Last month during the 2009 NBA All-Star Weekend in Phoneix, AZ Jordan Brand held a retail event at the Metro Center Mall to give people a sneak peak at the Air Jordan 2009 which was set to release over that weekend. During the event Team Jordan athletes such as Chris Paul and Mike Bibby turned out to sign some autographs and even celebrities such as Jadakiss showed up to the event to check things out. Besides for meeting the athletes and rubbing shoulders with celebrities people were given a first hand look at the Air Jordan 2009.
To show people the Air Jordan 2009 and inform them about its construction and the design process behind it Jordan Brand set up multiple tv screens which each had a pair of the Air Jordan 2009above it. Sitting next to the TV screen was a pair of headphones which you could put on and listen to an excerpt about the Air Jordan 2009. While most folks were probably so caught up looking at the sneakers they may have no even realized what kind of headphones they had just slapped over their ears.
The headphones being used for the displays were some of the best headphones on the market, Skullcandy Ti headphones. Skullcandy produced roughly about 40 of these Air Jordan Ti headphones exclusively for Jordan Brand to use during the event at the Metro Center Mall. As you can see the Ti headphones are all white with gold trim, with Jordan printed across the top in gold and the Air Jordan Jumpman logo on the actual headphones also in gold.
When it comes to collectible Jordan memorabilia these would defiantly be something nice to have. Not only some of the best headphones in the industry, but an extremely limited Jordan edition. Hit the jump to check out a few more pictures from the event and the displays that were set up.
