Next week on Earth Day, which is April 22nd, Nike and Steve Nash will release their second eco-friendly shoe known as the Zoom MVP Trash Talk. The Nike Zoom MVP Trash Talk’s advance design uses an upper stitched together from leather and synthetic leather waste from the manufacturing process and has an outsole which uses environmentally-preferred rubber that reduces toxics and incorporates Nike Grind material from the outsole manufacturing waste. The shoe laces are made from recycled polyester and recycled EVA was used for the sockliner. The box that the Zoom MVP Trash Talk will come in is even eco-friendly. The shoe will be packaged in a corrugated shoe box made from 100 percent recycled fiber, using 30 percent less material compared to the previous design which is a huge imporvement.
The sneakers will be a House of Hoops exclusive which will hit all three of the locations (NY, LA and Chicago) on April 22nd. Be sure to follow the jump to check out more detailed pictures, including a look at a white/orange colorup of the Zoom MVP Trash Talk.
