During the SXSW festival a few weeks ago in Austin, TX Airwalk brought out a few pairs of a new colorup of the classic Prototype 540, a model originally introduced by Airwalk in the early 90s. This pair features all the same key elements the 540s debuted with, such as the large velcro lace panel across the tongue with was a big success during its era due to the fact it protected the laces during those rough skate sessions.
Compared to a white/red pair of the Airwalk Protoype 540 we saw in the past this pair has a much more darker design which includes an all black upper slightly accented with white and a splash of purple.
