Nike RT1 High – Black / Red

We have waited quite awhile for some detailed pictures of the Nike RT1 High to surface before we posted any info about them. Finally, thanks to SneakerNews, detailed photos are finally here. The Nike RT1 High is a new design by Nike which many have referred to as the Un-Yeezy due to having a similar build, without the strap of course.

Nike found inspiration for the RT1, which stands for Revolution Trainer 1 by the way, from the classic Air Trainer 1. For the black/red colorway of the RT1 shown here we can see that Nike constructed them using an assortment of different textured leathers in black to make up the paneling on the upper and tongue. The mid-sole on the sneakers is completely white while 3/4ths of the outsole is red. For the liner on the back of the tongue Nike used a red fabric with black paisley printings. We would expect a model like this, which uses plenty of premium materials to be priced well around or above $150 but in fact upon their release the Nike RT1 High will retail for just $95.

This black colorway of the Nike RT1 High is set for an April release while a neutral grey/cool grey color scheme is rumored for a May release.
