tag which was a mere fraction of other sneakers like it.

Starting with the classic Forum Mid adidas Originals revamped the sneakers and turned them into ‘transformable’ versions called the Forum Mid TF. When we say transformable we mean in the sense where the shoes use a removable popper/Velcro panel which lays across the lace stay and provides you with two different looks depending on your preference. The first Forum Mid TF to release will be this nicely done Black/Grey/Black-Orange version which uses fairly neutral colors on the upper with the accent features coming into play on the outsole. We unfortunately don’t have a photo of the sneakers with the strap removed but thanks to CrookedTongues, where the sneakers are available for pre-order, we are able to give you a look at the shoe in it’s entirety with the strap intact.

Click here to check out the photos and stay turned for further details as we try and locate some photos of the shoes without the strap.

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals “JS Mickey”

Going strong since February 2009 is the adidas Originals by Originals Collection, an ongoing project which teams Jeremy Scott, Alyasha from Fiberops and Kazuki from Fragment Design with adidas to produce some of the most exclusive and original products. Each of the three artist’s have no doubt put together some very unique items but none quite as popular as what Jeremy has released alongside adidas.

For his latest venture with the adidas Originals by Originals collection Jeremy Scott worked up a pair of high tops which feature a character we just saw a reference to on a pack of Vans SK-8 Hi’s. Clearly visible and stitched to the tongue of the shoes is a large Mickey Mouse head who’s ears extended higher then the actual tongue to give off the appearance that they use an enlarged tongue like we’ve seen on some of Jeremy’s other releases. As everybody should know Mickey’s signature outfit is done up in a color combo of Red and Yellow, therefore Jeremy carried over the color scheme and incorporated it onto the JS Mickey to go along with the Mickey head. The colorup sort of reminds me of the JS Africa from 2009, besides for the fact there’s no Blue in this one and the shade of Red is just a tad darker. There’s also some finer details which aren’t visible from afar such as Jeremy Scott’s name printed on the upper lace eyelets.

I’m not quite sure when the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals “JS Mickey” sneakers will be available in the US, but they are available now at Kasina which is located in Korea. Click here to view additional photos.
